1. The program for establishing personnel reserve of a management team of SPbSPU

and attracting specialists with experience in leading Russian and foreign universities and

research organizations to superior positions (development of performance indicators for

management team, advanced training of the senior management reserve, school of leaders, apartments for the external executives attracted);

2. The program of attracting to SPbSPU young research and teaching personnel with work experience in the research and education sectors of the leading Russian and foreign

universities and research organizations (recruiting young research and teaching personnel,

positive image of SPbSPU);

TODAY SPbSPU includes:

SPbSPU modernization & restructuring

In 2012 the optimization of the SPbSPU structure started to improve the quality of education in the framework of integrated groups directions /

specialties

General objective of restructuring – creating structures

and units with high research and education potential,

amalgamation of departments with similar subjects, arising prestige of particular study areas, optimization of

management procedure, ranging units of the similar size.

In 2007 the modernization of SPbSPU started in Innovative educational program (InEP) of

SPbSPU (2007-2008), than in Development Program of SPbSPU for the period 2010-2019 as the National Research University (NRU) by establishing 2 innovative research institutes in SPbSPU

• Before restructuring 25 faculty – after 12 research and educational Institutes

• Before restructuring 150 departments – after 117 departments
