Outreach Team On the Move
Quinlan ISD Learning Mobile Cafe 7-26-2021
Quinlan ISD staff members saw the need for nutritional and academic support for students and their families during long school breaks. Quinlan ISD spans 152 square miles, serves four municipalities and portions of four counties. Nutrition- al and academic support is available to the students who needed it most, in their own neighborhoods.
The dream is now a reality through a partnership between Quinlan ISD, United Way of Hunt County, and the ACE Program. The Mobile Learning Café is decorat- ed like a 50’s style cafe down to the booths, chairs, and countertops. It is
equipped with bookshelves, instructional technology, and the ability to carry and serve hot meals. The Learning Mobile Café ran from Mondays-Thursdays, July 12- 29, 2021 at two locations. Our outreach team was onsite to provide attendees with health education and information on Medicaid, CHIP and Texas Health Steps. Aetna Better Health of Texas is proud to be a partner in continuing to better serve the Hunt County community.
