Abstract

This article discusses in detail th e role o f elect ron ic textbooks in

improv ing th e educat ional process. It also sets out the principles and

requirements for creating an electronic textbook.

Key words: electronic textbook, training, study guide, presentat ion, hyperlin k,

computer, operating system, p rogramming language, graph ics, mult imedia

elements;

One o f the most important areas reflect ing the ach ievements of scient ific

and techno log ical p rog ress in the first p lace is the field of education. It is

education that is the facto r that ensu res the future of indiv idual countries and

of all mankind, is the driving force accelerating the development of society.

In recent years, in ou r repub lic great importance has been attached to the

educational process as an actual system.

It is known that textboo ks and teach ing aids, as well as other teaching

materials are impo rtant in improving the quality o f educat ion. Th e existing

trad itional textbooks that are based on print med ia are insufficient to ach ieve

the goals o f info rmatizat ion in connect ion w ith the int roduct ion of

resources and their int roduct ion into the education al process has become an

urgent problem of the info rmatization o f educat ion. In this regard, the creation

of electron ic educat ional literature and their applicat ion in th e educational

process is of great importance.

Requirements for enhancing the independence of students, the content of

education al material, as well as those provid ing fo r fu rther ind ividualization

of tasks o f a supervisory nature, the tendency fo r students to switch to an

information-communicative form o f independent education is determined by

changes in the dev elopment o f society , the activation of the p rocess of

informatization. The use of information techno logy in self-education , along

with p rinted literatu re, gives students the oppo rtun ity to wo rk with training

programs, test systems, databases and other electronic resources. Desp ite the

fact that all elect ron ic pub lications can be supportive in the organ ization of

independent student learning, the most effective of them are multimedia.

The effect iveness of the use o f info rmat ion technology in self-study of

students larg ely dep ends on the successful solution of tas ks of a

methodological n ature related to the content of the material and the way in

which automated learn ing systems are used. Therefore, in self-educat ion, it is

advisab le to use auto mated edu cat ional systems in the fo rm of

program-methodological complexes created accord ing to the content o f a particular

curricu lum. Such systems can in clude various boo ks, special programs

designed to replicate materials or systemat ize knowledge, programs for access

to remote informat ion resources, know ledge cont ro l, automated systems for

assessing competencies and skills, and much more.

A n elect ron ic textboo k is a sou rce that can collect , describe, update, store,

based on modern in formation technologies, p resent and cont rol knowledge in

categories, including all electron ic learning edit ions, from elect ron ic lecture

texts to electron ic textboo ks. Among them, the electron ic t extboo k o ccup ies a

special place as a teach ing tool, wh ich creates w ide oppo rtunit ies for the use

of train ing materials in the educat ional process. Experience shows that a

person can memorize informat ion obtained with the help o f the organs of

vision 5 t imes strong er than through the organs o f hearing. Unlike the

auditory o rgans, informat ion receiv ed fro m the o rgans o f v ision is not

re-encoded, but gets directly into the memory and stored for a long time.

A n electron ic textbook provides mo re opportunit ies for d emonstrating

education al mat erials than tradit ional textboo ks. The electron ic textboo k must

meet all the requ irements for th e educat ional process, along with the

imp lementat ion of didact ic functions des igned to en able students to work

independently . This means that when introducing electron ic textboo ks into the

education al p rocess, in add ition to their pedagog ical aspects, taking into

account their psychological and hygienic aspects will ensure the intellectual

abilities o f students and students, and their act ive participation in th is p rocess.

The o rgan ization o f the educational p rocess on the basis of electronic

textboo ks provides a nu mber of advant ages, such as quick updat ing of

education al materials based on the latest scientific ach ievements, and the

advantage of electronic textbooks over trad it ional textboo ks lies in add ition to

its “intellectual” power, and it is clearly noticeab le in the possib ility of timely

provision of information in the right place.

A n elect ron ic t extboo k should contain all relev ant educational materials

on a specific subject, and its intellectual level, in turn, has several adv antages

over a regu lar textbook. Fo r examp le, a qu ick search for informat ion, p rogress

Each elect ronic textboo k should be in a separate fo rm and meet cert ain

standard requ irements. An electron ic textboo k is educational literature based

on the use of a computer-based teaching method and the co mp rehensive and

effective develop ment of education al material on a sub ject that b elongs to one

of four levels.

