ACES SCOPIA Mobile Quick Reference Guide

Procedure

Step 1

Obtain Scopia Mobile V3 from the App Store.

Step 2



Install Scopia Mobile V3 to your device.

Step 3

Tap the SCOPIA Mobile icon to open the application.

Step 4

Enter the URL of the SCOPIA Desktop Server.

Credentials are optional. Contact

[email protected]

to obtain Scopia Desktop Pro or Mobile credentials.

If you are a guest user, this screen is displayed:

Tap Done.

The SCOPIA Mobile connects to the SCOPIA Desktop Server. If you are a registered user, this screen is displayed:

Modifying default settings for SCOPIA Mobile

If necessary, you can modify these default settings: • Enable/disable the microphone when joining a meeting • Enable/disable the camera when joining a meeting • Video resolution

Note: We recommend that you do not modify the default video resolution setting.

• Video rates

• Display/hide call statistics • Activate/de-activate demo mode

• Enable/disable connecting in presentation-only mode

Procedure

Step 1

Tap the Settings icon.

Step 2

Scroll and tap SCOPIA Mobile. This screen is displayed:

Step 3

Modify the default settings as necessary.

Connecting to a meeting

If you are a registered user, you can either connect to your virtual room or connect to a meeting happening in a different virtual room using the meeting’s ID.

As a guest user, you can connect to a meeting by its ID. If you are invited to a meeting, tap the invitation link. SCOPIA Mobile connects to the meeting automatically.

Procedure

Step 1

Select Connect to your virtual room to connect to a virtual meeting room that is permanently assigned to you.

Connect to a meeting room other than your virtual room by entering the ID of a meeting and tapping Connect.

Step 2

If the meeting is PIN protected, enter the PIN when prompted.

Participating in a meeting

When you are connected to your meeting, this screen is displayed:

If you are a guest user, the Participants and Options icons are not displayed.

When you connect to a meeting on iPad and a presentation is in progress, you can see both meeting participants and the

Viewing the video conference

When using iPhone, you can tap the Conference icon to view the video of the conference and access conferencing functions at any time.

If you are viewing a presentation, tap the presentation with two fingers to switch to the conference view. Similarly, if you are viewing the video conference, tap the video with two fingers to switch to the presentation.

When using iPad, you can view the video conference by tapping the Conference icon. You access conference functions differently depending on the current layout you are using.

Changing the way participants are shown

You can double-tap a participant in the conference view to see only this participant on the screen. Double-tap the participant again to go back to the conference view.

You can also change the position of participants by dragging and dropping their videos.

Muting your microphone

When using iPad, just tap the Mute icon in the conference view.

When using iPhone, perform the procedure below.

Step 1

Tap anywhere in the conference view. The toolbar is displayed.

Step 2

Tap the Mute icon.

Choosing a different camera or disabling the camera

If necessary, you can either choose a different camera to provide your video input or disable your camera not to send any video input at all.

When using iPad, just tap the Camera icon in the conference view.

When using iPhone, perform the procedure below.

Procedure

Step 1

Tap anywhere in the conference view. The toolbar is displayed.

Step 2

Tap the Camera icon.

The camera menu is displayed.

Step 3

Select the relevant option: • None (not to send any video input) • Front camera

Changing layouts (iPad only)

Functionality described in this section is available only on iPads. When a presentation is shared in a meeting, you can choose the way your conference video and the presentation are displayed by changing the screen layout. You can choose to view:

• only the conference video • only the presentation

• the conference video in a large frame with the presentation in a small frame

• the presentation video in a large frame with the conference video in a small frame. We recommend that you use this layout when holding your iPad vertically.

If you choose layout with both conference video and

presentation, one of them is displayed in picture-in-picture as shown below.

Procedure

Step 1

Tap the Layout icon on the toolbar.

Step 2

Tap the required layout option.

Step 3

If you chose a layout showing both the conference video and the presentation, you can drag and drop the small frame to any corner. You can also resize the small frame by grabbing the corner and dragging it.

Changing the position of your own video

By default your self-see view is on and you can see yourself in a corner of your conference view. If necessary, you can move your video by dragging it to a different corner.

Disconnecting from a meeting

When you disconnect from a meeting, you leave the meeting while the rest of the participants can continue using this virtual meeting room.

If you are a registered user, you can end the meeting,

disconnecting from it and closing the virtual room. In this case all participants are disconnected from this meeting. For operational information see Terminating your meeting. When using iPad, just tap the Disconnect icon in the conference view.

When using iPhone, perform the procedure below.

Tap anywhere in the conference view.

Viewing a presentation

When a participant is presenting in a meeting, the presentation starts automatically.

When using iPad, the presentation is automatically displayed on the screen when it starts.

Procedure

Step 1

(iPhone only) Tap the Presentation icon to access the Presentation screen. The presentation is displayed in the live mode.

Double-tap the conference video with two fingers to switch to the presentation view.

Step 2

To review the presentation in the Offline mode, tap the slide. Slides are displayed as a Cover Flow. Navigate through the presentation as follows: • Use the forward and back buttons to navigate to the
