Registration Code Issues
Issue: I am unable to register Agenda Fusion with my User ID and Registration Code that I have received.
Solution: Please use the soft-keyboard (pop-up keyboard on the screen) to enter your User ID and Registration Code. Other methods of data entry may add spaces or additional characters to the ID and/or code you enter.
All ID / Registration code sets are automatically tested before being delivered to our customers and should work without any problem when correctly entered.
Data Compatibility / Synchronization
Synchronization capabilitiesAgenda Fusion uses the same information databases for contacts, tasks and appointments that the built-in Pocket Outlook contacts, tasks and calendar applications use.
All contact, task and appointment data entered into Agenda Fusion will synchronize with a users desktop PC in Outlook via Microsoft ActiveSync.
If you are using another desktop calendar/contact manager, you may need additional synchronization software that is compatible with your Pocket PC and desktop solution. Uninstalling or re-installing Agenda Fusion will have no effect on the data stored in these databases.
If you are not currently synchronizing your calendar data, open ActiveSync on your
desktop/laptop PC. Under Options, check the types of data that you wish to synchronize with your Pocket PC.
Appointment synchronization issues
Issue: My past calendar/appointment entries are no longer available after a certain period of time.
Solution: Please open the ActiveSync program on your desktop/laptop PC. Under Options, highlight Calendar and click Settings…
You will find an option here to establish how long past appointments will remain on your Pocket PC. If you wish to keep all past appointments on your Pocket PC, select All. Note, selecting to synchronize All appointments will use more memory to store these appointments on your Pocket PC.
Issue: The time of my appointments on my Pocket PC does not match the time of the appointments on my desktop PC.
Solution: Please insure that the time/date on your desktop/laptop PC matches your Pocket PC and that the time zone and daylight saving time option (in the Time Zone tab) on the desktop PC matches that on your Pocket PC.
Data Compatibility / Synchronization (continued)
Task synchronization issuesIssue: After I complete a task on my Pocket PC and synchronize with my PC, the completed tasks disappear from my Pocket PC.
Solution: Please open the ActiveSync program on your desktop/laptop PC. Under Options, highlight Tasks and click Settings…
The task synchronization options will allow you to:
• Synchronize all tasks (all tasks on your desktop PC will be synced with your Pocket PC) This will likely be the option you are looking for if you wish all completed tasks to remain on your Pocket PC.
• Synchronize only incomplete tasks (once tasks are completed on the Pocket PC or desktop PC, they are removed from the Pocket PC)
• Synchronize only active tasks for a certain period of time • Synchronize tasks only in specific categories
General synchronization issues
After installing Agenda Fusion I am getting errors synchronizing (Calendar/Task/Contact) data. How do I fix these errors?
Agenda Fusion does not directly synchronize your calendar/task/contact data. The most likely cause for synchronization errors is a particular synchronization item that is enabled in
ActiveSync. If you have recently installed a new application or enabled a new item for synchronization this could be the cause of the errors (due to the nature of how ActiveSync works an error reported with the Calendar item synchronization may actually be a problem with another Synchronization item in ActiveSync).
Try disabling all items from the synchronization manager and then add them back one at a time starting with the Calendar, Task, and Contact items. For each synchronization item that you add, perform a synchronization to make sure it works properly before enabling another
synchronization item in ActiveSync. Some synchronization errors you may need to fix by either removing/re-adding the item causing the problem. If the cause of the problem is related to a 3rd party software application please refer to their support pages for a solution regarding the synchronization errors.
Also, if you have not yet upgraded to the latest version of ActiveSync (download available free at www.microsoft.com) we recommend that you upgrade at your earliest convenience.
Configuring Agenda Fusion / Settings
Configuring Agenda FusionFrom the main menu, you may choose Options or Customize View to control the available program and display settings.
Data Display/ Filtering
Issue: I am unable to see any items in one of my calendar views (or any other view).
Solution: It is likely that you have the view category filter set to a specific category in which no items are currently available to display.
Issue: My contacts or tasks are displaying in Pocket Outlook, but not in Agenda Fusion.
Solution: In the task or contact view, tap on the up/down arrows at the bottom of the screen. This controls the display of the preview window. If tapping this does not result in your items showing, please look on the screen for the ‘splitter bar’. This thick bar divides the screen into two sections, the preview/details display and the list of your items. This may be currently positioned near the bottom of the display. Tap on the thick bar and drag it upwards to the middle of the screen and release your stylus to move it.
Button Assignment
Assigning buttons to open/view Agenda Fusion views
If you wish to assign your Pocket PC buttons to open Agenda Fusion views rather than the built-in applications, on your Pocket PC, go to Start, Settings, Buttons.
Highlight the button you wish to modify and in the Button assignment list, select one of the entries beginning with “Fusion”.
Tap OK when you are done assigning buttons and the next time you press those buttons, it will open the selected Agenda Fusion views.
Using Category Images
Using category images with your calendar items
Icons may be displayed along with your calendar items that have categories assigned to them (i.e. Business)
To do this, open the main Agenda Fusion menu (see image below). Select Manage ->
To assign an icon to a category, highlight the category in the list at the top of the screen, then tap the icon that you wish to assign to the category.
Once you have completed assigning icons, tap OK.
Category icons can be displayed next to any contact, task or appointment within Agenda Fusion.
To have these images displayed, you need to have categories assigned to your contacts, tasks or appointments. To assign categories to your items, in the editor, go to the category selection tab and check the categories that you wish to assign to the item. See example below:
Contact Dialing
Dialing from the Agenda Fusion Contacts list
Should you need to modify the way your contacts are dialed, go to the main Agenda Fusion menu and select Options. Select the tab with the telephone icon and tap Change dialing settings… This will allow you to control how contact telephone numbers are processed when dialing
To dial your contacts from the phone
integrated into your Pocket PC (for Pocket PC Phone Edition devices), go to your contacts list and either tap on the telephone number in the preview window at the top of the display, or tap on the telephone number indicator letter (i.e. w=work, f=fax) to the right of a contact telephone number displayed in your contact list.
If you are using a Pocket PC with Bluetooth or Infrared to communicate with an external mobile phone or dialing using the speaker (audible tones), please refer to the following screenshot “Dialing” to set which method you prefer for dialing contacts. For Pocket PC Phone edition, this is pre-set to use the integrated phone of your Pocket PC.
Should you need to modify the way your contacts are dialed, go to the main Agenda Fusion menu and select Options.
Select the tab with the telephone icon and tap Change dialing settings… This will allow you to control how contact telephone
numbers are processed when dialing.
This affects whether area and country codes, telephone access numbers etc, are to be dialed before dialing the actual contact telephone number.
Contact View Templates
How do I set the Contact View Templates that are displayed in the User’s Guide? Contact View Templates are currently only available in the Contact Popup Preview Dialog (this is the equivalent of the built-in Contact application preview dialog).
There are two different preview modes for the Contact View: Contact Popup Preview Dialog and Contact Detail Window. By default, the Contact Detail Window is enabled (the window above the list of contacts that shows a preview of the selected contact).
To view the contact details in the Contact Popup Preview the Contact Detail Window needs to be disabled: tap the blue “up/down arrow” icon in the menubar at the bottom of the display of the Contact View to toggle the display of the Contact Detail Window. Now when you tap on a contact the Contact Popup Preview Dialog will be displayed.
How do I display the Notes that I have set for my Contact in the Contact Popup Preview Dialog?
You can tap on the View Menu (Notes) or you can use the Directional Keypad. Tap the right key button to toggle the display to show the Notes and tap the left key button to toggle the display to the Contact Details.
