A NEW APPROACH FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL LITERACY OF STUDENTS IN MATHEMATICAL LESSONS WITH UPDATED
CONTENT OF EDUCATION
Abstract. In this paper, special attention is paid to the process of education as a
process of personal development with the introduction of a new model of education.
This perspective presents optimal algorithms for the development of functional literacy of students in math lessons of the updated content of education. In this paper presents
131
an approach to a new process of assessing students ' knowledge, which makes it possible to improve functional literacy.
Keywords: models of education, functional literacy, education, new technologies.
Introduction.
In [1] articulated the idea of the head of the state N.A Nazarbayev in his address to people of Kazakhstan dated 27 January 2012 "socio-economic modernization as main vector of development of Kazakhstan" has set a specific task for the adoption of a five-year National plan on development of functional literacy of students.
In [2] as part of the optimization of the idea expressed in the 11th message, it is necessary to strengthen the continuous bias of education. He reported on the importance of restoring the logical interconnection of all types of preschool, primary, secondary, professional, higher and postgraduate education as an integral element of "
age " education /
In. [3] it is stated that training should not only give young people knowledge, but also teach them to use it in the process of social adaptation. The government needs to adopt a five-year national action plan for the development of functional literacy of schoolchildren, and sixth, to strengthen the educational component of the learning process.
In [4].it is noted that to improve the material and spiritual well-being of citizens, sustainable economic development, it is necessary to increase the competitiveness of education by ensuring access to quality education for all, and the development of human capital.
The idea of technolization of education is not a new idea, since in [5] Jan Amos Komensky opposed the Bilim system of his time, the idea of a new type of school for building a school. It requires learning knowledge that is useful for life, necessary for business. Therefore, the goal of the school is to educate an intelligent person, and this is the only way to achieve the goal-said. John Amos Comenius-education and Velimirovi the younger generation. "To be a person, he must get knowledgeβ ""a Knowledgeable person" - said the founder of new pedagogy from the 16th to the 17th
132
centuries, the great Slavic teacher Jan Amos Kamensky speaks about the need for technolization of learning. Math-logical basis of all science, and therefore mathematics shapes culture develops correct student thinking, making it more perfect and helps to perceive what is happening in the world. In math lessons, using various learning technologies, you can expand theoretical knowledge and develop logical thinking of students in the process of creative search, activation of independent work.
"Technology" in Greek means "skill, art, ability to influence the activity of a particular phenomenon", and "technique" - a way, method and technique that helps you accurately, quickly, and effectively achieve your goal. It is "for the didactic machine:
1) the goal set; 2) the means to achieve this goal; 3) find rules for the use of these means that will not lead to the goal."
The current changes in the country, new strategic directions of sustainable development and the openness of society, its operational awareness and intensity have radically changed the requirements for education. Special attention is paid to education as a process of personal development with the introduction of a new model of education. "One of the main problems at the present stage is the special role of teachers in the upbringing and education of future generations during the development of new technologies.
Updating education creates students not only knowledge, but also skills for their application, in particular functional literacy. Develops students' skills to use knowledge for self-education, analysis, design, comprehensive self-expression in public life and benefits society.
Functional literacy is the active involvement of people in social, cultural, political and economic activities, i.e. the continuous improvement of human knowledge regardless of their profession, age, or modernity in the era of globalization.
The main goal is to form an intellectually, physically and spiritually developed citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan in General education schools, and their social adaptation in the world.
The guiding qualities here are: active, creative thinking, the ability to make decisions, choose the right profession, and a willingness to learn throughout life.
133
To day, the most effective way to prepare a well-developed, active, life-loving person from the threshold of school is mathematical literacy in training.
Mathematical literacy mathematical speech and written culture narration about the environment and its laws, its study, students ' assimilation of the scientific picture of the world. - determine and understand the role of mathematics in the world, read, analyze, interpret numerical information presented in various forms, make well- founded mathematical judgments, find effective ways to solve problems, perform, test yourself, relate yourself to life, freely apply mathematical knowledge in solving various problems that arise in life situations.
Basic Literacy in mathematical lessons includes:
1. Mathematics-alternative concepts from the existence of science. Therefore, mathematics is considered as the logical basis of all Sciences-the root.
