Introducing TV Guide Interactive, the leading

interactive program guide for digital cable.

TV Guide Interactive’s easy to use features put you in control of your television viewing. Finding what’s on television has never been this easy and fun.

Review this brochure to learn more about the features of TV Guide Interactive and get the most out of your digital cable package. To get additional information about any feature of TV Guide Interactive, press

HELPon your remote.

Here’s what you should know about basic navigation with TV Guide Interactive:

• Yellow is always the highlight color. When you highlight an option such as a button selection or a program listing, it is outlined in yellow, so you always know where you are in the guide.

• To move the highlight, press the buttons on the remote. • Press OK to select the highlighted item.

• To exit any TV Guide Interactive screen, and return to watching television, simply press the EXIT key on your remote.

Quickly find programs by entering up to five letters of the program name.

• Access detailed information and ordering screens from the on-screen promotions or any of the program listings.

• Highlight the on-screen promotions or any program listing, then press OK to see an information screen.

• Use the arrow keys to set Reminders, set Locks, order pay-per-view and more.

From any of the listings menus, it’s easy to find the programs you’re looking for using these basic functions:

• Press the buttons to highlight a program. • Press OK. If the program is on now, you will tune to

it. If the program is on later, a Program Information screen will appear, letting you set a Reminder, set a Parental Control Lock and see all the times the selected program is on. If the program is a pay-per-view selection, you can order it using your remote, or follow instructions on-screen to order by phone. • Press INFO while highlighting a program to access

detailed information.

• Select the on-screen promotions to see Program Information screens.

• Press LOCK to restrict viewing of the currently highlighted program.

• Press PAGE to quickly see the next/previous page of listings.

Define all of your Favorite channels for easy access while watching TV or using the guide.

setup

Setup options let you customize certain features of the interactive program guide such as the Flip Bar, Parental Control options and Language.

parental control

With Parental Control, you decide what you want your kids to watch.

• Place locks on channels, titles and program ratings.

• Set a purchase code to prevent unauthorized purchases.

• Hide adult titles from being displayed in the guide.

message center

Receive messages from your cable company. An envelope on-screen and a red light on your cable box lets you know you have a new message.

digital music

• Choose from a list of all digital music services available.

• The current song title and artist information is displayed while your selection plays.

• Press INFO to see more digital music information.

That’s it. A Reminder will automatically be set for this program so you won’t miss it.

Ordering Pay-Per-View By Phone

If your cable service uses phone ordering, simply call the number displayed on the screen to order. Press OK to set a Reminder.

Canceling a Pay-Per-View Order

To cancel a pay-per-view order before the program starts, highlight the ordered program in any of the listings menus (it will have a checkmark next to it) then press OK. Select the time

you ordered, then press OK.

Now, highlight , then press OK. It’s that easy.

In some systems, your order is automatically

canceled and you will not be billed if you do not tune to a pay-per-view program. In systems that use phone ordering, you must call to cancel your order.

Ordering pay-per-view movies and events is easy with

TV Guide Interactive.

Ordering Pay-Per-View

1.From any of the PPV listings menus, press the buttons to highlight the desired program. Press OK to see a pay-per-view Program Information screen.

2.Highlight the time you would like to watch the program by pressing the buttons, then press OK.

3.To confirm the order, highlight , then press OK.

Finding what’s on is as easy as changing channels using the

Flip and Browse features of TV Guide Interactive.

flip

The Flip Bar appears every time you change channels to make it easy to see what’s on now. The current channel number, program name, rating and start and end times are conveniently displayed. Press CHAN to change channels and see the Flip Bar on screen. Press OK to make the Flip Bar disappear and reappear.

Here’s what else you can do using the Flip Bar and your remote:

Press the LOCK button on your remote to restrict viewing of the current program.

Press INFO on your remote to get detailed information for the current program.

• Purchase pay-per-view programs as you tune to them.

Press FAV on your remote to flip through your favorite channels. Press the button to highlight the on-screen promotion. Press OK

and get detailed information about the advertised program or service.

browse

You can also use the Flip Bar to Browse what’s on other channels without missing a minute of what you’re watching. Press any of the buttons on your remote. The yellow highlight appears on the program listing, and the Flip Bar stays on screen, allowing you to see what’s on other channels.

Here’s what else you can do while you’re Browsing:

• Press the button to see future listings on a channel.

Press OK to get detailed program information about the program displayed on the Flip Bar.

Press to highlight the on-screen promotion. Press OK for detailed information about the advertised program or service.

HELP

Press at any time while using the guide to see helpful information.

CABLE

If the remote is not responding, try pressing this key first.

LOCK

Press while watch-ing TV, or while in a listings menu, to restrict viewing of the currently tuned or highlighted program.

INFO

Press to see a description for the currently tuned or highlighted program.

MENU

Press to enter and exit the interactive program guide.

CHAN ▲▼

Press at any time to change the channels.

DAY

While in Browse or any of the listings menus, press to quickly see the listing for the next / previous day.

FAV

To set Favorite channels, go to “Favorites” from the Main Menu. Press to Flip through Favorite Channels or navigate to Favorite Channels in listings screens.

EXIT

Press at any time to return to watching TV.

OK

Press to select a highlighted item, or press to show or remove the Flip Bar.

GUIDE

Press to quickly see the program listings menu.

ARROWS

Press to move the current highlight (yellow), or while watching TV, press to begin browsing.

LAST

Press to return to the previous screen or channel.

PAGE ▲▼

While in a listings menu, press to quickly see a new page of listings.
