Page 5 of 10 Medical Solutions 3-2AdjustmentsAdjustments with the Control Consoles
0The adjustments in these instructions are described so that they can be used for both control consoles.
•
Switching the generator from normal mode to service is performed according to "Ser-vice Mode".•
The service menus, etc. intended for the adjustment as well as the structure of the menus are described in the Configuration Instructions (COPL-136.843.03 / Standard Console Configuration Lists) or (COPL-136.843.03 / Touch Panel Configuration List).IONTOMAT
0Adjustment / Setting / Testing the IONTOMAT is described in detail in the Startup Instruc-tions.
Tube Adjustment
0Is a super ordinate menu so that, depending on the selection, there is a branching into "Tube warm up" or "Tube Learn filament" (only with the standard console).
Stat. Inverter Adjust
0In this mode, the parallel frequency of the oscillating circuit of the inverter is adjusted automatically.
•
This adjustment absolutely must be performed after replacing the following parts in the oscillation circuit:- Inverter - Parallel coil - Cabling
- High voltage transformer / single tank - D 500
NOTE The exposure button starts the automatically running function
(ex-posure series). The ex(ex-posure button must be held for the entire pe-riod of the exposure series. If the button is released too soon, Error 0021 is displayed.
The user is requested to repeat the function.
Exposure data are automatically displayed on the control console.
•
When the exposure button is pressed, the generator starts the automatic adjustment.6
Adjustments
Tube Warm-up
0NOTE For the time being, absolutely perform the “Stat. Inverter Adjust”
adjustment.
With this function, the tube unit is conditioned, or the tube unit can be brought up to the operating temperature for the "Tube Learn filament".
Appropriate exposure data are automatically displayed on the control console.
•
When the "Main Contact" exposure button is pressed, the generator starts the first ex-posure.- The pause time and the progress of the "series", step X of 11, is displayed on the con-trol console (depending on the concon-trol console, the pause time is signaled by a beep-ing sound).
NOTE During the exposure series (11 exposures), the trigger switch can
remain pressed or each exposure is triggered individually.
•
After completing it, there is a return to the super ordinate menu.NOTE With the Standard Console: The screen is exited with the kV-
but-ton and there is a return to the super ordinate menu.
Filament Learn
0NOTE For the time being, absolutely perform the “Stat. Inverter Adjust”
adjustment.
In this mode, the transition between standby and exposure heating is adjusted automati-cally.
NOTE For the time being, the tube unit must be brought up to the
operat-ing temperature, e.g. with "Tube Warm-up" or with soperat-ingle shots.
First the adjustment is made with a long preparation time (without pushing). - Large focus, 10% tube load
- Large focus, 80% tube load - Small focus, 10% tube load
- Small focus, 80% tube load (if 1 or 2 times the reference value for the heating current occurs during the 10% exposure, the 80% exposures are shot at only 60%).

NOTE The exposure button starts the automatically running function
(ex-posure series). The ex(ex-posure button must be held for the entire pe-riod of the exposure series; if the button is released too soon, Error 0021 is displayed.
The user is requested to repeat the function.
•
When the "Main Contact" exposure button is pressed, the generator starts the expo-sure series.NOTE If the exposure series is interrupted (abort by the user or by an
er-ror that occurs, door contact open,...), a pause absolutely must be observed prior to restarting the exposure series. Pay attention to the X-ray tube unit temperature, because the "pause time display" is not current.
•
After completing it, there is a return to the super ordinate menu.mAs Relay Adjust
0In this mode, the mAs relay can be adjusted. To do this, connect an mAs test meter to the D500 board.
•
Connect the test meter on the D500 board at X220, Pins 1 and 2.•
Set the S2 mA measuring switch (D500) to position "2". LED V67 goes on.•
Exposure data are automatically displayed on the control console. - 70 kV- 80 mAs
NOTE The generator always shoots with the same value as for the
adjust-ment so the every time the adjustadjust-ment is performed, the "same" difference between the display and the measured value results. For a check, an exposure should be triggered outside of service. However, the check is not required!
•
When the "Main Contact" exposure button is pressed, the generator starts the expo-sure.- Once the exposure is completed, the mAs display blinks in the display.
•
Compare the measurement value and the value indicated on the display.- If the values are different, the measured value must be entered directly with the mAs keys or on the Touch Panel.

Adjustments
•
With the Standard Console: The changed value is saved with the "M" button and there is a return to the super ordinate menu.•
With the Standard Console: There is a return to the super ordinate menu with the "kV" key without saving the value.•
Set the S2 mA measuring switch (D500) to position "1". LED V67 does not go on.Siemens AG COPL-136.842.02.05.02 POLYDOROS IT / IT-S 08.05 CS PS 212

0NOTE The generator low voltages (+15V / -15V ...) result from the
adjust-ment of the 5V. For setting values and test points, see Wiring Dia-gram (COPL-136.844.03
