A. General Description:

The Pen Drive 2.0 is a removable flash disk drive with USB connection and can support up to 1GB disk space, which is 711 pieces 1.44MB floppy disk. Pen Drive 2.0 is compatible with USB 2.0 specification and it is also compatible with USB 1.1 specification. Pen Drive is a plug and play device, simply plug it into any USB port and it will automatically detected by the computer as another drive. Now you can read, write, copy, delete and move data from your hard disk drive to Pen Drive or from Pen Drive to your hard disk drive with the high speed of USB 2.0.

Pen Drive is so compact that you can take it with you anywhere in your pocket. It comes in various storage capacities, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB. Now, you don’t have to carry a laptop computer with you to work if you have access to a computer. “Bring your data only.” Moreover, Pen Drive does not require any battery or software drivers (driverless in Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac 8.6, Max 9.x, Mac 10.x and Linux Kernel 2.4.0 or above) nor cables, and is compatible with any desktop or notebook computers with USB port.

B. Controller Outline:

The PS3001 & PD720130 USB controllers are the best solution for USB Flash Memory Storage Devices. It is the most effective way to transfer files between the NAND Flash Memory and the host computer through USB 1.1 / 2.0 interface. With the USB plug and play function and driverless solution, these devices provide not only easy to install, but also fast, easy to use and low cost way for users. No miscellaneous installation, no external power is required, just plug and play.

G. Installation Procedure:

G.1 Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP

No driver is required. These Windows operating systems have built-in driver to support Pen Drive 2.0, but you will need to install USB 2.0 driver for the motherboard first, before the motherboard can support USB 2.0; then, simply insert Pen Drive 2.0 into the USB port in either desktop PC or notebook computer. You will find a new drive icon (Removable Drive) shown in the “My Computer”

window.

G.3 Mac OS

There are not any USB 2.0 hardware available yet for Mac users, in other words, Mac does not

support USB 2.0. However, users can still use Pen Drive 2.0 in Mac machines, but it will only have the

performance of the USB 1.1.

You can use the Pen Drive 2.0 in the following OS’s. (1) Mac 8.6 (the very last version of 8.6 only) (2) Mac 9.x

(3) Mac 10.x

No driver installation is require, operating system will pick up the Pen Drive 2.0 automatically.
