Dear Dr. Math,
Please help me! My aunt is making a gum
wrapper chain to decorate her basement. She
will pay me a penny for each gum wrapper. I
cleaned up my room and found 35 gum
wrappers. Then I snuck into my brother’s room
and found 48 gum wrappers. Then I looked in
my dad’s car and found 22 more gum wrappers.
How can I figure out how many pennies my aunt
should give me?
Sincerely,
Dream Clubhouse

Elementary Mathematics (3-5)
Getting Prepared
Let’s analyze the 3-5 EOG math results. How does instruction need to change to meet the needs of our students? This session will explore strategies to help students build a deep understanding of concepts they struggle with….fractions, decimals, etc. If you need support to better
prepare your students for mastery of CCSS, then don’t miss this Regional Professional Development session.
Secondary Mathematics (6-12)
The CCSSM for Every Learner
Each student arrives to class with his or her own strengths and
challenges, which is why designing and implementing lessons in such a way that all students have access to the intended mathematics content is essential. Therefore, during the 2014 Spring RESA, secondary
