If you’re ready to accept new challenges

and increase your earning potential,

Marian University’s RN to BSN is a great

way to advance your knowledge and take

your nursing career to the next level.

RN to BSN

Now is the perfect time to consider

earning a BSN degree.

• Experts say that the BSN is fast becoming the industry standard (US News and World

Report, “US News Best Jobs 2012,” 2012). • Employers prefer nurses with a bachelor’s degree, and there is a correlation between higher education and higher salaries (NurseZone, “Nursing Salary Trends,” 2012). • Nurses with BSN degrees are prepared to meet the demands placed on today’s nurse. (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, “The Impact of Education on Nursing Practice,” 2012). • The number of baccalaureate-prepared nurses needs to increase by 30 percent (Institute of Medicine, “The Future of Nursing,” 2010). • Many hospitals have BSN-preferred hiring policies; all nurses beyond entry level at the Veteran’s Administration must have a BSN degree. (American Association of Colleges of

Nursing, “The Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing as Minimal Preparation for Professional Practice,” 2012).
