Mark Earl and Esther Ruth Spencer Technical Scholarship

--All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship

Students attending eligible Iowa colleges and universities may receive awards of up to the average tuition and fee rate established for students attending a Regent University for the 2009-2010 academic year. Priority will be given to students who participated in the Federal TRIO Programs, graduated from alternative high schools, and to homeless youth. [Program Fact Sheet]

Eligibility Criteria:

* Iowa resident who begins initial enrollment at an eligible Iowa college or university within two academic years of graduating from high school and continuously receives a scholarship award

* Minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent

* Enroll for at least 3 semester hours (or the trimester or quarter equivalent) in a program leading to an undergraduate degree

* Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the July 1st filing deadline.

--Governor Terry E. Branstad Iowa State Fair Scholarship

This scholarship, named after former Governor Terry E. Branstad, recognizes

outstanding Iowa high school seniors who have actively participated in the Iowa State Fair. Up to four scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 are awarded each year. Eligibility Criteria:

* Actively participate in the Iowa State Fair (past or present) * Be a graduating senior from an Iowa high school

--Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship

The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship provides renewable funds of up to $1,500 to Iowa high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. The competitive selection is determined by academic officials. Recipients may attend any accredited postsecondary institution in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria:

* Iowa resident/high school senior

* Minimum 3.5 GPA and 28 ACT/1860 SAT test scores * Class rank in the top 10 percent

Applicants must meet specific course requirements including: * Two years of the same foreign language

* Three years of social studies, science (including one year each of biology, chemistry, and physics), and math (beyond general science and pre-Algebra)

--2009-10 Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Recipients

Robert D. Blue Scholarship

The Robert D. Blue Scholarship, named after former Iowa Governor Robert D. Blue, provides funds ranging from $500 to $1,000 to Iowa students who demonstrate literary and scholastic ability; exhibit qualities of truth, courage, and fellowship; and display moral force of character. Applicants can be current high school seniors or students already enrolled at an Iowa college or university.

--Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:

* Son and/or daughter of Iowa Farm Bureau member

* Enrolled in an accredited college, university or community college

* High school graduate, or if still in high school must have an expected graduation date of Spring 2010

* College freshmen, sophomore, junior or senior in a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university

* Working toward a degree in one of the following occupational areas of agriculture and/or agribusiness: (1) Production, (2) Horticulture, (3) Sales and Service, (4) Products and Processing, (5) Forestry, (6) Conservation, (7) Mechanization, (8) Research, (9) Economics, (10) Education and (11) Ag Health (Occupational Health and/or Veterinary Science) curriculum

Iowa Motor Carriers’ Foundation, Inc.

Scholarships are available to students majoring in any field of study. Selections are based on financial need, academic record, and outside activities as pertains to school and community citizenship.

Eligibility: --student must be a permanent resident of the state of Iowa

--student must currently be attending or planning to attend an Iowa community college, public or private trade school, private college or university, public college or university

1. Cummins Great Plains Diesel Scholarship--open to students pursuing a degree and career in diesel technology

8. Darryl Mason Scholarship--perpetual scholarship establish as a way to give back to the industry

Iowa Narcotics Officers’ Association Youth Scholarship

$1000 to two students to college of recipient’s choice. Paid after a successful first semester.

Eligibility: --must be a resident of the state of Iowa

--must be enrolled in a college as a full time freshman in the fall of 2010

--must have a reference from a teacher and a community leader --must request a reference from a current member in good

Iowa Soybean Association

Ag Scholarship Program: 10, $1500 scholarships for seniors who will be furthering their educations at an ag-related college or university.

Eligibility: --3.0 or higher gpa --Iowa residents

--plan to attend any ag-related college or university

--show scholastic achievement, community leadership, other achievements, and interests

--demonstrate outstanding leadership among peers in an organization or the community

--preference to students with parents or grandparents who are an Iowa Soybean Association member

Iowa State University--ACACIA Leadership Scholarship

Available to any male, graduating senior from an accredited Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota or Nebraska high school who attends Iowa State University. Must have exhibited exceptional ability in the fields of academics, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. Financial need is not a criteria. Maximum value is $1000.

Jefferson County Farm Bureau

For students living in Jefferson County whose parents belong to Jefferson County Farm Bureau. Two scholarships of $300 each year for two years will be awarded. Application deadline: April 1, 2010

Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary Scholarship

Eligibliity: --must be a resident of Jefferson County

--must be interested in receiving an education in a health-related field. Has formal contract stipulations.

--must have a minimum high school gpa of 2.5 --must maintain a yearly gpa of at least 25 Application deadline: April 15, 2010

Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District

For high school senior students pursuing programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources. Three scholarships on the state level in the amounts of $1800, $1,200, and $1000. Regional winners who do not receive the state awards will each receive $300. Leadership and scholastic achievement will be evaluated.

Keokuk County Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship

Keokuk Country Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship

For all students residing in Keokuk County who pursue programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources. County winner receives a $200 savings bond and will be entered in regional competition; non-state award regional winners will each receive a

$300 scholarship. Three state scholarships will be awarded amounts of $1800, $1200, and $1000.

--Teacher of Tomorrow Award Two $500 scholarships for Iowa students aspiring to teach.

--Marcia Bandstra Memorial Scholarship One $500. Applicant must be entering a humanitarian degree program and be distinguished as an outstanding citizen and scholar. Application must be downloaded from www.peiowa.org

--Consumer Credit Financial Literacy Award One $300 To encourage students who are soon entering the work world to plan for their financial future.
