IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is the vendor’s responsibility to provide the correct documentation to accompany each animal. Purchasers shall have 4 days from the day of the sale to check that any cattle documents they receive are accurate. After this period the auctioneers will not accept any responsibility for resolving any dispute. Within the time period, the purchaser can, at the vendor’s expense return to the vendor any beast or alternatively claim from the vendor any premium lost as a result of the vendors inaccurate description of the animals documentation.

WARNING

It is critical that the correct ages of the cattle are given out at the time of sale. Any discrepancies in ages arising following the sale shall be the responsibility of the vendor.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

All livestock is sold under the terms of our Conditions Of Sale, which are on display in our Livestock Market office

REMOVAL OF STOCK

Hauliers will be in attendance and auctioneers will be pleased to arrange transportation.

TIME OF SALE

Would all vendors and purchasers, please note that the starting time of the sale will be 10.30am. The auctioneers would ask all vendors to make every effort to ensure that their stock is penned by 10.00am and the staff will be on hand to assist with the unloading of stock from 7.00am on the morning of the sale. Any cattle not penned by 10.00 am. may not be included in the draw.

GUIDANCE ON BIO-SECURITY AT MARKET

1. All loaded vehicles must have a fully completed owners declaration relating to livestock which must be shown at the market entrance.

2. Clean rubber boots and waterproofs must be worn and disinfected prior to entry to animal penning area.

3. Access to animals will be provided to registered persons only at a single point adjacent to market office.

4. Footwear must be cleansed and disinfected at all identified control points.

5. All visitors are requested to abide by the Bio-Security instructions posted at various locations throughout the market.

6. Vehicles unloading stock must disinfect trailer/lorry wheels prior to exiting market. Trailers will be allowed out of market without complete cleansing and disinfection as long as they cleanse and disinfect within 24 hours at home. However, any trailers returning to pick up unsold stock will first need to cleanse and disinfect on the lorry wash.

7. All livestock must be removed from the premises on the day to allow cleansing and disinfection of site by market staff.

8. Please note that movement of animals back on to the farm will trigger the 6 day standstill on storestock and fatstock off movements.

ALL STORE CATTLE OVER 42 DAYS OF AGE MOVING OUT OF A 1-2 YEARLY TESTED HERD MUST HAVE BEEN TESTED NEGATIVE TO TB WITHIN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO MOVEMENT.

YOU MUST NOT UNLOAD CATTLE UNLESS YOU CONFORM TO THESE REGULATION RICS Client Money Protection Scheme

All financial transactions within this market are conducted with the Auctioneers acting as principal. Sale proceeds are not paid into a client bank account and, consequently, the RICS Client Money Protection Scheme (CMPS) will not apply to protect the vendor.
