Web and digital

resources

Digital Books

Free Digital Books containing all the material in the printed Pupil’s Book are available for most titles. Using your Interactive Whiteboard you can touch the page to play the audio, zoom in on individual activities, personalise with your own notes, images and links… the possibilities are endless.

Online digital courses

Selected titles are available as web-based courses (LIR) consisting of the Digital Book plus a Learning Management System. This gives teachers the flexibility to set coursework and for students to save their answers online. New developments will also allow teachers to adjust units/activities and incorporate their own materials to suit their students’ needs.

Technological developments have played an important part in

English Language Teaching. Recent advances have taken online

and digital resources to a whole new level.

Embracing technology across all areas of publishing and professional services, we can help you to introduce the latest developments into your teaching and learning.

Resources for interactive

whiteboards

All UDP titles come with at least one digital component, delivered via CD-Rom, DVD or online, that can be used on Interactive Whiteboards in class or on PCs / Macs in learning centres and at home.

(9)

e-books

With the development of the iPad and other portable tablets, e-books are becoming an increasingly popular medium in English language learning. The format also offers new ways for readers to engage and interact with the text. See Digi Pals Readers (page 15).

Virtual learning environments

A new level of online interaction is available with

Little Bridge (see page 14). Teachers can set homework, leave messages and monitor progress. Students can play language games, explore a 3D town, and even enter a safe, supervised chat room to talk to other children around the world.

Web resources

The UDP website is a resource centre of photocopiable worksheets, teaching tips and interactive activities. Visit us at www.udaytonpublishing.es to find a host of free materials to help your lessons go further.

Social media

UDP Professional Services enables communities of teachers to follow professional development courses online. They can communicate with their e-tutor and discuss ideas with other members of their ‘virtual class’ (see page 8).

Raising standards

for

schools and teachers

With UDP Professional Services,

schools in Spain have a new level of

support to attain accredited Bilingual

status.

Practising teachers can also develop their

professional skills through a range of teacher training courses delivered exclusively online.

Each course is led by a qualified e-tutor who guides

a virtual class of training teachers through the materials.

Working together, teachers can exchange ideas and discuss key issues. They can try out new techniques in class and report back to the group through a variety of social media.

Plus, at the end of the course they can attain a UDP Certificate in Bilingual Education that recognises ability in the CLIL model of teaching.
