ü Chemokine- glycosaminoglycan (GAG) interaction in vitro and in vivo
ü Diverse protein purification techniques for the production of recombinant
chemokines in lab scale
ü Establishing large scale protein expression and purification systems
ü Characterisation of chemokine-GAG interaction at equilibrium by
fluorescence and circular dichroism spectroscopy, kinetics were mainly investigated by surface plasmon resonance
ü Cell based in situ assays were performed in a standard Boyden
chamber set up
ü Chemokine/GAG competition assay was set up in a 96 well format using
fluorescence as detection method
ü In vivo, investigation of the chemokine/GAG interaction using
inflammatory models, e.g. mouse-peritonitis model, mouse ear prick model and rat ischemia reperfusion injury model
ü Involved in the implementation of a quality system at ProtAffin to assure
standardised and traceable operating procedures in the labs
