Welcome to The Parsonage Hotel and Spa

The Parsonage Hotel and Spa is set in six acres of beautiful formal gardens and woodland, only a short drive from the historic city of York.

Built in the early 1840's the building maintains many of its original features.

We boast 2 restaurants; Lascelles Restaurant for Breakfast and The Fat Abbot Gastro Restaurant for lunch and dinner.

The Cloisters Spa, for added luxury which uses the world famous Elemis brand. In Cloisters you can enjoy a 16 metre swimming pool, jacuzzi, state-of-the-art

gymnasium, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy and salt room.

The Parsonage Hotel is perfect for that special mid week or weekend get away. We are also a popular venue for

conferences, weddings, and many other occasions.

The Parsonage Hotel and Spa has 60 en-suite

bedrooms. All rooms have flat screen Smart TVs, hair dryers, ironing facilities and tea and coffee making facilities, all to make your stay a restful one.

WIFI is available in all bedrooms as well as our meeting rooms, and full conference facilties are also available.

Dining

Breakfast is served in Lascelles opposite Reception in the main hotel 7.00am – 9.30am Monday – Friday

8.00am – 10.00am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays Dinner is served in The Fat Abbot

5.30 pm – 9.00pm Monday – Saturday 12pm-9.00pm Sunday

We do get extremely busy in The Fat Abbot and highly recommend that bookings are made in advance.

Lounge Service

We serve our Lounge Menu in our Drawing Room, Bar and Conservatory from 10.00am - 10.00pm Afternoon Tea is available from 12.00pm - 5.00pm

Our Bar is open to hotel residents (at our discretion) from 11.00am.

Room Service

Breakfast:

A continental or cooked breakfast is available:

7.00 am – 10.00 am Monday to Friday

8.00am-10.00am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Please see the enclosed door hanger menu and place on the outside of your door before 2.00am Breakfast is charged at £16.95 per person and room service incurs a further charge of £3.50 per person.

Lunch and Dinner:

Our room service menu (available on page 11) is available from 10.00am – 10.00pm with some items (marked in RED) available 24 hours. A Room service charge of £3.95 will be charged.

Dietary Requirements

We are able to cater for special dietary requirements and would be most grateful if Reception could be informed of the necessary details.

Newspapers

Please order from Reception before 9.00pm (as a third party we do not accept vouchers). These will then be delivered and left outside your door the following morning by 8.00am.

Hospitality Trays

Tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room. Should you prefer fresh milk or require any top ups of items please contact reception and we will arrange for the items to be brought to your room.

Housekeeping

For any housekeeping requirements i.e extra towels, toiletries, shower caps etc, please contact Reception. Extra pillows and blankets can be found in the wardrobe. All our duvets and pillows are hollow or micro fibre; we do have a small number of feather pillows available if you prefer.

Luggage

If you require any assistance with your luggage please contact Reception.

Emergencies

Please dial “0”. Alternatively if you require urgent medical attention press ‘9’ for an outside line followed by ‘999’ and ask for an ambulance.

Fire

Guests are requested to read the Fire Instructions in the bedrooms and also familiarise themselves with the location of the nearest fire escapes. Fire alarm tests are carried out weekly at 11.00am or 1.00pm on Mondays.

Night Service

A Night Manager is on duty throughout the night. Dial “0”.

Wake up Calls

Please contact Reception, dial “0” the previous evening.

Accounts and Check out

Guests are requested to vacate their bedrooms by 11.00am on the morning of departure. We reserve the right to charge an additional levy (£30 per hour) if the bedroom is not vacated by 11.00am. Please make sure key cards and keys are left at Reception on departure.

Cheques are no longer accepted. It is not our policy to extend credit facility to guests unless prior arrangements have been made with management.

WIFI

Wireless internet access is provided free of charge and requires no password.

The Parsonage Hotel cannot accept any responsibility for the content on internet pages viewed.

Maintenance

We hope that everything is working correctly in your room however if you are experiencing any problems please contact Reception for assistance.

Lost Property

If any property is found we will endeavour to keep it safe until you can collect it. If you wish us to post your lost property to you there will be a £10.00 administration charge.

Any items unclaimed after 3 months of departure will either be disposed of or sent to a charity.

Leisure

Spa details can be found on page 7 and a treatment list available on page 10.

A variety of leaflets detailing local attractions can be found in the Reception area.

Television and Radio

Smart TVs can be used to log into your own accounts for Netflix, ITV Player etc please remember to log out of these when you checkout.

Subtitles are available – please contact reception for us to activate these on your TV.

Church Services

St Helen’s Church is next door and services are held on Sundays at 8.30am and 10.45am.

St Wilfreds Roman Catholic Church, 11 High Petergate, York, YO1 7EN.

Chemist

The nearest Chemist is situated on Main Street, Fulford. The nearest 24 hour chemist is Boots, situated at Monks Cross Shopping Centre.

Taxi/Bus

We have a regular bus service that runs from outside St Helens Church (timetables available at Reception). These run to both York and Selby.

Alternatively there is a Park and Ride Service into York available from the York Designer Outlet.

Taxis are available which can be booked with Reception (please be aware taxis do come from York so please allow enough time)

Telephone

External calls: Dial “9” and wait for the dial tone and then dial your number.

Internal calls: Should you wish to telephone a friend or colleague in another room, prefix the room number with “3”. If you require rooms 1 – 9 prefix with “30”.

Cloisters Spa and Health Club (over 18’s only)

Cloisters Spa and Health Club is the perfect haven to relax and unwind. Using the luxury British Skincare brand Elemis, which offers a wide range of therapeutic and relaxing treatments. Our team of highly qualified and experience therapists can provide the ultimate getaway of indulgence and tranquillity. All guests staying at the hotel aged 18 and over have access to the Spa and Health Club.

Towels will be provided on arrival at the Spa. Please ensure you take your room key card for identification and a one pound coin, per

locker.

Slippers, Towel & Robe Bundles can be hired from Spa Reception for a £10.00.

Leisure Towels can be hired for £1.50 or you can use the ones provided in your room

Please be aware If robes are not returned a charge of £40.00 will be charged onto your room bill.

Parsonage Hotel and Spa, it offers a wealth of character and charm, offering open fires in the winter months and alfresco dining in the summer. Whether you require formal dining for a special occasion or relaxing with friends and family we can offer a unique dining experience.

Our highly qualified and experienced team of chefs freshly prepare all dishes using the finest locally sourced

ingredients. They have a passion for quality offering traditional home cooked food and signature dishes with a modern twist.

However you wish to spend your time, you will be guaranteed a warm, friendly Yorkshire welcome, delicious home cooked food accompanied with quality regional ales and selected wines.
