Our history:

• 1964 – School founded

• 1966 – First executive education and degree programmes offered

• 1968 – Sloan Fellowship for more senior managers launched

• 1970 – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II opened Regent’s Park campus

• 1974 – First PhD awarded

• 1983 – Part-time degree programmes added

• 1992 – Queen’s Award for Export received in recognition of educational services around the world

• 1993 – Masters in Finance programme launched • 2001 – EMBA-Global degree started

• 2007 – Dubai Centre opened to offer both Executive MBA and executive education programmes

• 2009 – EMBA-Global Asia and Masters in Management programmes launched.

• In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, the School achieved the highest average research score of any UK academic institution

Masters in Business Administration

• Our top-ranked MBA is distinguished by its flexibility – 15 to 21 months. No other top school offers such choice

• One of the largest international exchange programmes: 35% of second-year MBAs, spend a term abroad at one of 30-plus, world-class partner schools

Executive MBA

• Our world-class Executive MBA allows ambitious, committed mid-career managers to study and work at the same time

• In September 2007, we launched the Dubai-London Executive MBA, attracting a global mix of 78 students in the inaugural class. We added a second stream to this popular programme in January 2009

EMBA-Global

• The EMBA-Global Americas and Europe programme, which started in 2001, is a unique partnership with Columbia Business School, where students graduate with a degree from both schools

• Our new EMBA Global-Asia started in May 2009, and allows students to graduate with a joint degree from London Business School, Columbia Business School and Hong Kong University

Masters in Finance

• The first Masters in Finance programme in the world, and the only one at a top global business school

• Flexible: students can complete the programme in one year or part-time over two years

Sloan Fellowship MSc

• The premier masters degree programme designed purely for experienced senior managers

• One of only three Sloan programmes in the world together with MIT and Stanford

• Our new Masters in Management programme launched in September 2009, and allows recent graduates with less than one year's work experience to build a strong foundation for a career in business PhD
