PRAY WASHINGTON PRAYER OBJECTIVES– MARCH 2015
NOTE: This cover page contains a summary of condensed prayer requests in each of the spheres of influence for March. Pray as the Spirit leads. Use the other pages for additional information to ‘fuel’ your prayers as an informed intercessor. Thank you for your commitment to partner in the priesthood of Christ for our state, nation and Israel.
STATE AND NATIONAL PRAYER FOCUS:“THE HOLINESS OF GOD"
Churches: Pray for Christ's body to experience the deep holiness of the Lord, the purity He desires, releasing the unity we desire - when we seek to live fully in the Word of God and prayer. Pray this hour of tremendous opportunity - with destructive and devastating news – that His grace abounds to impact the “spiritual powers of darkness” with the knowledge that Christ is VICTOR because of His blood and our responsive obedience, intercession, repentance and fasting - for our community, state, nation and the world.
Praise Him for pastors uniting together for prayer in increasing numbers in cities in the state.
Government: Pray for the protection of religious freedom in this state--in light of the recent ruling against Arlene's Flowers in Richland. A Benton County Superior Court Judge ruled it is illegal to refer business for same-sex ceremonies if you are willing to provide business for any wedding. This decision has significant implications for business owners who hold the historic view on issues of marriage and sexuality. As a result, both the business and personal assets of Barronelle Stutzman are at risk of state seizure. The decision will be appealed. Continue to pray also for the
members of the Washington State Legislature and the114th Congress that they will stand for righteousness. Pray evil legislation will not pass in our state this session!
Families/Social Services/and Health: Pray about the mental illness crisis in Washington state with its high ratio of individuals suffering with mental illness coupled by limited access to care. Pray for those who are incarcerated to find Christ and grace for those who minister to them.
Military/ Law Enforcement Agencies/Firefighters/EMS: Pray about the Pasco shooting in February and that it not be turned into a "Ferguson, Missouri type of event," as some are trying to instigate. Pray for peace in the situation and for a drawing together of the churches. Many military personal are on alert or are being deployed due to the dangerous situations in the Middle East. Pray for them and their families.
Education: Pray for all the teachers and administrators – and if you have children in school, pray
for them by name. Pray for those teachers and aides who handle special-needs students. Pray for protection from the influence of foreign gods in our schools through the teaching of the Quran.
Media/Communication/Arts/Entertainment: Pray for pure worship in our churches that lifts to higher levels of praise that we may behold the "beauty of holiness" in the face of Jesus Christ. Thank Him for quality worship events that are taking place throughout the state.
Business/Employment: Pray that the agricultural sector will get the rain needed for their crops and livelihood. Pray for Washington's economy to move forward since exports play such a major role, especially following the implications from the recent West Coast port strike.

PRAY WASHINGTON 24/7 VISION: The Presence of God revealed in response to persevering prayer - producing REPENTANCE, leading to REVIVAL, and releasing REFORMATION in our lives, our churches and our culture.
SCRIPTURE: “Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name for Thou only art holy.” Revelation 15:4
PRAYER: HOLY! HOLY! HOLY! Lord God Almighty, grant us true repentance to acknowledge the truth that without holiness we will not see You. We thank You for the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all that is not right when we confess sin, but we also need You to remind us of the requirement You gave regarding seeking, striving, overcoming sin - living lives that honor and glorify You in all purity. We are to be in this world, but not of it. We are to cleanse ourselves from all defilement. Our sins separate us from You! Our sins, individually, and as the church, Your Body, are responsible for opening the door to Your enemies and
releasing the horrors we see falling on our nation and the nations. Our sins keep us asleep to the need for fervent prayer and fasting; our sins lead us into temptations that kill our spirits and give the devil access to our homes, businesses and churches. We are being brought into bondage and we need Your tears to lubricate our hearts! JESUS, lead us to live holy lives and help us, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to pray Your heart until repentance, revival and
reformation is released. Amen.

Pray for churches in Washington state to see a greater manifestation of Him in all His holiness--high and lifted up. Holiness is the rule of all His actions and all His ways. Reform us–O Lord--so we may follow obediently in Your holy footsteps and see Your wonders! The angels that fell were created holy, but "kept not their first estate.” Pray we remember: "The law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” (Romans 7:12) Praise the Lord for His redemption which leads us to His holy habitation!
Pray for greater spiritual cohesion and even fusion among those who plan and prepare for the many church/ministry activities that are taking place throughout our state to lift up Christ. As
Pray Washington Page 3 we accomplish more together--united in the Spirit--than we can apart, pray for the Body of Christ to bond with one another in holiness under His banner of love.
Pray for pastoral gatherings occurring in our state during the month of March. Examples include: 1) Seattle Pastors’ Luncheon With Evangelist Luis Palau, March 5, in Bellevue; 2) the "Western Washington Pastors Prayer Gathering" to be held in Olympia on March 18, sponsored by Church Awakening; 3) Tri-Cities Prayer Focus: Several Pastors have joined together to pray weekly over the area of Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, Pasco, Benton City, Finley and Burbank!
Pray that many more pastors will be drawn to plan and attend these and other similar events throughout the state. Pray: 1) Christ will be exalted in their gatherings; 2) that a strong bond of love and unity will be forged among them; and 3) that they will be refreshed, renewed, strengthened and invigorated to work together to see His Kingdom come on earth. Praise Him for all the new pastoral groups that are beginning to gather and form throughout the State.

