Getting Started
If you wish to install HPAC Agent and configure HPAC Secure Pull Print Express with OXPd 1.4 on the same MFP, special instructions are required using the HP AC Configuration Utility. Because OXPd 1.4 and HPAC Agent require large amounts of memory from the MFP, the two components must be installed in a specific order and a special HPAC Agent install file must be used. Follow the steps below using the HP AC Configuration Utility.
1. Install OXPd 1.4 and then configure HPAC Secure Pull Print Express. For more information about OXPd 1.4 and configuring HPAC Secure Pull Print Express, see the HPAC Secure Pull Print Express Administrator Guide.
2. Install HPAC Agent using the HPAC-Agent-No-HP-DSE-20110916-Bundle-0 file and then configure HPAC Agent for the MFP. For instructions to install and configure HPAC Agent, see the HPAC Agent Administrator Guide.
IMPORTANT: If HPAC Agent is installed before OXPd 1.4 is installed, or if the HPAC-Agent-No- HP-DSE-20110916-Bundle-0 file is not used after OXPd is installed, the printer does not function and displays a service error. If this error occurs, notify your HP Support contact.
NOTE: If HPAC Secure Pull Print Express is configured with OXPd 1.6, OXPd does not need to be installed and therefore the above instructions do not need to be followed. The problem occurs only when OXPd 1.4 and HPAC Agent are installed on the same MFP.