Level 1: an electronic textboo k that provides educat ional material only in

verbal (text) form;

Level 2: an electronic textboo k, wh ich presents educat ional materials in

verbal (text) and graphic (graphic) form;

Level 3 : a mu lt imed ia tuto rial, i.e. a mult imedia electronic textboo k in wh ich

information is presented in three-dimensional graph ic form, aud io, video,

animation and partially in oral form (text);

Level 4 : A n electronic textbook that describes the material not only in sound

and three-dimensional spatial form, but also with th e help o f tact ical

information (feel, feel), which creates the student a representat ion of the

entrance to the real wo rld with th e image o f a stereo copy “on the screen” and

move relative to objects in him.

A ll catego ries of electron ic t extboo ks create g reat oppo rtunities for

increas ing the efficiency of the educat ional process and organizing

independent learning and distance learning for students.

The main pu rpose of using electronic textbooks is the fo rmation o f a new

informational, teach ing methodo logy, increasing the efficiency, quality and

product iv ity o f the learning p rocess through the use o f modern informational

and pedagog ical, info rmat ional and computer techno log ies, the w idespread

use of modern educat ional sources, elect ron ic textbooks in the cont inuing

education system, and organ izing them lib raries, the introduction o f distance

Birmingham training. To ach iev e the above pedagogical goals, an electronic

textboo k must meet certain didact ic, pedagog ical and psycholog ical

requirements.

The d idact ic requ irements include scientific know ledge, easy

achievement, p rob lem determinat ion and comprehensive kno wledge, the

active and informed part icipation o f students in the educat ional process, the

systematic and g radual int roduct ion o f knowledge, the provision of

knowledge, the acquisition of knowledge, the integrity of the dev eloping

responsib ilit ies o f pro fessional staff and educators in the education system,

systematic appro aches in p rov iding students with self-study, interactiv ity,

ensuring harmonious learning, presentation I have educational material.

Psychological requirements include requirements that reflect the

aesthetic, hygienic and medical-psycholog ical aspects o f the electronic

textboo k. Th is is due to the fact that the hu man body requ ires p ecu liar

properties of p ercept ion of in format ion in elect ron ic form. Not only its

content, but also factors such as size, appearance of letters, co lor and image

movement play an important role in the p ercept ion of information. Th erefore,

the text o f the electron ic textboo k should have its own charact eristics.

Functions of the electron ic textboo k, such as blin king, highlight ing,

underlining and sound, strongly affect students to quickly perceive

information. To solve these p rob lems, it is necessary to improve the quality of

the in format ion p rov ided and create a nu mber of opportunit ies in the

electron ic textbook that can be used to change many parameters. Fo r example,

mute, decrease, increase sound, change color, etc.

A chiev ing the effect iveness of an elect ron ic textboo k is based on taking

into account the psychological aspects of interacting w ith a comput er, wh ich

process of cogn it ion (cogn itiv e); must co rrespond to the lev el o f perspective

(feelings, perceptions) and the level o f expression. A lso, the psycholog ical

processes associated with cogn ition include the recept ion o f in fo rmation

(mainly v ision and hearing, feeling), attent ion (its stab ility, concent rat ion,

transit ion fro m one to another, distribut ion and level of attent ion ), th in king

(theoretical concept , applied-ind icat ive and p ract ical-movement ), imagination ,

memory (instantaneous, short-t erm and long -term, short-term, the

phenomenon of p lacing informat ion in short -term memory ), etc.; The

electron ic textbook includes basic requirements, such as user friendliness, a

creat ive approach to the study of science and the creation o f acceptable

working conditions for health.

A special place in the elect ron ic textbook should b e given to the

knowledge control mechanism. Th e know ledge contro l mechan ism p rov ides

contro l over all topics of the electronic textbook. To do this, all quest ions on

all topics in the electronic textbook dat abase should be presented to students

in a conven ient fo rm. The presence of the text search funct ion in the

electron ic textbook further expands the capab ilit ies of the electronic textbook.

One of th e addit ional requirements fo r th is function is the ability to enter a

sufficiently long text in its line.

The presence of a glossary of terms in an electron ic textboo k also

increases the level of its effect ive use. Therefo re, it is conven ient to give a

separate list of terms and their descriptions, and link them with hyperlinks.

There should be buttons for retu rning to the main text fro m the glossary. The

electron ic textbook cont ro l system has a nu mber of buttons that help you

work w ith the text and display it on the screen; they allow you to switch from

(7)

the tab le o f cont ents, help , consists of hyperlink buttons to display p ictu res on

the screen , animations and different tables, graphs.