GOVERNMENT

PRAISE HIM that He reigns and rules in the affairs of men--in spite of what we may see and hear through the mainline news media. Continue to declare that He reigns in Washington state and that His Kingdom will increasingly be established here.
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IN WASHINGTON STATE. Arlene's Flowers, Richland
:
Owner Barronelle Stutzman stood for her Christian convictions when she decided not to arrange the flowers for a same-sex wedding. In a troubling ruling issued in February for those who are concerned about religious freedom, her action was judged to be illegal by Benton County Superior Court Judge Alex Ekstrom. The case will not be tried now; however, there will be an appeal. Please pray for: Process of appeal and protection over the personal assets of the Stutzman's.
Pray for Christians to stand with small businesses and conscience protection in the marketplace throughout this state.
Pray for our Washington State Judiciary and especially Judge Alex Ekstrom who wrote the ruling.
Mrs. Stutzman's letter to Attorney General Bob Ferguson following the ruling states as follows:
Dear Mr. Ferguson,
Thank you for reaching out and making an offer to settle your case against me. As you may imagine, it has been mentally and emotionally exhausting to be at the center of this controversy for nearly two years. I never

imagined that using my God-given talents and abilities, and doing what I love to do for over three decades, would become illegal. Our state would be a better place if we respected each other’s differences, and our leaders protected the freedom to have those differences. Since 2012, same-sex couples all over the state have been free to act on their beliefs about marriage, but because I follow the Bible’s teaching that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, I am no longer free to act on my beliefs.
Your offer reveals that you don’t really understand me or what this conflict is all about. It’s about freedom, not money. I certainly don’t relish the idea of losing my business, my home, and everything else that your lawsuit threatens to take from my family, but my freedom to honor God in doing what I do best is more
important. Washington’s constitution guarantees us “freedom of conscience in all matters of religious
sentiment.” I cannot sell that precious freedom. You are asking me to walk in the way of a well-known betrayer, one who sold something of infinite worth for 30 pieces of silver. That is something I will not do.
I pray that you reconsider your position. I kindly served Rob for nearly a decade and would gladly continue to do so. I truly want the best for my friend. I’ve also employed and served many members of the LGBT community, and I will continue to do so regardless of what happens with this case. You chose to attack my faith and pursue this not simply as a matter of law, but to threaten my very means of working, eating, and having a home. If you are serious about clarifying the law, then I urge you to drop your claims against my home, business, and other assets and pursue the legal claims through the appeal process. Thanks again for writing and I hope you will consider my offer.
2015 WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE (WSL). The WSL continues in session through April 26, 2015, as deadlines, hearings and pressures mount. Pray for Christian Legislators to remain steadfast and persevering always presenting the case for righteousness and justice in the laws they are considering. Pray that the "Ruler of the Heavens" will rule over the affairs of this legislative body. Thank Him for answers to prayer that have occurred in the Legislature, and press in for more.
KEY LEGISLATION to pray about this month based on recommendations by the Family Policy Institute of Washington include:
Pray in support of SB 5289/HB 1493 - Requiring 48-hour notification to be given to parents or guardians before an abortion can be performed on a minor..
Pray against SB 5026/HB 1502 - Employer Abortion Pill - would overturn the Hobby Lobby decision. Pray against SB 5005- Third-Party (Grandparent) Visitation Rights - goes against will of fit parent to make decisions regarding their children.
Pray against SB 5870 & HB 1972 - This bill would ban licensed therapists from providing sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE) for minors.
Pray against SB 5175- Telemedicine (Webcam Abortions) - Allows provisions for abortion facilities to perform webcam abortions..
Pray against SB 5574 & HB 1647 - Abortion Mandate. Requires insurance companies to provide abortion coverage.
Pray against HB 2009 - Immunization Exemptions.
Pray in support of HB 1687 - Life at Conception Act.
Pray against SB 5919 - Informed Assisted Suicide.
Pray that Christian pastors will open the sessions in prayer--not those who call upon false gods. Pray that idols will be cast down among those who are serving in the Legislature and that they will no longer have an appetite for idolatry.
Pray that Christians from throughout the state will flood the State Capitol with visits and pray over the proceedings and that God will move in a mighty way. Pray that they will be able to connect with their own legislators. Pray too that many will visit Daniels Prayer House south of the state capitol and pray there. 114th CONGRESS - THE OTHER WASHINGTON. Continue to pray for Washington State's Senators and Representatives in the 114th Congress. Senators are: Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. Representatives listed in order by Districts 1-10 are: Suzanne DelBene, Rick Larson, Jaime Herrera Beutler, Dan Newhouse, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Derek Kilmer, Jim McDermott, Dave Reichart, Adam Smith, and Dennis Heck. Pray for righteousness to break forth in the most unlikely places.

