Creative Director Invigorate

2007 - 2009

Invigorate is a full service public relations company based in Brisbane. My role there involved leading a small creative team to develop concepts that supported communications campaigns and events. It was my responsibility to manage campaign priorities of all clients across four account teams and a total of 30 staff in

the organisation. Key responsibilities:

• Liaise with account managers to develop clear briefs for all projects • Lead a team of four designers to produce creative for print and digital

media, supporting the communications campaigns that were developed for Invigorate’s clients

• Develop brand strategies and identities

• Present creative concepts to clients, managing subjective feedback and seeking to achieve quick approval

• Liaise and negotiate with third party suppliers to obtain preferential pricing and treatment

Senior Designer, APN News and Media | 2005 - 2007

Post-GFC, APN publishes 20 daily and more than 100 non-daily newspapers across Australia and New Zealand. I was a senior designer within their Creative team, working a night shift as part of their Express Lane service — where advertisers could submit a brief and have their design turned around overnight.

Industrial Design is a discipline that is an integral part of the product development process. During this degree I learned not only how to design consumer products, but also valuable skills in research, consumer behaviour, computer aided design, graphic design and
