Ooredoo has partnered with MoneyGram – a leading global money transfer

company – that has more than 321,000 agent locations in 198 countries/territories.

This means that Ooredoo Mobile Money customers can send money to almost every country in the world.

Ooredoo Mobile Money (OMM) is a mobile wallet (also called OMM Wallet or mWallet) service that enables you to pay, send or receive money instantly using your mobile phone.

OMM turns your Shahry or Hala mobile phone into a new way to send money

abroad, or to friends and colleagues here in Qatar, top-up Hala accounts or pay your Shahry bills – safely, easily and conveniently.

This short step-by-step guide takes you through the main features of your Ooredoo Mobile Money (OMM) service.

• A new way to transfer money home, safely and securely

• Forget the long queues! Send cash at a time and place that suit you, directly through your mobile

• The service is as easy to use as sending an SMS, all the instructions you need are on a menu in your phone

• Money is sent instantly and available to your friends and family straight away through a simple collection process

• Deposit ‘Cash In’ to your accounts at any one of 200 Self Service Machines throughout Qatar

First, register for free

Thank you for registering with Ooredoo Mobile Money. To start using the service, dial *140#

Option I: visit any Ooredoo Shop

• Register instantly, don’t forget:

- Your original Qatar ID card (not a copy) - An active Ooredoo Connection (Hala or

Shahry) registered to your name/QID

Option II: directly from your Ooredoo Mobile (Mini Wallet)

• Dial *140# from your mobile

• Enter your QID

• Accept Terms & Conditions

Once you successfully register:

• You’ll receive an SMS confirmation and your OMM Wallet will be created

• After that, simply dial *140# to set up your 6-digit mPIN as shown on the next page and access your mWallet

Go to any Ooredoo Shop with your registered Ooredoo number and deposit cash to your account.

Option III: directly from any QNB bank account

Step 1: call the QNB Call Centre to register for the QNB Mobile Payment service Step 2: after registering, simply send an SMS to 92111 with the following:

QMM <SPACE> OMM Wallet (Ooredoo mobile number) <SPACE> Amount in QR (e.g. QMM 33123456 100)

Type OK and send to 92111 to confirm the transaction Option IV: via salary transfer

Ask your employer to send your salary directly to your mWallet. You’ll get your salary quicker and it’s much more secure. You can do so either by:

1. Asking your employer to contact the Ooredoo Call Centre on 111 2. Calling 111 and giving us the following details:

a. Name of your employer

b. Company name and telephone number 3. Visiting ooredoo.qa to register your interest

Withdraw Cash Out from your OMM Wallet

• Create a Cash Out voucher by dialling *140#

Once you have your Cash Out voucher number, follow these steps:

1. Go to a QNB ATM and select the OMM Cash Out option 2. Enter your voucher number and the amount you wish to withdraw 3. After verifying the details, the ATM will dispense the cash for you If you have any questions, please call the Ooredoo Call Centre on 111.

It’s the most convenient, easy, safe and fast way to send money around the world.

It simplifies your life and saves you time and money by allowing you to remit simply by pressing a few buttons on your Ooredoo mobile phone.

With MoneyGram and OMM you can send money instantly to 198 countries/territories.

‘Cash Pick Up’ from MoneyGram locations is the most popular form of transfer. mWallet and bank accounts credit are also available in selected countries as alternative forms of transfer. Dial *140# to check available options.

You can also send money to any bank accounts, to eSewa mobile wallet in Nepal and GCash or Smart Money in the Philippines using the direct Ororedoo channel.

How can I send money abroad?

OMM and MoneyGram – an internationally renowned money transfer company – have partnered, which means you can send money to 198 countries/

territories using only your Ooredoo mobile number.

The information in this user guide explains how to get started. But if you have more questions, feel free to call us on 111.

How can the recipients receive the money?

By visiting any of the MoneyGram marked outlets and providing them with the 8-digit reference number you’ll receive once you send the money. Tell them not to forget to bring a valid photo ID! MoneyGram has more than 321,000 agent locations in 198 countries/

territories, which means they’re pretty much available anywhere for your convenience.

Who is eligible to use the OMM service?

Anyone who’s over 18 and has a Qatar ID.

Do I need to have a bank account to open an OMM account?

No. OMM has been created so people without bank accounts can also use it.

What kind of phones can be used for the OMM service?

The OMM service is available for use on any model of mobile phone and functions on both a feature-phone and a smartphone.

Who manages the money in the OMM Wallet?

Your money is managed and secured by QNB.

Can I use my existing SIM for the OMM service?

As a registered Ooredoo mobile customer, as long as the SIM is active and registered for OMM, you’ll be able to use the OMM services.

Is there a minimum balance for OMM accounts?

No.

How long can my money remain in my OMM account? Will I lose it after a certain period of time?

Your money is safe for an unlimited period of time.

Do I get charged for the confirmation SMS?
