October 10: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3).
This week, we celebrate the Twenty Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Our readings for today challenge us to empty ourselves and to trust in the Word of God. In a simple manner, when a water bottle is emptied after we drink its contents, there is definitely room to fill it up again. Similarly, when we cast our cares and worries to our Lord Jesus Christ, we are able to receive His grace and mercy. Thus, let us challenge ourselves this week to practice how to let go of our cares and worries in our daily lives.
Thank you for volunteering at our Parish Birthday last Sunday. We truly appreciate your assistance and presence. Hence, as we continue to celebrate October as the month of our Blessed Virgin Mary, we invite all families, especially those in our Confirmation, Junior High and High School Youth Ministry Formation, to join us in fellowship and worship at the Sunday 5:30 pm Youth Mass. Please come and participate with us as a Lector, as an Usher, as a Eucharistic Minister or as a Teen Lead. 3rd Grade Family Mass is Sunday, October 10 at the 9:00 Mass. We are so blessed by Natalie and Gerald Mason as our third grade catechists in PREP and Mrs. Maria Evardone as the third grade teacher at St.
