FOR BASIC STUDIES - BACHELOR

General Provisions

Article 1

This regulation defines the criteria for organizing and conducting basic studies at Universe College, for the types of study, the conditions of registration of the year, the duration of studies, the change of program, the diploma thesis, defense procedures and other important issues for studies. Basic at Universe College.

ORGANIZATION OF STUDIES

Article 2.

Basic studies are organized and carried out in accordance with the law on Higher Education and the rules of studies based on the European credit transfer system (ECTS)..

Article 3.

1. Basic studies are organized according to the curriculum for the programs: • Physical Culture Sport and Recreation,

• General Nursing

• As well as other programs to be added in the future 2. Study programs are divided into years of study and semesters.

3. According to ECTS the volume of study program contains 60 credits in one year of study, respectively 30 ECTS credits in one semester.

4. The number of credits for a course is determined by the number of theoretical and / or practical classes, exercises, seminars and the like, the student work time in independent assignments (homework, projects, seminars and the like) and the time for lesson preparation for knowledge verification and assessment (tests, final exam, etc.).

5. The relevant departments / departments determine the ratio between the hour and the number of hours required for freelance work, which is assessed an ECTS point / credit.

6. Students are informed in time through the website with: the schedule of lessons and exams, which will be announced at the beginning of the academic year in accordance with the Statute

7. The schedule of classes and exams cannot be changed without the prior approval of the Vice Dean for Teaching.

Article 4.

1. Teachers are obliged at the beginning of the new academic year to inform students about the syllabi of the subjects and to provide them with at least two appointments lasting one hour for consultations.

2. Consultation appointments must be announced at the door of the teacher's office.

Conditions for enrollment in studies

Article 5.

1. All those who have completed high school and have completed the Matura exam have the right to enroll in Bachelor Studies.

2. The number of new students for the study program, the admission criteria respectively the registration, the dynamics of the process, the entrance exam, the announcement of the preliminary result, the complaints and the announcement of the final result are determined in detail by the public competition announced by Senate.

Article 6.

1. In order for the admission process of new students to proceed smoothly, the Scientific Teaching Council may appoint several commissions. In this case, no member can be appointed to two committees at the same time.

2. The most detailed responsibilities and obligations of the commissions are determined by the Scientific Teaching Council of the respective department.

Article 7.

1. The selection, respectively the compilation of the preliminary list is done based on the competition. 2. Dissatisfied candidates have the right to file a complaint after the publication of the preliminary lists. 3. After reviewing the complaints by the complaints commission, the central commission compiles the final list and thus concludes the process of selecting candidates for the deadline.

4. The preliminary list and the final list are made public on the bulletin board, and are sent to the candidates by email.

Semester and year registration

Article 8.

1. The student is obliged to register at the beginning of each academic year, to repeat the relevant year or to declare that he / she will interrupt his / her studies for a certain period of time.

2. The student starts the new academic year by enrolling in the winter semester.

3. The semester registration deadline is set by the Senate for all College programs. Certification and registration of the semester lasts 2 weeks

College Universi – Regulation for basic studies – Bachelor Page 4 4. Registration or repetition of the year is done at the student service, submitting the payment of the installment according to the tuition fee specified in the contract.

5. The student who does not register or repeats the year loses the status of student, if he has not made a request for termination of studies for a certain period of time.

Article 9.

1. Students who have earned at least 36 ECTS points in the first year can enroll the following year. 2. The third year can be registered only by students who have passed all the first year exams and 36% of the second year exams, respectively have achieved at least 96 ECTS points.

3. The fourth year can be registered only by students who have passed all the first and second year exams as well as 36% of the third year exams, respectively have achieved at least 156 ECTS points.

4. Whenever the student re-registers the same subject, he / she must pay the relevant compensation, as provided in the regulation for the teaching process.

Organization of the lesson

Article 10.

1. The year of study is organized in two semesters: winter and summer;

2. The winter semester starts in the first week of October and lasts 15 weeks. Supplementary instruction and re-tests last up to 4 weeks. Classes in the summer semester begin in the third week of February and last 15 weeks.

3. Health and sport internships are organized throughout the academic year.

4. Summer break, extracurricular activities (summer university and similar) are organized up to 4 weeks. 5. The annual calendar of the study program organization is approved by the College Senate at least 60 days before the start of classes.

Article 11.

1. The lesson is organized according to the approved class hours and the College is obliged to publish it at least 10 days before the lesson begins.

2. The lesson schedule includes: name of study program, year of study, subject name, time (day, hour), place of residence (halls, laboratories) professors and other instruction for teaching.

3. The subject professor is required to submit the work plan (Syllabus) to the vice-dean for teaching matters at least 15 days prior to the start of the lecture, courses to students at the latest in the first week of teaching lectures.

4. The professor of the subject is obliged in the first week of the lesson to inform the students of the subject plan and give it to them in written form.

College Universi – Regulation for basic studies – Bachelor Page 5 1. Changing the schedule and work plan during the lesson according to the rule, is not allowed. If there is a need for change (due to the teacher's illness or similar) the vice dean for teaching determines the change.

2. The subject teacher is responsible for all forms of teaching, exercises and practical work.

3. Some forms of learning can be organized in the form of "distance learning" (virtual learning), but exams must be held at the headquarters of the country that organizes this form of learning.

Course selection and evidence

Article 13

1. The student is introduced to the subjects that he will take in the following year of studies three weeks before the beginning of the lesson in the winter semester, and for the first year of studies after enrollment. 2. The selection of elective courses is done at the beginning of the semester by making the selection offered by the College for the semester assigned according to the curriculum, in this case he selects one course from at least two courses offered.

3. After the expiration of the deadline for the selection of elective courses, the student registers are formed according to the courses where the envisaged quotas for organizing the course for the next year of studies have been reached and placed on the College web and in the student program for each subjects and for each program.

4. The courses presented by the student cannot be changed after their verification.

Repeated course submission

Article 14

1. If the student does not pass the exam, three times from the same subject, the next time the exam must be taken before the commission, if this time he does not pass the exam he must repeat the year for the respective subject or lose the status of student.

2. In the case of an elective course, they re-register the same course or choose another course to achieve the required number of credits.

Evaluating and determining academic success

Article 15

1. the determination of academic success and evaluation shall be made in accordance with Article 72 of the Statute

Article 16.

1. Assessment of knowledge is organized within the terms to validate the results achieved by the students in the specific subjects for which the knowledge assessment is foreseen.

College Universi – Regulation for basic studies – Bachelor Page 6 2. Assignments for individual student work (seminars, projects, etc.) should be linearly distributed throughout the semester.

3. The total volume of these assignments must be in line with the required workload in accordance with ECTS.

4. The teacher is obliged to assist students in organizing consultation hours while teaching, working on independent assignments and preparing for knowledge validation.

5. The consultation deadlines must match the lesson in order to be available to students.

Article 17.

Students' success in the exam and other knowledge verifications is evaluated by the ECTS-comparable system as follows:

10 (A) – (extraordinary success with insignificant errors), holds 91-100 points earned, 9 (B) – (above average, with some error), carries 81-90 points earned,

8 (C) – (average with obvious errors), holds 71-80 points earned,

7 (D) – (generally good, but with significant deficiencies), carries 61-70 points earned, 6 (E) – (meets the minimum criteria), carries 51-60 points earned,

5 (F, FX) – (much more work is needed), below 51 points.

Neni 18.

1. Student work is constantly monitored and evaluated during one semester. Assessment is done by giving points for each form of activity and verification of knowledge during the semester and in the final exam in which the final grade is confirmed.

2. In the structure of the total number of points 20-70% of the points should be foreseen for activities and verification of knowledge during the semester.

3. The final exam in the scoring structure can be scored as high as 30% -80 points.

Article 19.

1. Forms of knowledge attestation are written, oral, combined written and oral, or through laborator / clinic practice and practical room exercises.

2. Exams and all other forms of assessment are public.

Article 20.

1. In case the student is not satisfied with the result of the exam, he / she submits a complaint under Article 78 of the Statute. The time, manner of filing and handling the complaint are precisely explained in Article 78 of the Statute.

2. Between the regular (first) and the repetitive term, teachers and associates through consultations and, if necessary, with supplementary instruction, can help students prepare for the repeated exam.

The student who has passed the exam, but is not satisfied with the grade, has the right to submit a written complaint to the KMSH or online in the student program, within 48 hours, for passing the exam before the commission. The request to repeat the exam must be reasonable.

2. The chairman and the two members of the commission are appointed by the Dean, but one member of the commission must be from another subject, while the questioner with the grade of which the student was not satisfied cannot be the chairman of the Commission.

3. The Dean sets the time for passing the exam within 3 days after the submission of the request by the student.

4. The written exam, or the written part of the exam will not be repeated, but the same test will be re-evaluated by the Commission. The committee will evaluate all the work done by the student during the lesson and exercises.

5. The commission can give the grade based on the written exam and works during the lesson or exercises or take the oral exam.

