• Triple skinned GRP roof lights to 15% of floor area – non fragile for a period of 25 years

PR1 is designed with the health and wellbeing of occupiers and their employees in mind. Employees spend significant periods of time in enclosed spaces during which sub- standard lighting and exposure to indoor air pollutants can lead to poor health and wellbeing outcomes. PR1 is designed to incorporate natural light, promote clean air and minimise human exposure to harmful contaminants.

This can maximise benefits in the productivity, wellbeing and health for our occupiers and their employees. Measure include:

• Air quality sensors to control outside air supply rates

• Views outside the building, access to daylight and glare control

• Efficient LED lighting design to provide appropriate lighting levels and occupant control

• Thermal comfort for building occupants

CYCLING PROVISION

The use of cycling for short journeys of less than 10 miles will form key part of a low carbon future, with the added benefit of improving national health outcomes. As such, PR1 is equipped with high class facilities which truly encourage building users out of their cars and onto their bikes, with measures including:

• Secure bike parking shelters with charge points

• Changing/showering facilities, drying rooms, and lockers.

• Encouraging occupants to adopt active commuting by working with the local authorities to encourage safe bike lanes.
