We offer a comprehensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program featuring:
• Five levels of instruction: Foundation, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced and English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
• Testing upon arrival to determine the appropriate level for you.
ESL sessions last seven weeks (25 hours of study/week) and cost $2,753 CDN. This includes tuition, health insurance, and use of the computer lab.

How to Apply
Complete the Sheridan International
Admissions Application Form available online at
www. studyatsheridan.ca. A $100 CDN non-refundable application fee is required at the time of application. Acceptable methods of payment include electronic wire transfer, Visa or MasterCard.
English Proficiency
All international students whose first language is not English must provide a successful TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score. Our minimum scoring requirements are as follows:
Diploma and Certificate Applicants
• IELTS – 6.0 overall band with no band below 5.5. • TOEFL iBT – 80 with a minimum of 20 in each section. • With exception of our Pharmacy Technician program
which requires IELTS 6.5 overall band with no band below 6.0 OR TOEFL iBT 91 with (21L, 25W, 23S, 22R).
Degree and Postgraduate Applicants
• IELTS – 6.5 overall band with no band below 6.0. • TOEFL iBT – 88 with a minimum of 21 in each section. Applicants with a minimum of three years high school or postsecondary studies in Canada, Australia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, New Zealand, Singapore, U.S., U.K. and some Caribbean* countries will be exempted from TOEFL/IELTS requirements upon provision of a full transcript.(*Exclusions are: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Puerto Rico.)
ESL students may be offered conditional admission to full-time programs pending successful completion of the EAP level. Applicants to a Diploma/Certificate program must achieve a minimum EAP grade of 70%. Applied Degree and Graduate Certificate applicants must achieve a minimum EAP grade of 75%.

Applications are accepted and reviewed throughout the year. Please note you can apply online without a IELTS/TOEFL document at time of application; you may submit it at a later date. Deadline dates specific to your term will be communicated to you after you apply.
