Scheduling
Accurate, resource leveled schedules are a cornerstone of any successful project. A well developed baseline, combined with timely
Work Task Planning &
Scheduling
Valve work task planning employs a two-phase streamlined approach based on industry best practices. We are committed to offering the client a more cost effective way to plan and complete projects on time and on budget.
Phase - 1
Field Condition & Equipment Evaluation Our field condition and equipment evaluation will set the field team up for success by putting the right documents and parts in their hands; greatly reducing the chance of costly re-work. Count on us to:
• Perform due diligence of configuration
management, which is critical to licensing, improves success factor of field work and mitigates discovery
• Perform walk down of approved scope to validate
field conditions
• Identify long-lead parts
• Recommend procurement strategy • Estimate resources and installation hours • Identify risks
• Recommend strategy for support group requirements (scaffolding, insulation, etc.)
Phase - 2
Work Package Development Tablet based work-package preparation saves time and money, provides process continuity, and accurately identifies resource requirements. This establishes a strong foundation for successful field execution by considering:
• Pressure boundary requirements • EQ requirements
• On-line wiring (OLW)
• Valve packing set specifications • Mechanical joint specifications • Clearance requests
• Relevant drawings/procedures
B&W’s comprehensive Quality Assurance program allows full procurement capability for materials in all code classifications. This, combined with our experienced staff and “best in class” materials management and inventory control, saves our customers time and money, and
offers:
• Assurance of traceability and configuration management • Inventory storage, coordination and warehousing aligned to
material quality level and code requirements
• Material staging and just-in-time delivery by work package
aligned to customer schedule requirements
• Storage of critical spares inventory
Procurement &
Leveraging our extensive manufacturing experience along with our mature quality program, B&W Canada can repair and reproduce any existing valve/actuator trim or component, meeting all code and quality requirements while rapidly responding to emergent customer needs.
Utilizing the latest technologies provides measurements accurate enough to meet the exacting criteria demanded for the re-engineering of components. This accuracy combined with the precision of our manufacturing process (tolerances of up to 0.0002”), results in components well within the design requirements of the OEM.
Replacement:
• Offers a solution to challenges faced by obsolescence
• Provides a direct alternative to the OEM • Cost and time savings
