This system can also offer investors some income in situations where a Net metering or feed-in Tariff policy is in place.
Suitable for small to medium load (up to 1000W Solar PV capacity)
The technology involves use of solar panels to convert solar energy to electricity, storage of generated energy in batteries via the charge controller, and the conversion of battery direct current energy to alternating current power by the inverter. The charge controller protects the batteries from over charge and over discharge.
System of the solar PV system is determined by the number of appliances to be used and the operating hours in a day.
A mini grid, also known as a “micro grid or isolated grid”, can be defined as a set of electricity generators and/with energy storage systems interconnected to a distribution network that supplies electricity to a localized group of customers or to a commercially based customer
Solar water pumping systems are suitable to meet demands such as absence of grid power supply for water pumping needs, reduction of high electricity bills for water pumping, and the need to cost effectively drive key economic activities such as irrigation and water supply for domestic, township and livestock uses.
The technology utilizes solar power to run submersible DC pumps designed for different pump heads (depths) to deliver required water outputs.