2. Mathematics primarily forms, develops and improves the culture of correct thinking of students.
3. "mathematical literacy" through the formation of oral and written abilities strengthens the student's ability to master" mathematical literacy".
4. Mathematics helps to correctly perceive and understand various phenomena and discoveries occurring in the world.
5. Mathematics also has an educational value in the moral, aesthetic and ethical development of the future personality.
For the formation of mathematical literacy it is necessary:
- knowledge of theory, combining it with logic
- instill the ability to see the effective side when compiling a report
- math competition lesson, subject evening, week with the history of mathematics development linking,
In order to improve the mathematical literacy of students in grades 5-6, we increasingly use logical problems and game forms. As you know, games used in math lessons expand students ' mathematical concepts, improve their thinking, and improve their computing skills. Increases the wit and interest of each child, promotes the
134
assimilation of theoretical material and its practical application, refreshes it, increases motivation, activity to learn. In addition, it is not uncommon for students who are silent during a normal one-day lesson to be very active during the game. After all, during the game, they get not only equal rights, but also the opportunity to make others look at themselves. Their actions become free and bold, begin to show depth of thinking, and the assimilation of knowledge is carried out at a certain stage of activity.
Use of an interactive whiteboard in math lessons on information learning technology. With the help of an interactive whiteboard, students learn new material as much as possible with the help of special programs, and also increase functional literacy.
Currently, improving the quality of students ' knowledge on a creative basis with the effective use of an interactive whiteboard in the classroom is a requirement of life.
To do this, the teacher uses effective interactive methods to create problem situations, as a result of group work of students creates favorable conditions for their independent understanding of the topic, conducts and promotes cognitive activities. At the end, students themselves sum up the results and fix them with practical work.
The main task of teachers is to instill new technologies, effective methods and techniques. The effectiveness of the new technology is such that the student:
* learns to set goals;
β’ develop the ability to remember;
* collaborates with others;
* learn how to work with a book;
* tries not to stay away;
* gifted students further strengthen their abilities;
* the weak Express a desire to learn and get rid of self-doubt.
* strong classes increase the desire to learn.
* it is easier to study in classes with the same level of education
* learns to work independently
To improve the functional mathematical literacy of students, it is necessary to carry out the following work:
135
Strengthening system work with level tasks " know-understand-apply-formulateβ
for each Chapter, each topic of the lesson, compiled on the basis of a new teaching technology;
On the lesson we must include practical content tasks, test tasks of various formats, and interesting tasks for applying knowledge in non-standard situations;
* apply the knowledge gained in math lessons, elective courses in combination with life, apply them in practice, solve logical problems learn to output;
* purposeful work with students at school based on the results of international studies and national exams;
* learn to use active learning strategies aimed at developing students ' reading literacy.
Functional literacy of schoolchildren is the development of a student's ability to have a deep understanding of the subject, ensuring the effective use of the acquired knowledge in extracurricular activities, in any situation, i.e. teaching students to effectively apply the acquired knowledge in school in life.
The main functional skills are formed in the school for the following reasons.
Firstly, in developing learning, knowledge is not transmitted in a ready-made form, which the student achieves through their educational activities.
Secondly, in developing learning, the student opens holes in his consciousness, solving problems of increased complexity. Each student can achieve development to their own level. The absence of the concept of "good student"," bad student", encourages children to cognitive activity, increases their curiosity.
Third, the main means of developing the student's personality is his own activity.
Therefore, teaching methods in developing learning set a goal of solving problems and contradictions, putting the student in an active working situation.
Fourthly, the effectiveness of the system of developing learning bears fruit only thanks to the new relationship between the student and the teacher.
We especially note the methods of criteria-based assessment, which allow us to evaluate students ' knowledge in a new way. Therefore, it is suggested that in the
136
quarter 30% - formative evaluation, 20% - summative evaluation t and 50% - evaluation of the result of the work for the quarter.
There are many justifications for this approach and fact.
Conclusion: In this paper, special attention was paid to the process of education as a process of personal development with the introduction of a new model of education. This perspective presents optimal algorithms for the development of functional literacy of students in math lessons of the updated content of education. In this paper presented a new approach to a new processes of assessing students ' knowledge, which makes it possible to improve functional literacy.