Ensuring the interact ivity o f t rain ing should be carried out in a cert ain

order, taking into account the specific aspects of teaching subjects. The

electron ic textbook should provide the student with various options for

performing and monitoring repetitive training activities.

In activ it ies for the imp lement ation of electronic co mmunicat ion using

an electronic textbook, it main ly includes the formation and control of the

learning pro cess in the fo rm of pract ical exercises, verificat ion of the

correctness of the selected answers, mathemat ical calcu lations, verification of

the correctness of answers, cont rol over the input of graph ic data, cont rol over

the input of analytical expressions in unlimited form and etc.

Regardless of the level to wh ich the electronic textbook used in the

education al p rocess belongs, its creat ion should be based on specific

principles. The basic principles of creating an electronic textbook are:

develop ment o f holistic scientific and methodological foundations and

technical requirements for the creation of electronic textbooks;

ident ification o f p rio rity subjects for wh ich the creat ion of an electronic

textbook is necessary;

equipping educat ional institut ions with modern co mputer equ ipment,

their connection to the Internet;

the creat ion o f teams to create electron ic textbooks in educational

institutions;

to develop a copyright protection mechan ism for creators of electronic

the creat ion of material incent ive mechanisms fo r autho rs of electronic

textboo ks, professors, teachers, and specialist staff who int roduce electronic

textbooks into the educational process;

creat ion of the legal framewo rk for standardizat ion and cert ification of

electronic textbooks;

o rganizat ion of competitions for the creat ion and applicat ion o f the best

electron ic t extbooks, organ izat ion of scientific and practical seminars,

conferences and other events on pressing issues;

the creation of a library lib rary of electronic textboo ks in higher

education institutions and between universities;

use the experience of developed count ries in the creat ion of electronic

textbooks.

A mong electronic textbooks, the use of electronic textboo ks, especially

those created as a result of the use o f mu lt imed ia p ractical p rograms and

technolog ies, is current ly yielding excellent resu lts. Therefore, let's dwell on

mu lt imed ia app lications and techno log ies. When preparing and using

mu lt imed ia elect ronic textbooks and educat ional materials, you w ill need a

personal computer, microphone, speaker system (hardware), WINDOWS,

UNIX, LINU X (any of the system systems), FLA SH M X, DREA MWEA VER,

VISUA L STUD IO, VEGA S, IN TERNET EXPLO RER ( so ftware) HTM L,

XM L, PHP (programming languages) and much more.

FLASH MX techno logy is a mult imed ia technology , FLASH MX

technolog ies are an integral part of graphics, an imat ion, interactiv ity , sound

(tone), creat ion, use, p resentation of flash-images, creat ing Web pages and

other features. W ith its help, you can create multimed ia (mu lti-env ironment)

(9)

HTM L, XM L, PH P and other p rog ramming languages can be used to

create mu ltimed ia t rain ing materials. For examp le, the HTM L programming

languag e is used to create an electronic textboo k p rogram o r educational

material that users can read, view, and read. Tags and p rio rities are used in

creat ing prog rams. An electron ic textboo k may cons ist of several training

materials. Each of the t rain ing materials is stored in a separate document

* .ht ml. A ll t rain ing materials are combin ed into an index.ht ml file w ith one

view.

Using an imation in teach ing materials helps users qu ickly understand the

material. If the number o f animations is large, it is recommended to create a

folder and save them in it. since the sound (ton e) is not saved together with

the training mat erials in the form o f a file, b ecause after creat ing the

animation, the sound (tone) is added to the animation using software tools.

Each training material created can be stored by users on external storage

devices and used at a convenient time for them.

In con clusion, it shou ld be noted that electronic textbooks p rov ide a w ide

range of opportun ities for staff of teach ers and student students. The

organizat ion of the education al pro cess on the bas is of elect ronic textbooks

has several advantages, such as the rapid updat ing of educational materials

based on the latest ach ievements of science and the like. A s a result of the use

of electronic teaching aids in educat ion , the educational p rocess is

ind ividualized . Each student will have the opportun ity to master the material

accord ing to the plan, based on their ind ividual ab ilities. Th is may result in,

well-perfo rming students, far ahead o f students with low academic

performance.

A n elect ronic textbook can also be used to cont rol the level of

composit ion. For each sect ion, tests can be given. Test results are d etermined

using a co mputer. The results of the test can be used by the teacher for the

current or interim assessment. Co rrect ly written tests give an idea o f how well

the student has mastered the topics covered . It will be possible to repeat topics

that have not yet been mastered. Thus, both the teacher and th e student can

control the learning process.
