Our partners, Andy Zittell and Bruce Frankel, created the firm to fill a void in the marketplace. While many in the financial industry still rely on a “buy, hold, and hope” approach to investing, we saw that a new strategy was required to address the demands of today’s global technologically driven bubble-burst economy. That’s why we created our unique Three Pillars
of Wealth Management to help our clients manage risk and pursue building wealth.
While the Three Pillars are at the core of our business model, we understand that not all advisors embrace a similar approach. In those situations, we can continue to manage the assets as they are through a transition phase.
We’ve also removed conflicts from the client-advisor relationship by offering unbiased, conflict-free wealth management. As fee-based advisors, we don’t sell proprietary products and don’t make recommendations based on enhanced commissions or other incentives. Finally, we’re committed to providing each of our clients with holistic wealth management services that can be adapted to their changing needs and goals.

Pillar One—Grow & Protect: Grow & Protect is our disciplined process for managing clients’ investments. We seek to capture growth when the market is rising and protect capital when the market is falling, reducing attitude and opinion with the goal of creating stable, risk-managed portfolios.
Pillar Two—Alternative Investments: The goal of this pillar is to incorporate genuinely non-correlated assets into the investments of our clients. Clients have the option to employ a diverse set of carefully selected alternative investments to help create portfolio stability and/ or generate income. Alternative investments may not be suitable for all investors and involve
special risks such as leveraging the investment, potential adverse market forces, regulatory changes, and potentially illiquidity.
Pillar Three—Risk Transfer: Without bias or sales pressure, we educate each client on the options for transferring risk to highly rated insurance companies. This balanced approach allows them to make an informed decision about risk transfer with the understanding it is dependent on the claims-paying ability of the insurer.

At Yerba Buena Financial Partners, we have deployed the best available technology solutions, allowing our support team to consistently deliver superior client service:
• Web-based secure CRM. We have implemented a state-of-the-art customer relationship management (CRM) system, custom-designed by financial service professionals for financial service professionals. Integration into email and word processing software allows for seamless documentation and provides a systemized follow-up process on all client contact and meetings. The sales and work-flow processing tools allow for detailed tracking of the client acquisition process from initial contact to the transfer of assets.
These same tools and integrations enable the team to deploy the consistent delivery of products and service to all clients. The tools are continuously updated to meet latest technology trends and for ongoing service improvement.
• Secure e-file system. After an extensive due diligence process, we selected what we feel is the best file system in the cloud, which provides the highest level of security allowed in the private sector, passed the broker-dealers due diligence, and adhered to FINRA regulations. Documents are transmitted via secure links or secure e-faxing in full compliance of protection of personally identifiable information (PII). Through this system we able to efficiently and securely deliver impeccable client service.
Marketing
If you choose to partner with us, our marketing support team will work with you during the transition phase to develop a marketing plan that will allow you to seamlessly transition your clients. Our goal is to make the transition easy for your clients while also optimizing the value of your practice.
After the client transition is complete, consistent, on-message marketing helps us maintain and grow those client relationships. We regularly touch clients through our weekly market commentary, monthly newsletters, webinars, lunch and learn events, client appreciation events, and birthday cards.
Back Office
As independent advisors, we have the flexibility to select and implement the best available tools for back-office functions, so that we’re able to provide
the superior service that clients demand. We also have a dedicated support team that
handles all back-office functions, including client record keeping, client reports, new account paperwork, account transfers, and tax reporting.

Andrew Zittell is the founding partner and LPL Registered Principal of Yerba Buena Financial Partners. A skilled financial professional with a passion for helping clients build, protect, and distribute their wealth, he is the firm’s securities principal and compliance officer. He also serves as co-portfolio manager for the firm and is responsible for product due diligence. With more than two decades of experience in financial services, Andrew’s background is in retirement, insurance, and estate planning.
