Online Content Manager/Webmaster  Entercom Kansas City, a leading radio cluster which includes KMBZ, KUDL, KXTR, KCSP, KBLV, WDAF, KRBZ and KQRC seeks a  top‐notch online content producer to direct the content strategy of our market‐leading station websites in conjunction with  our stations’ on‐air programmers; oversee the creation of the content; maintain and update the stations’ websites and  insure flawless online execution.    The ideal candidate has tangible experience producing online content, including a ‘get it done’/production mindset, strong  writing skills, solid design background (if not formal training), a familiarity with prevailing multimedia technologies, some  audio and video editing experience and digital asset procurement and optimization experience. Light html skills are a plus,  but no heavy coding experience is necessary. The site will be updated using an existing Content Management System on  which the candidate will receive detailed training. S/he should also be able to conduct exploratory business development  conversations with potential content partners.     As the point person for new and ongoing content development and a creative partner with the station’s brand owners  (PDs), you will be expected to pro‐actively identify content needs and opportunities; create written site specs and  justification documents; give clear, concise and actionable direction to creative/graphics/technical personnel; and create  and enforce station‐wide guidelines for quality, best practices, and updating of content. You will also be the point person  for collecting content from, and training, station staff (including on‐air talent) in the updating of content via the CMS and  any other industry‐standard tools (such as WordPress blogs or Brightcove video tools).     Written precision (supported by examples of your consumer‐facing and internal work) is a must, as is an innate  understanding of how to create and evolve community online.   To be considered for this position, please apply online at www.entercom.com and click on “Careers”.

GENERAL SALES MANAGER  The General Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for KQRC 98.9 The Rock and  KRBZ 96.5 The Buzz. Directs and provides leadership for Sales team towards the achievement of goals and objectives that are in  line with company vision and values. Guides the sales team in establishing plans and strategies to expand and strengthen the  advertiser base with traditional and new media opportunities.  Responsible for fostering the advancement and growth of the new  business development culture.     Primary Responsibilities:   Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the group in conjunction with the VP/MM that ensures attainment of  sales goals for all sales assets.    Responsible for meeting standards and maintaining pricing and inventory management    Works with Business Development Manager in the creation and execution of target to key account growth opportunities  and instills a proactive new business development culture    Recruits and hires sales team based on criteria agreed upon by the Market Manager   Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales Team to build motivation and management skills    Responsible for setting performance standards for sales team with accountability measures that are set annually and  examined monthly   Establishes sales goals and action plans for your sales team and requires annual account strategies that are examined  quarterly    Requires ongoing feedback and accountability measures through one‐on‐one meetings with Account Executives to ensure  accurate forecasting information.   Provides timely feedback to Market Manager regarding sales performance     Qualifications:   5 years’ experience in media sales management    Knowledgeable in all forms of media and integration – traditional, digital, mobile, database   Excels at sales recruitment, coaching, building a sales culture and talent development   Welcomes accountability and sweats the details   Proficient with CRM sales system   Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills   Excellent leadership qualities and sales management skills   Experience in delegating authority and responsibility with accountability and follow‐up.    Ability to interact with clients/advertisers to ensure highest levels of client satisfaction   Ability to work in fast‐paced, deadline‐oriented environment   Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work collaboratively across an organization to achieve results   Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and  implemented within the team.    Sets examples for Sales Team in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational & selling skills, & work habits.   Bachelor’s Degree required

