Browser and Operating System Support

IMPORTANT: Older versions of Internet Explorer (IE) (specifically IE7 and IE8) are not compatible with new enhancements. Loss of platform functionality will occur if you continue to use older or unsupported browsers. Compatibility Mode emulates IE7 and Enterprise Mode emulates IE8; these settings should be turned OFF.

WealthCentral® is certified to run using the following browsers and operating systems, effective with the June 2016 release:

• Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 and Windows 10

• Microsoft Edge® on Windows 10

• Google ChromeTM 50 on Windows 7

• Mozilla Firefox 45 on Mac® systems

• Safari® 9 on Mac systems

Operating Requirements

• Third-party programs have their own browser policy and may only support Internet Explorer. Please review the use of acceptable browsers with your provider.

• The following are the Fidelity-certified programs for using WealthCentral:

• Most recent version of Adobe Flash

• Most recent version of Java

• The WealthCentral Export Profiler is supported only on Microsoft operating systems; it is not supported on Mac operating systems.

Recommended System Checks for Adobe Flash and Java

The following components are required in order to run WealthCentral.

Action Steps

Verify you are running the most recent version of Adobe Flash.

1. Go to the following URL to obtain the Adobe Flash Player version information: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

2. You are notified if you do not have the most recent version installed. If this is the case, download and install the newest version.

Verify you are running the most recent version of JavaRuntimeEnvironment.

Recommend Settings Internet Explorer

Establish the following settings using the Internet Options pop-up screen (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options). NOTE: You also can access Internet Options directly through your browser’s navigation bar by selecting Tools > Internet Options.

Add

WealthCentral and other web sites to your browser’s trusted sites.

Prevents required files and web sites used by

WealthCentral from being blocked.

1. Click the Security Tab.

2. Click the Trusted sites icon.

3. Click the Sites button.

4. Click the checkbox labeled Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone to deselect.

5. If the following sites are already listed, highlight each one to complete the Add this Web site to the zone field and then click the Add button:

• *.fidelitywealthcentral.com

• *.bonddesk.com (BondTraderPro® clients only)

*.fidelityresearch.com

*.fidelity.com

NOTE: If the sites are not present, you must add them manually.

Enter the site name in the Add this Web site to the zone field and make sure to include https:// before each site, for example,

https://www.advisorchannel.com.

Enable pop-ups. Enables Internet Explorer to open the applications in their separate windows.

1. Click the Privacy Tab.

2. Click the Settings button In the Pop-up Blocker section.

3. Add the following sites by completing the Address of website to allow field and then clicking the Add button:

*.bonddesk.com (BondTraderPro clients only)

*.fidelityresearch.com

• *.fidelity.com Accept cookies. Ensures that

internet cookies are accepted for WealthCentral to help to improve speed.

1. Click the Privacy Tab.

2. Click the Sites button.

3. Add the following sites by the completing the Address of website field and then click the Allow button:

• advisorchannel.com

• fidelitywealthcentral.com

• verisign.com

bonddesk.com Disable

Compatibility View.

Ensures that WealthCentral displays properly.

1. Click Tools in the navigation bar.

2. Click Compatibility View Settings in the drop-down menu.

NOTE: WealthCentral should not be listed in the Compatibility View window.

Enable Automatic Prompting for File Downloads.

Allows download requests to prompt the user to run or save the file.

1. Click the Security Tab.

2. Click the Trusted sites icon.

3. Click the Custom Level button.

4. Scroll to Automatic Prompting for File Downloads.

5. Click Enable

Chrome

Establish the following settings using the Chrome navigation bar.

Enable pop-ups. Enables Chrome to open the applications in their separate windows.

1. Click Settings in the navigation bar.

2. Click the Show Advanced Settings link.

Enable Google Chrome’s built-in PDF Reader.

1. Type about:plugins in the Chrome navigation bar.

2. Scroll down and locate Chrome PDF Viewer.

3. Click the Enable link.

Ensure Flash Plug- in is enabled.

Allows full use of WealthCentral functionality.

1. Type about:plugins in the Chrome navigation bar.

2. Scroll down and locate Flash.

3. Click the Enable link.

Safari

Establish the following settings using the Safari navigation bar.

Enable pop-ups. Enables Safari to open the

applications in their separate windows.

NOTE: Applies only to Safari users when in WealthCentral.

1. Click Settings in the navigation bar.

2. Uncheck the Block Pop-up Windows menu option.

Note: Pressing Ctrl + Shift + K also turns off the pop-up blocker.

Firefox

Establish the following settings using the Tools entry in the Firefox navigation bar.

NOTE: Applies only to Firefox users when in WealthCentral.

1. Click Options.

2. Click the Content icon.

3. Click the Exceptions button in the Pop-up Blocker section.

4. Add the following sites by completing the Address of website to allow field and then clicking the Allow button:

Resolution Settings

If you are running at the minimum resolution setting of 1024 x 768, you may experience display problems with some screens. One example is the presence of a scrollbar on the Customize pop-up. Press F11 or click View

> Full Screen on the navigation bar to place your monitor in Full Screen Mode and correct these issues.

Symptoms:

You cannot read some of the text within WealthCentral (screens do not display completely).

OR

You cannot click on a button, feature, or scroll bar on a page, but the remainder of the page loads.

Internet Explorer

Action Steps

Reset Zoom feature to 100%.

NOTE: Applies only to clients running Internet Explorer 8.

Set the Zoom Feature in the lower right corner of the Windows screen to 100%.

Check DPI (Dots Per Inch) setting.

1. Right-click your computer Desktop and select Properties in the short-cut menu.

2. Click the Settings Tab.

3. Click the Advanced button.

4. Make sure the DPI setting on the General Tab is Normal size (96 DPI).

5. Click the Apply button.

Firefox

Action Steps

Reset page to original state. Using the navigation bar, select View > Zoom > Reset.

Reset page to original state. Using the navigation bar, set the Zoom feature to 100%.

Safari

Action Steps

Reset page to original state. Using the navigation bar, select Zoom > Actual Size.

NOTE: Pressing Ctrl + 0 also resets the view.

WealthCentral Reports in PDF Format

NOTE: Applies only to Microsoft Internet Explorer users.

To directly view WealthCentral reports generated in PDF format, deselect the Display PDF in browser checkbox on the Adobe® Reader® Preferences Internet screen. If the checkbox is selected, you must save the PDF file before you can view it.
