Kids Triathlon Training Camp |
AGES 8-17This 5 day camp includes coached sessions on improving swimming, running and biking technique, triathlon training including safety, pace, transitions and bricks, and timed practice of each triathlon element working towards a timed prac- tice triathlon on the last day. Spring Break Youth Baseball Camp
| AGES 5-13 The 2015 baseball season is in full bloom and the City of Berkeley is offering a half day baseball camp this spring break. This camp will focus on continuing the develop- ment of fundamental baseball skills in a fun and safe environ- ment, which both novice and experienced players will enjoy. The camp will include instruction in hitting mechanics, infield/outfield fielding fundamentals, base running, and pitching mechanics. No experience is needed to participate in this camp. Learn these skills from experienced Bay Area High School Baseball coaches. The City of Berkeley’s Spring Break Youth Baseball Camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-13. This camp will be a great mid-season review to help players finish the spring season strong and a great intro- duction to the City of Berkeley’s Summer Youth Baseball League.Registration is open now. BERKELEY DAY CAMP
A summers worth of activities in every week! Berkeley Day Camp is full of action packed adventure and messy fun. Day campers visit both Tilden Park and the Berkeley Marina to enjoy canoeing in the Bay, hiking, swimming, and arts and crafts like the-dye and candle- making. Campers will love playing field and sports games, learning basic cooking principals during cookouts, and participating in a dif- ferent special event each week. Transportation provided.

Rookie Youth Baseball
| AGES 5-10Do you have a child who dreams about playing baseball?
Sign-up for this non-competitive recreational baseball pro- gram. Baseball lovers will continue to learn and develop their craft while having fun at the same time. If you are new to the game, you will have the opportunity to learn necessary skills to play America’s game. This program will focus on team- work, sportsmanship and skill development in a fun environment.
Hitting mechanics, fielding, throwing, and catching are all focus areas of instruction. After the first couple of weeks, players will have the opportunity to scrimmage each other and further develop their baseball skills.

Youth Baseball Clinic for Players and Coaches
| AGES 5+With baseball season just around the corner, the City of Berkeley is offering free baseball training clinics for coach- es and players! Coaches will learn basic drills on how to run practices and teach hitting, throwing, base running and field- ing from experienced instructors with years of successful coaching experience at Bay Area high schools. After the clinic, coaches will have the opportunity to practice their new skills with players. Play- ers will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball from coaches fresh off a coaching clinic in a fun and safe environ- ment. This is a clinic that both novice and experienced players will enjoy. No experience is necessary to participate in clinics.

Summer Youth Baseball League

Register at James Kenney Community Center Summer isn’t summer without Baseball! Spring baseball players have the opportunity to extend their season into the summer with the City of Berkeley’s Summer Youth Baseball League. If you are looking to introduce your child to baseball, our program is right for you.
We offer co-ed leagues including instructional (ages 5-6), Pee Wee (ages 7-8), Jr. Bantam (9-10), Jr. Bantam (ages 11-12), and Senior Bantam (ages 13-15). All leagues are designed to focus on participation, fair play, and learning the funda- mentals of baseball while having fun. Players of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Practices will be held once per week between 3:30-6:00pm and games will be held on Sat- urdays between 9:00am-5:00pm. There will be a continued emphasis on hitting mechanics, infield/outfield fielding fun- damentals, base running, and pitching mechanics.
No experience is needed to participate. Coaches are trained by experienced and successful Bay Area high school coaches.

Twilite Basketball League
| AGES 7-16Basketball is Berkeley’s game! Looking for a local league to develop and showcase your skills? Sign-up for the City of Berkeley’s Twilite Basketball Development League.
This program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sports- manship, and fun. Bi-weekly player/coaching development clinics are also offered to all players and coaches to sharpen their skills during the season (on Sundays). Age divisions offered: 16U, 14U, 12U, 10U, 7U.
Practices will start the week of December 1st and will be held at MLK Jr. Youth Services Center or James Kenney Community Cen- ter. Practice times may vary based on age division. Parents will re- ceive regular practice schedule from coach prior to start of season.

| AGES 6-12Winslow Tennis Academy is for players of all skill levels and ages.
For stroke technique, fitness and agility, Ten-And-Under Tennis (TAUT) and older kids, advanced players, adults playing in leagues, doubles strategy, mental approach and team coaching. We’re for having fun while becoming better, stronger, happier players. For our Ten-And-Under Tennis (TAUT) students, we emphasize fun, hand-eye coordination and skills development, and we provide age appropriate QuickStart rackets and balls.
