2. ENROLMENT
Once you arrive in Trento, you will make the enrolment by filling in the form you will get from the Double Degree Programmes and International Agreements office at the Welcome Day.
The form has then to be handed in to the Admission Office of your Faculty, together with:
- Receipt testifying the payment of tassa per il diritto allo studio (TDS) and revenue stamp4
- #1 photo (passport format)
- #1 photocopy of your ID document or passport
- Official copy of the academic transcripts (Home University)5
Just after enrolment, you will be provided with both the username and the Esse3 password (strictly personal data!) in order to:
-access the Esse3 personal web page (you might visualize and change personal data, print official certificates, sign in for examination sessions…)
-access the personal unitn - web mail box.
The Welcome Office will provide you with a short guide describing the Esse3 system.
The Admission Office of your faculty also provides each student with the exams’ mark book. Each Admission Office follows its own procedure and schedule. Passed exams will be recorded on the exams’ mark book. Professors will write the name of the exam, the date when the exam is done and her/his signature.
NOTE:
- If your classes start in the second semester, you can enrol within March 31st.
- If you are going to stay in Trento for three or more semesters according to the agreements ruling your programme, you must also pay the tassa per il diritto allo studio (TDS) also for the second academic year. Also in this case, the payment deadline must be respected. The latter is yearly defined by Divisione Gestione Studenti. If you plan not to be in Trento by the time enrolments commence, you can send the properly completed application form via mail, attaching the payment receipt.
The TDS has to be paid for each a.y. during which you are doing didactical activities (the last session to give exams avoiding the payment of this fee is September). At the end of your stay in Trento, you can decide to graduate in the ongoing academic year (i.e. at the latest by March of the a.y. following your last exams session), you should present the form “domanda di attesa di laurea”, in order to avoid the re-payment of the TDS to renew the enrolment and you can give exams till December 28th.
Should you miss the deadline for the payment of enrolment or its renewal, you will have to pay a penalty fee.
4
The revenue stamp can be bought at any newsagent’s and costs € 14.62. The stamp shall be stuck on the application form. Students enrolling in the academic year 2010/2011 can alternatively pay € 142.62 (the
amount includes both tassa per il diritto allo studio of € 128.00 and the revenue stamp of €14.62) at your
bank branch or at the counter of the Admission Office of your faculty, but only with credit or Debit card.
5 ATTENTION: If students cannot present the official transcripts at the time of their enrolment, they must provide
the official record within 30 days from their arrival in Trento. The documents are necessary in order to insert students in the Esse3 database, that is the career management system.
3. STAY PERMIT - RESIDENCE CARD
EU students who stay in Trento for more than 90 consecutive days must register at the Municipality of Trento.
Non-EU students must apply for their stay permit.
Both student categories will be supported by the Welcome Office. For further details please click on the following link:
