PROJECT ELEVET FINAL CONFERENCE

Final Conference of the EU project

“Electrical engineers vocational education transparency - ELEVET”

which was im plem ented under the Lifelong Learning Program m e,

was held on 19th May 2014, in Warsaw.

Conference was organized by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers/SEP/ - Project ELEVET coordinator .

The aim of the Conference was to dissem inate the project results and to present its results to stakeholders – policy-m akers, VET professionals, representatives of the education and training authorities, engineers’ associations and the m edia.

The m ain guests of the conference were representatives of the project partners : Ana Poida and Fanica Vatra - SIER / Rom ania , Selina Martin Cano - CECE / Spain , Fabrizia Ceccarelli and Vincenzo Mirra - CO NSEL ELIS - Italy , Valentina Chanina - EFVET / Belgium , Janusz Nowak and Janusz Nowastowski - PIG E / Poland.

SEP was represented by Prof . Jerzy Barglik - President of SEP , Andrzej Boron - Secretary G eneral of SEP / Project Manager , Anna Dzieciol - Project Secretary and Henryk Gladys –Project Expert.

In addition, the conference was attended by m any stakeholders - the people involved in or interested in training of electricians, specialists in vocational education and training, representatives of the authorities and the m edia.

In the final part of the conference the representatives of the Partners ELEVET officially signed Memorandum of Understanding. This agreem ent is intended to secure the adoption process and the recognition of a new fram ework for vocational education and credit transfer obtained during the perform ance of students and the establishm ent of international m obility program s .

Im plem entation of the Project ELEVET will end on 30 June 2014, however, SEP would like to continue working in the field of standardization of trainings and issuing professional certificates for electricians in the EU, and would like to im plem ent in real life, the assum ptions developed under the Project ELEVET.

Mr. Andrzej Boroń – Project ELEVET Manager inform ed the audience that SEP subm itted an application with a new project ELEVET 2 to EACEA in Brussels, on 2nd April 2014 , under program m e ERASMU S+, Sector Skills Alliances.

Duration of the Project: 3 years The idea of the new project includes:

1) O rganization of trainings ending with the certificate giving a title of the vocational electrical engineer, in Poland and in the countries of our partners

2) Creation of a national com m issions that will entitled to issue such certificate

3) Creation of a com m ission certifying training centers in the partner countries, entitled to award for the successful com pletion of training, ECVET points.
