Console Commands are a debugging toolavailable to PC players,adding a wide range offunctionality to the game.The tilde key (~ `) toggles the console screen open and closed.On mostEnglish language keyboards,itsits below the Escape (esc)key,and justleftofthe 1 (one) key.

Comparisons with other games

As with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind,and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,Console commands are only available in the PC version ofthe game.

Using the console

Entering codes

Codes are notcase sensitive;"a"is same as "A". Codes are shown as:Code <Variable> <#>

The <and >are notentered with the code,#is replaced by the desired quantity. The code to add an item is listed as:Player.AddItem <ItemID> <#>

Ifyou wanted to add 500 gold,itwould be entered as: player.additem f 500

Targeting

To targetan object,open the console and click the object.Its name willappearaboutcenterscreen.An item targeted in the console is also called a reference.

Prefix Required

Shortcode refers to a code having a shortform thatcan be used interchangeably with the Long form. ToggleFogOfWaris the long code form.

TFOWis the shortcode form.

Prefix Requiredrefers to a code needing a prefix to work as intended. SetHealth <#>willhave no effect.

Player.SetHealth <#>willsetyourmax health to <#>.

<left/right>

Forces the targetto equip <ItemID>,ifitis in theirinventory.Adding a '1'afterthe ID seems to make some items un removable,while '0' keeps them removable as normal.<left/right> willequip the weapon in the leftorrighthand.

setessential <BaseID> <#> Make NPC mortal(0)/immortal(1).

Disable This willmake the targetdisappear,good forcleaning up messes,corpses (see also:MarkForDelete).Note: Even though the items are hidden from view,they are stillbe loaded with the cell.

Enable Used to make disabled targets re-appear.Usefulforwhen you made a pointing mistake when disabling targets. unlock Unlock the desired chestordoor.Note: This may notwork in some cases.

kill Instantly kills target.

Resurrect <#> Return a dead NPC to life.Replace <#> with 1 to resurrestwith allcurrentitems intact.Leave off<#> to have the corpse removed & a new copy spawned.

setlevel <1>,<2>,<3>,<4>

Sets the levelofan NPC compared to the player.SetLevel 1000,0,1,81willmake targetlevelwith you from 1 to 81. 1:<% of PC's level * 10> The NPC's levelin comparison to player,based on % ofplayers level.(1000 = 100.0%)

2:<1 level +/-> How many levels this NPC willbe aboveor

Sets the scale ofan object.'1'is default.Ifno objectis selected,applies to PC.NOTE: When used on an actor,itincreases ordecreases speed and damage.Also note thatthe lowestpossible value to change the scale,is 0.1,and the highestpossible value to change the scale,

is 10.00,exactly on the dot.

moveto player Teleports the targeted NPC to you.(Works similarto player.placeatme <BaseID> <#>butdoes notcreate a new reference ofthe base object.)

player.setrelationshiprank <RefID> <#>

Used to setan NPCs disposition towards the player.<#> = 1-4 Note: Ifthis doesn'thelp when attempting to add Followerdialogue,try setrelationshiprank <RefID> <#>then player.setrelationshiprank <RefID> <#>.

openactorcontainer <#>

<#> = 1,2,3,or4.Depending on the actors faction ranking to the playerwilldepend on whatyou see in theirinventory.Use the correct ranking fortheircurrentstatus.)This allows you to add orretrieve items from thatactor.Some actors willnotequip armororweapons you

store on them.

GetPos <axis> Returns the position value ofgiven axis (x,y,z)ofthe target SetPos <axis> <#> Sets the position value ofgiven axis (x,y,z)ofthe target.

GetAngle <axis> Returns the value ofgiven rotationalaxis (x,y,z)ofthe target.

SetAngle <axis> <#> Sets the value ofgiven rotationalaxis (x,y,z)ofthe target(the change happens when the targeted objectis picked up). MarkForDelete Permanently deletes the selected item eitherinstantaneously orupon reload.This command is cleanerthan disable,as itremoves the

item completely instead ofjusthiding itfrom view.

setownership Allows you to make things ownerless.They won't become yours.When used on chests,applies to everything inside. Most"Targetcommands"can be used on the playerby self-targeting orprefixing with Player.in the console window.Some commands,such as Killand Disablewill crash the game when self-targeted,while others may produce unexpected results.

GetStage <QuestID> Used to getthe currentqueststage forquest(use ShowQuestTargetsforIDs). player.sqs <quest id> Used to display allthe stages ofa quest

SetObjectiveCompleted <QuestID> <stage> <1 to set, 0 to unset> Used to setthe queststage as being completed oruncompleted. SetStage <quest id> <stage value> Used to setthe queststage (Usefulforbugged quests).

SetPlayerRace <Raceid>

Doing this willallow you to change yourrace withoutusing showracemenu.Note: May bug aftercertain transformations (ex:Werewolf),and revert back to originalrace,orthe race you selected using showracemenu.

fov <#> Adjustfield ofview.The maximum value appears to be 160.Highernumbers allow a widerfield ofvision,butitcan be distorted.Lowernumbers show a "zoomed"view.60-90 is a usefulrange.

Bring up charactercustomization menu.Magicka,Stamina,and Health willbe spread evenly on using this depending on yourcharacter's level.Itwill remove any custom pointdistributions.Note: Using TGM command before entering the menu willretain youroriginallevels.Willonly modify your attributes/skills/points/etc.ifyou change the race,sex,orselecta presetfrom the list.Modifying cosmetic things like skin color/warpaint/hair/face
