How to Install & Configure PDS 8.0

First of all we need to install Database Oracle 9i for PDS 8.0. Download link for Oracle 9i as under.

Extract all rar files after download. After extraction you have three discs of Oracle Database. Go to Disk1 run setup.exe some time we are unable to execute the setup.exe files if it happened then open your command prompt go to Disk1 and run setup.exe. After execute setup follow snapshots as under.

Select Oracle9i Database 9.2.0.1.0 and click Next.

Uncheck Oracle Management Server under Oracle Enterprises Manager.
Uncheck Oracle Windows Documentation and click Next.

Click Unblock for java to go through firewall.
Click next for create new database.

Database installation is start.

Check perform typical configuration and click Next.

Select Create a Database and click Next.
Select New Database and click Next.

Type your Database & SID name and Click Next.

Uncheck all default check items and click OK.

Default Properties
Select Typical and add values.

Click All Installation Parameters. Change open_cursors value to 500
Change Processes value to 500 and click Close.

Click DB Sizing.
Add new values and click Next.

Open SYSTEM tablespace properties.
Change file size 250MB to 325MB and click OK.

Add Managed Storage values as under and click Temp.
Open TEMP tablespace properties.

Click Storage and select Managed in the dictionary.
Add Managed Storage values as under and click USERS.

Change file size 25MB to 1500MB and click OK.
Click Storage and select Managed in the dictionary.

Create new Tablespace with the name of RBS

Add Managed Storage values as under and clicks create.

Fill in blanks as you want and click finish.
