Euro 5 “Pass Thru” (ISO22900 or SAE J2534) is a standard for downloading software to a vehicle ECU with a generic, independent tool. The regulation gave the independent aftermarket the possibility to reprogram ECUs. It started with the emissions related ECUs, extended on some vehicles. Delphi Euro 5 VCI is a tool that allows you to download new software to some of the reprogrammable electronic control units of Euro 5 type approved vehicles, without purchasing the manufacturer tool.

Having a dedicated Euro 5 interface is more practical, leaving your diagnostic tool free for other tasks in the workshop. Some vehicel ECU updates can take more than 12 hours!
