Software Requirements:
Web Server Software (Lamp Server, Wamp Server) – For Testing webpage in local Computer FTP Software (Filezilla) – For transferring files to web server or host.
Open Source Website Management Software like Word press, Joomla, Drupal etc For Testing Offline: Download wamp from http://www.wampserver.com/en/download.php
Install WAMP
WAMP will automatically install
Apache Server : This will make your local system as web server.
PHP : This will use as front end. To execute php codes in your web server.
MySQL : This will used as backend. To create Databases.
While installing WAMP it will ask for so many things leave all things defaults just proceed and finish the Installation.
After Installation Start WAMP Server using Start->All Programs->Wamp Server-> Start Wamp Server WAMP Server will Starts working and icon resides in System Tray(Right Bottom Corner Before
Date)
Before installing wordpress to local system create a database for future use. To Create a Database in MySQL :
Open MySQL Console By Clicking Wamp logo in System Tray->MySQL->MySQL Console as Shown in the below figure.
Console prompt for password leave it blank and hit Enter. Console shows SQL>
Then SQL>create database database_name; (Ex: SQL>create database wordpress;) Installing Wordpress:
Download wordpress from http://www.wordpress.org/latest.zip
Unzip the file wordpress.zip and put all contents in the wordpress folder to www directory Goto Web Browser(Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox etc).
Type URL http://localhost/ and hit enter.
Then Go to the last topic word press installation page no.14 Wordpress Integration Online
(After successful login to Gmail account double check with sending a mail from other account to newly created one. It’s only recommended, if u designs your personal site then give use your own mail account.)
Domain Name Registration:
Open http://co.cc/ and search for your desired domain name like I selected www.anexample.co.cc and Click on Check availability
Then Select Continue Registration.
After Sign in, register Domain.
Then set up registered domain by clicking Set up.
Click Name server (DNS) to update Name Servers
Then update name servers by giving the name servers by you web hosting provider. For example: use the free hosting sitehttp://www.byethost.com (ns1.byet.org is the name server of Byethost for other host provider have there own name server like bigrock.in having dns1.bigrock.com)
Give Name servers and Click Set up. Then it shows the successful message.
At this point your domain name registration and set up is complete,
Now you need to Register and set up hosting Account. And then you need to upload your web pages. Website Hosting :
I’ll show you a free webhosting service provider for learning…. And to build personal sites Open http://www.byethost.com
Fill up the details and then clickRegister. Then a authentication link is sent to your mail address check the mail box( in some cases the mail directly gotospamorjunk folder in your mail account). As shown in the below figures.
Type the word in the image in text box. The click on Click. It shows the success message and go back to your mail box to check a new mail arrived fromhttp://www.byethost.com which will have all details about the hosting account like (ftp(file transfer protocol) username password etc.,)
All information about your hosting account is in this mail except SQL Database name and the SQL host name. that can be done in control panel inhttp://panel.byethost.com/index.phpusing username b16_******* and password sent to your mail address by byethost.com.
After login you will reached to control panel of your website hosting account. We already given name servers in http://www.co.ccnow we link hosting account to http://anexample.co.cc through co.cc.
Click on Parked Domains to Park the http://anexample.co.ccon byethost account http://anexample.byethost16.com.
Byethost.com shows the Successful message
If here is any error then check in co.cc account that you given the name server as ns1.byet.org or not
Now goto web browser and goto the domain name you registered with co.cc(Ex: here url http://anexample.co.cc)
Here we can see how the database is created.
In control panel click MySQL databases then type desired database name and click on Create Database.
Then database is created in the name likely to be Userid_database_name(Ex: b16_******_anexample) For further use of SQL hostname in homepage of control panel, left frame shown below contain SQL hostname.
Download wordpress and unzip the file to C:\ drive(Recommended) and Click C: then wordpress the select all(CTRL+A). Then Drag and Drop all the contents in wordpress folder in local drive to htdocs folder in remote site.
Then gotointernet explorerand typeanexample.com or the site you createdand hitenter There u see a error message Createconfiguration.ini
Then click on let’s go
Then give required information in that
Here give database name created in the byethost.com (ex: b16_******_anexample) Username and password same as your byethost user name and password (Ex:b16_******)
For database host give the database host available in byethost control panel (sql201.byethost16.com) Table prefix is optional then Click on Submit
Then it promptsSuccessMessage. ClickLogin.
Now you can see the Dashboard to Manage your website.
In Dashboard:
You create, edit, and delete users, pages, posts, media contents You can change themes to enhance user experience
