Najat El Mekkaoui de Freitas Associate Professor of economics

University Paris-Dauphine, LEDa (Laboratoire d’Economie de Dauphine ) and Associate Researcher, Oxford University.

Najat El Mekkaoui is associate professor in economics at the University Paris Dauphine. She is Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Oxford University. Her researches are about Ageing, Pension systems, household savings. She coordinates projects about Saving and Development in Morocco (CDG Morocco and CDC France, university of Rabat), Saving and Ageing in Portugal (ISEG, University of Lisbon, Portugal), Pension informations systems, Employment and Pension reforms in France (Ministry of Social Affairs, Employment studies center - CEE, France).

She participates with the World Bank (Social Protection Department, USA) at the project about pension systems in Morocco and in MENA Region. In 2011, She was nominated at the National Council of Human Rights in Morocco.
