Dispatch & Delivery

We Understand

We Understand

(3)

Anyone in the building materials industry knows that when it comes to dispatch and delivery, the process isn’t always pretty. With desks buried beneath mountains of paper, customers and salespeople calling about every two seconds, and drivers that like to go M.I.A. at the most inconvenient times, a dispatch

operation becomes rather chaotic.

At Enterprise Computer Systems, Inc., we understand. You want to improve customer service and increase profit margins; your customers want to get the right materials quickly; and your dispatcher just wants to get the job done with as few hassles as possible.

Because we understand, we offer a truly revolutionary software tool that helps you bring order to the chaotic dispatch process — increasing efficiency in order to enhance profits, satisfy customers, and simplify your job.

Dispatch & Deliver

(4)

Enterprise’s Dispatch & Delivery is as simple to run as a spreadsheet, but has the power to put your world in order. On your PC, the program’s main window always displays two columns — one for the order number and one for the order’s most current status. Other columns can include, but are not limited to: customer name, customer number, job description, job type, delivery zone, scheduled ship date and time, and puller’s name. This information is constantly updated from your integrated Enterprise or non-Enterprise point-of-sale (POS) system, providing critical information to those who need it, when they need it. This streamlines the dispatch and delivery process, and facilitates productivity.

Reduce costly errors by automatically sending all new orders, or last minute change orders, directly from your POS system to the dispatcher. Dispatch & Delivery updates order information immediately, including details from POS such as weight, cost, customer purchase order number, items’ bar code ID, city, requested date, etc.

Keep trucks running at capacity. As orders are added to trucks, Dispatch & Delivery tallies the total combined weight of the orders and flags the user if the truck is over capacity. If there’s room for another order on the truck, Dispatch & Delivery uses load drop sequencing for multiple orders.

Find the way quickly with valuable new integrated mapping capabilities from Microsoft's MapPoint®.

Make information more accessible company-wide. While only the dispatcher can assign an order to a specific delivery time or truck, anyone on the network can check the status of any order at any time. Eliminate the hassle of a manual system, i.e. greaseboard, pegboard, clipboard, etc., which must be continuously updated to remain accurate.

Manage the big picture. Dispatch & Delivery maintains an ODBC-compliant database on assets used in the dispatch and delivery process (pullers, trucks and truck types, drivers, etc.), which makes reporting simple. Choose one of the many standard reports, or create your own based on your specific needs. Calculate numbers of full loads, fill-ins, pickups, rushes, haul backs, etc., to provide a global view of profitability by customer, job, salesman, truck, etc.

Dispatch & Deliver

We understand your world, a world where time is money.

Split up orders when it’s more efficient.

Split one order into many orders to assign to different trucks, load builders, and drivers. Or, split the quantity of a line item to be placed on different trucks. And, print a load ticket for yard use after an order has been split.

Enterprise’s Dispatch & Delivery is a dispatcher-designed program that eases the burdens placed on dispatchers during

their day-to-day operations. It does not replace the dispatcher; it assists him in efficiently scheduling and assigning resources.

Free the dispatcher to focus on asset assignment by automating manual tasks and minimizing interruptions. With delivery information available to others via the network, sales representatives and customers make fewer calls to the dispatcher for answers.

Eliminate the need to constantly update the greaseboard or manually enter orders. Update statuses by scanning the bar codes on the orders. Each scan of the order’s bar code changes the order’s status in the Dispatch & Delivery software to the next sequential status set up in the Dispatch & Delivery database. This automated process allows the dispatcher to focus on assigning orders and trucks. No typing skills required!

Creates an availability grid — an easy-to-interpret graphical representation of truck and driver availability.

An exciting new GPS interface solution is available for those who wish to use satellite technology to keep track of trucks. This functionality includes locating one truck or an entire fleet, sending orders in their drop sequence to trucks, updating Dispatch & Delivery via GPS when an order is delivered, and messaging between trucks. It also allows for tracking and storing truck mileage in the Dispatch & Delivery database for automatic messaging with a

new mini-maintenance feature.

Dispatch & Delivery improves customer service by:

• Providing answers to shipment inquiries quickly and easily

• Facilitating on-time delivery (a quality judged by homebuilders to be the most

important customer service trait)

• Reducing opportunities for human error, thereby increasing the likelihood of

getting the order right (a trait also critical to homebuilders)
