• Single mode optical fibre (the hair-thin strands of glass that power our communications networks globally) was pioneered by BT and now, quite literally, underpins almost every network-based interaction you have. Put more simply, any phone call you make (fixed or mobile) and TV programme you watch (terrestrial or satellite), even when you purchase things in a shop or pay with a card – all these everyday activities will, at some point, be carried over single mode optical fibre. • TV service, BT Vision, network
development as well as testing – including that for BT’s superfast Broadband rollout.
• Next generation voice technology is developed on-site and BT, Adastral Park also contains Europe’s largest testing and integration facility.