FAMILIES/SOCIAL SERVICES AND HEALTH
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart: who has not lifted up his soul to vanity nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O Jacob. Selah. Pray for families who know the Lord to continue to make their homes places of "clean hands and pure hearts" and that they will continually hunger for His Kingdom and His righteousness to be increased in their lives. That they would be "homes of refuge" in this darkened culture to friends and neighbors who don't know Him and who would not darken the door of a church. Praise Him for His promised blessing that He will abundantly pour out upon them. Declare that the "gates" of our homes are open to Him and that the King of Glory is welcome to come in.
Mental Illness. Once again Washington state has been given a statistical ranking that reflects on this state reaping what we have sown to the flesh. A just-released report by the Washington State Institute for Public Policy indicates that about 24% of Washington adults meet criteria indicating a mental health disorder; this is the third highest among all the states. Also, "roughly 7% met further criteria for a serious mental illness that interfered with daily life--ranking Washington No. 2 in the nation." The report also states that we are lagging in access to care for these individuals. Intercede for these who are suffering with mental illness, who are often misunderstood, and very often difficult to deal with and to help. Remember the Gadarene out of whom Jesus cast a legion of demons, and who immediately sat at Jesus' feet with a teachable spirit, clothed, and "in his right mind". Jesus told him to go home and tell his family and friends
"what great things the Lord has done for you". Pray that this type of testimony will be multiplied in this state and that many will be healed.
Pray for the incarcerated to have "God-encounters" while they are confined. Praise Him for the faithful ones who minister to those in the jails and prisons and for the conversions they are seeing. Pray for resources for those who want to follow Him upon their release.
CHURCH EXTENSION MINISTRIES. Continue to pray for ministries throughout our state that represent multiple churches uniting together to exalt Christ and His Kingdom in serving the social and health needs here: Union Gospel Mission, Salvation Army, Gideon’s, Emerald City Shine, Youth for Christ, and Young Life, Faith Harvest, Teen Esteem, Care Net, Healing Hearts, Blessed Ministry, Wisdom Ministries, Daniels Prayer Ministry, Truly Motivated Transitional Living, and many others like them. Pray all their needs are met so they can meet the increasing spiritual and physical needs of our state. MILITARY/LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES/FIREFIGHTERS/EMS
“Having therefore , brothers, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus." Hebrews 10:19
Pray for the U.S. military to have "holy boldness" as they submit their ways to the "Lord of the Angel Armies". Pray for their protection by the blood of the Lamb as they are confronted with dangerous situations, and that they will cry out to God alone for help. Pray for their protection from the influence of false gods, and that they will see Christ Jesus "high and lifted up" over them, and pray they submit their lives wholeheartedly to Him alone.
PASCO SHOOTING. Agitators would like to turn the February 10th shooting in Pasco into a "Ferguson, Missouri type of event", and they are bringing in "recruits" from out-of-state to help them do just that. Prayer points:1) Peace over the situation. Compassion to win over hatred; 2) Outsiders to remain outside; 3) Fair rulings and news to be covered correctly; and 4) Church leaders to unite together for prayer and Spirit-led action with their congregations.
Pray too for law enforcement officers to be strong in handling the pressures that they face every single day in our state. Pray for their safety and protection from those who would want to do them harm. Continue to repent for lawlessness in our state and for healing of deep-seated wounds. Pray for law enforcement officers to be respected and honored by the young.
Pray for firefighters and emergency personnel to see signs, wonders and miracles that astound them and cause them to speak forth the glories of God! Pray that they will regard every life as sacred.
Prayer is a mighty power, as stated in this quote from "Why Revival Tarries" by Leonard Ravenhill:
"The potency of prayer has subdued the strength of fire; it has bridled the rage of lions, hushed anarchy to rest, extinguished wars, appeased the elements, expelled demons, burst the chains of death, expanded the gates of Heaven, assuaged diseases, repelled frauds, rescued cities from destruction, stayed the sun in its course, and arrested the progress of the thunderbolt. Prayer is an all-sufficient panoply, a treasure undiminished, a mine which is never exhausted, a sky unobscured by clouds, a heaven unruffled by the storm. It is the root, the fountain, the mother, of a thousand blessings."
EDUCATION

