Integrity Check

Data integrity check using electronic signatures and comparison with the original. Based on MD5 or SHA-1 algorithm.

Global namespaces

A share can be physically distributed but remains a single logical namespace. A distributed lock manager ensures data consistency.

Versioning

When activated, this feature records versions of modiﬁed ﬁles according to the versioning policy. This feature also protects against deletion.

Scalability

A share can grow non-disruptively by adding storage capacity to storage pools. You can also add storage nodes to increase performance.

MAIN FEATURES

Architecture

Software-based storage virtualization system designed for providing secondary storage space for ﬁles. It is tiered, distributed and policy-based, and supports standard servers (Nodes) and any kind of storage technology. Data from the logical spaces (Shares) are placed in the physical storage (Pools) by the policies.

Tiered Storage

Policy-based tiering based on data retention. Oldest data is moved to deeper disk or tape storage.

Distributed

Storage nodes can be installed in various locations on the network. A set of connected nodes is called a Circle. The shares are accessible from any node.

Replication

The number and location of the physical copies are deﬁned by the storage policies, according to the required level of protection against failures or disasters.

LICENSE MODE

Purchase of a license for on-premises installation. Annual maintenance contract covering:

• technical support

• remote connection from the support team for troubleshooting

SUBSCRIPTION MODE

License and maintenance are merged into a single annual or quarterly subscription. The service is similar to the standard maintenance contract.

MANAGED SERVICES

This extension of the standard maintenance contract allows you to save time and focus on your core business. This remote service covers monitoring, reporting and system maintenance.