6. The commission gives the decision by majority vote.

7. The student cannot request an exam before the commission in at most two subjects during a semester.

Mobility, continuing studies, changing direction and recognizing exams

Article 22

Student mobility and change of study program is defined by the Statute, articles, 99-101

Article 23

The request for change of program, continuation of studies and recognition of exams must be made before the beginning of the academic year. Students will be notified in a timely manner on the website and in the SIS about the documentation that must be attached to the application and the dynamics of the procedure - the time of submission, the manner of submission and the deadline for closing the application.

Article 24

1. If the student fails to complete the studies with the study program in which he is enrolled (according to the deadline defined in the Statute), he can continue the studies automatically in the same newly accredited program

2. In case the program has undergone any changes during re-accreditation, then it should be subject only to those examinations which were not part of the previous program

Article 25

The Rector issues a decision regarding the request of students for change of program, continuation of studies and recognition of exams after receiving the proposal from the study commission of the relevant department and approval of that proposal by the Dean of the relevant department.

Article 26

1 In case the student after finishing the studies in a study program, applies and enrolls in the new study program, then according to article 107 point 2 of the Statute can not be considered a program change.

College Universi – Regulation for basic studies – Bachelor Page 8 2. The student in this case is obliged to attend lectures and enter the same exams as other students.

3. The request for admission to the exams from the old program to the new one is made after each registered semester.

4. The decision for recognition of the grade is made based on article 14, in this case by consulting the subject teacher by the studies commission of the respective department.

Duration of studies

Article 27

1. Basic studies last at least three years of study, respectively at least 180 ECTS credits, and at most four years of studies, respectively 240 ECTS credits.

2. Studies must be completed within double of the study period

3. Basic studies end with the work and defense of the diploma in accordance with the study programs 4. The diploma thesis is related to related disciplines and can be individual or collective (two-three students). In the case of collective works, students have divided the issues they will address, respecting an approximately equal division of the volume of work they will perform, distinguished by a special color

Bachelor thesis procedure

Article 28

1. The student has the right to select the mentor and the topic after the end of the lectures of the last semester of studies, if there are not more than 2 unfinished exams.

2. The presentation of the topic is done through the completed request and signed by the mentor, submitted to the administration for protocol, and then the administration sends it to the dean of the respective program, who submits it to the Senate for approval. After formal approval in the senate begins the period of work and measurements

3. After the mentor approves the final version of the student's work, he / she sends it to the Dean of the respective program, in electronic form for approval, who appoints the evaluation committee.

4. The evaluation commission within 7 days sends the notification to the Secretary, through the relevant dean, to continue the procedure in the Senate if the evaluation is positive, otherwise it notifies the mentor about the changes that need to be made. The secretary through the administration notifies the Mentor and the Student.

5. After the formal approval of the topic in the senate, the Dean appoints the committee for defense. 6. The administration contacts the student to fill in all possible gaps, to link the diploma thesis in 4 copies, of which at least the copy for the college should be in color.

7. If the administration finds that there are technical deficiencies in the copies, it returns the copies to the student, while the mentor is notified of the omissions made by the student.

College Universi – Regulation for basic studies – Bachelor Page 9 1. The date of the defense is set after 5 working days, from the day when the student assigned to the defense commission has fulfilled all the obligations and has submitted the bound copies.

2. The defense of the paper can not be done if the student mentor is missing, or it is found that the paper is plagiarism.

3. During the defense, the student presents his work in a duration of 15-20 min. The paper must be presented in PowerPoint

4. The commission evaluates the work with a passing grade of 6-10, while the unsuccessful presentation is evaluated with a grade of 5

5. The student who has passed all the exams provided for the registration of the study program and has fulfilled all other obligations based on the Statute of the College gains the diploma of the first degree of studies for the respective study program.

6. With the diploma of basic studies is given the supplementary document for studies (diploma supplement) in order to present in more detail the level, nature, content, system and rules of the study and the results achieved during the studies.

7. The student receives the diploma certificate two days after the defense, while the Diploma after 10 days.

Disciplinary responsibility

Article 30

l. Procedures for taking students into disciplinary responsibilities are defined by special regulations. 2. Students accused of violations have the right to be heard by the Disciplinary Commission which proposes to the Scientific Teaching Council of the Department the disciplinary measure according to the offense committed.

3. The relevant scientific teaching council may temporarily or permanently exclude from the program students who seriously violate the rules.

4. Students have the right to appeal to the disciplinary commission at the Rectorate against the disciplinary measure

Transitional and final provisions

Article 31

1. This regulation is approved by the Senate of Universe College

2. For all matters which are not included in this regulation, the provisions of the Statute of the

College as well as the Law on Higher Education of Kosovo shall apply.

3. This Regulation enters into force on September 15, 2020 from the day of approval by the

Senate.

4. Amendments and supplements to this Regulation are made in the same way as it was approved