DATES to remember this month: Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 8; March 17th is Saint Patrick's Day; and March 20th is a total solar eclipse.
Remember St. Patrick, who brought the gospel to Ireland and pray for more who are willing to trek across hard landscapes to share the Light of Christ. "They worshipped multiple gods of the sky and the earth and the water, so his first challenge was to convince the Irish

"Christ be within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ inquired, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger."
Pray that good will be called good and evil, evil in our schools; light will be seen and darkness will flee; and that sweetness of truth will be distinguished from the bitterness of lies in the school curricula.
PROTECTION IN OUR SCHOOLS FROM FOREIGN GODS. FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE: "In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a "National Day of Prayer." In 1988
President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as The National Day of Prayer. In June 2007 (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama Declared that the USA 'was no longer a Christian nation.' In 2009 President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House so as 'not to offend anyone'.
However on September 25, 2009 from 4 AM until 7 PM, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was held on Capitol Hill, inside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims In D.C. that day. The President prayed with the Muslims. I guess it doesn't matter if 'Christians' were offended by this event. We don't count as 'anyone' anymore. Now President Obama is encouraging schools to teach the Quran for extra credit, while at the same time, students cannot even talk about the Bible, God, pray, or salute the American Flag. The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian
, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated."

MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS/ARTS/ENTERTAINMENT
“O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him ALL the earth. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigns . . . . Let the Heavens rejoice and let the earth be glad." Psalm 96:9,11
Pray that the worship in our churches will rise to even higher levels of praise that we may truly behold the "beauty of holiness" and see joy, gladness and hope powerfully released into the hearts of the worshipers.
Pray about the upcoming James Nesbitt "Whirlwind West Worship Tour," coming to each of the states on the West Coast. James will begin his tour in the center of our state--Vantage on May 2, 2015.All are invited! James and the team will also hold events in Colville, Canada, and then continue into Oregon and California. James has led many worship journeys along rivers and interstate highways, as well as along the east coast corridor and Route 66, and in cities such as Washington DC, Chicago, and St. Louis. Wherever James and his team go, they deposit a new "sound" into the land through worship. He has an anointing to bring deliverance to regions through worship. Pray that the worship will result in a shattering of strongholds in this state and the breaking forth of much spiritual light.
Pray that movies released with family values will do well financially and can multiply their efforts with high quality, high impact stories of honor, justice, courage and valor.
Continue to pray for "truth" and testimonies to be released by the media--rather than edited out in their news coverage--"at the mention of His Name".

BUSINESS/EMPLOYMENT

Pray that Washington's agricultural sector will get the rain needed for their crops.
Pray for the state's economy especially in light of the importance of exports and the impact of the recent port strike. Information about Washington's role in the global economy is included in a research paper entitled, "International Trade and Washington Exports," published by the Office of Financial Management:
o Washington ranks among the top export states in the nation. In 1999, the state ranked fourth in total value of exports among the 50 states. Only California, Texas, and New York exported more.
o Transportation equipment, mainly aircraft and aircraft parts, is Washington’s leading export sector. Washington’s second leading export industry is agricultural crops. Currently, industrial machinery and computer equipment is Washington’s third-leading exporter.
o Washington’s top five export destinations are Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and China. Together they account for 44 percent of the state’s total exports.

Purim Watch—Four Fronts
The message of Purim is a timeless witness to the Lord’s faithful intervention. We need the same intervention in this hour to protect and defend God’s covenant people, especially on three fronts— ISIS, Iran, and America. We must continue to watch and pray against ISIS in Syria and Iraq, as well as potential terror strikes in our own nation. While seeking a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration has risen publicly against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and is seeking to marginalize his voice as he warns of potential catastrophe. President Obama’s top campaign director is even leading a campaign in Israel to unseat Netanyahu in the upcoming elections! As in the days of Esther, the destiny of Israel is in the balance. Fasting and prayer must focus on the Iranian nuclear deal, the Israeli PM Netanyahu’s speech in Congress, and the
upcoming Israeli elections.
March 1—Iranian Nuclear Deal. March 1 is the deadline for Iran and western powers to agree upon a framework for a
nuclear deal, with the resolution accomplished by June 1. Both Iranian PM Rouhani and President Obama have agreed that the talks will not be extended no matter the outcome.

March 3—Netanyahu Speech. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to address a joint session of
Congress on 3/3 on his perceptions of the Iranian nuclear threat. This speech is hotly contested by President Obama, who believes it could jeopardize the deal with Iran.
March 4/5—Purim. God’s scepter of favor extended! The scepter of the wicked must no longer remain on the land
allotted to the righteous.
March 17—Elections in Israel.