Digital Marketing Campaign Coordinator 

The Digital Marketing Campaign Coordinator (DMCC) is responsible for supervising the digital and web team, campaign  development, digital presentations, end‐to‐end digital campaign execution. The DMCC acts as the conduit between sales,  the digital team, programming and promotions in managing a smooth process and system of client campaign deliverables.    Responsibilities include:   Manage day‐to‐day operations, oversee ‘back office’ functions of digital department, including but not limited to ad  trafficking/operations, inventory management, and project management   Establish digital execution best practices   Generate Campaign reports and recaps   Manage and traffic On‐Line Streaming and Banner orders and oversee inventory   Email marketing specialist to oversee end‐to‐end process of email campaigns   Maintain internal asset website as directed for AE use –including digital work order facilitation   Oversee ongoing technical support of all websites   Facilitate information flow and communication between Digital department employees as well as non‐digital station  employees   Primary point of contact for market/station leadership to interface with the Digital department and expedite resolution   Ensure timely and accurate compliance with corporate request, reporting requirements, etc.   Assist Account Executives during client meetings to discussion digital execution ideas, timelines and perimeters   Educate, train, and coach sales team on new media and new digital assets   Engage GSMs and AEs daily to serve as digital resource for developing ideas and strategies, providing education &  guidance, and participating in client presentations    Track Monthly Digital Revenue and non‐returning business to maximize digital profits   Communicate daily time‐line updates on all pending projects to DSSM   Assist DSSM in creating and presenting marketing campaigns to clients    Qualifications:   A minimum of three years in online media sales/marketing required   Strong presentation & negotiation skills, with the ability to build coalitions & mediate   Deep familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and strong spoken/written English language skills   Conversant in online advertising, search marketing and mobile marketing terms and industry best practices   Familiarity with prevailing Internet technologies such as html, streaming media, ad tagging, disruptive web technologies   Knowledge of Flash, podcasting/blogging, RSS, etc. (no coding experience required)   Ability to parse and exploit online analytics / technology and communicate them to individuals with widely varying  degrees of technical sophistication   A core set of brand/agency contacts in the interactive advertising world is a plus   Bachelor’s degree a plus

PROMOTIONS ASSISTANT: Part-Time KCSP-KMBZ

610 Sports Radio and 98.1 KMBZ FM are looking for a part-time promotions assistant. This position is 20-25 hours per week and is an excellent opportunity for recent college grads, or current college students who have

completed a previous radio internship, and have a keen interest in news and sports, but from the radio marketing and promotions perspective. This is not an on-air or in-studio support position. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating on-air prizes, contest giveaways and sponsorships;

• Maintaining contest files and account balance for on-air contesting;

• Coordinating street marketing activities including but not limited to driving station van to events, setting up station tent, hanging banners, and coordinating interactive activities with listeners;

• Assisting in maintaining and updating station website; • Keeping contest files and prizes organized;

• Assisting in planning and implementing station events; • Assisting in the development of sales promotions and events; • Serving as liaison between the listener and the radio station The successful candidate should possess:

• Strong computer and Web skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop. Familiarity with remote broadcast equipment a plus.

• Strong communication skills. Ability to interact with people in a positive way in both written and spoken word. • Ability to work evenings, weekends and/or early mornings as needed.

• Keen organizational and time management skills.

• College degree in communications, marketing or media relations preferred. Current college students who have completed a previous radio internship may be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to get real world experience promoting a variety of radio stations which include: KRBZ 96.5 The Buzz, KQRC 98.9 The Rock, News Radio 980 KMBZ, 610 Sports Radio KCSP, WDAF 106.5 WOLF, and KZPT 99.7. Internship positions are also available in sales and marketing, production, web design and more. The internship is open to all majors, but is especially beneficial to those majoring in journalism, communications, business, marketing, advertising, and public relations. Students must receive college credit for the internship and be at least a sophomore.

PROMOTIONS / SALES & MARKETING INTERNS

Interns' duties include but are not limited to: representing the station at events such as concerts, remotes, and

non-traditional events, conducting listener research, contacting winners of contests, providing recaps to clients of events, putting together media kits, and writing on-air copy.

DIGITAL WEB DESIGN INTERN:

Assist in graphic design, web design and uploading content to station websites. Will work in conjunction with lead designers and developers to design and create digital sales and promotional assets. Experience shooting video and editing, familiarity with mobile applications, websites and streaming products, social media, email marketing and database activity, Self-driven, motivated and disciplined with the ability to work in a fast paced, fun environment but able to meet deadlines. Must be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and proficient on both a mac/pc. Specifically, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Sound booth or Audition and Adobe Flash. Knowledge of Content Management Systems like Word Press, Drupal, Vortal) – The more of them you know, the better.

PRODUCTION INTERNS

The Entercom Kansas City Creative Services Department is looking for possible interns who want to get real-world experience in commercial production. The intern will need to have an email address that accepts large attachments, be detail oriented, extremely dependable, and helpful if they have acted/done voice-over before. The Creative Services intern will be primarily dubbing commercials, but also will voice commercials, edit audio, write scripts, and be expected to leave at the end of the semester with an audio demo worthy of professional radio commercial production.
