Description

The Learning Enrollment and Completion subject area monitors learning program utilization and employee learning enrollment and completion rate. It helps the Learning department and business leaders to assess delivered learning hours, courses with high enrollment, courses in demand, and the effectiveness of learning on employee development, performance and retention.

This subject area has no integration to Oracle Learning cloud. A universal adaptor is available to upload and integrate learning system data with HR and talent data in the HR Analytics data model.

Key Business Questions

This subject area can be used to answer business questions such as:

• How many learning hours have been delivered by job function, by department, by geography, and by tenure?

• How many learning courses are available and by learning type? Examples: ILT, VILT, WBT, Blended Learning, and so on.

• What is the percentage of employees who have enrolled in learning courses? By organization? By region? By job?

• How many total courses/sessions have been delivered?

• How many instructor-led training courses and hours have been delivered? • How many e-learning course and hours have been delivered?

• What is the average number of completed learning hours per employee? By organization? By region? By job?

• What is the learning completion rate by learning type? • What’s the learning completion rate of new hires?

• How is employee performance correlated with learning investment?

• Does investment in employee learning have an impact on employee retention?

Calendar A folder containing time dimensional attributes, for example, Year, Quarter, Month, Day, and a Time hierarchy.

Enterprise

Calendar A folder containing enterprise calendar period. Enterprise Calendar is a configurable reporting calendar that can be mapped to either a fiscal calendar or a calendar generated in the warehouse. Enterprise Calendar enables cross-functional reporting between HR, Finance or other analytical subject areas.

Hierarchies A folder that organizes the major hierarchies available for inclusion in analyses. Supervisor

Hierarchy The hierarchy of supervisors within the organization. Use this hierarchy for

management chain reporting and analysis. Top Level Supervisor Name is the top level of the supervisor hierarchy whereas Level 16 is the bottom level. Supervisor hierarchy levels display only employees who have direct reports. Supervisor hierarchy does not display the name of non-manager direct reports. The node Direct Report includes the total number of direct reports regardless if the direct report has direct reports. Position

Hierarchy The hierarchy of positions within the organization. Top Level Position Name is the top level of the hierarchy whereas Level 16 is the bottom level.

Metric Description Calculation

Successful Enrollment Count Number of course activities that are successfully enrolled by learner. It excludes the following statuses: Dropped, Denied and Waitlisted.

Total Enrollment Count where Enrollment Status not IN ('DROPPED', 'DENIED', 'WAITLISTED')

Successful Enrollment Rate Number of successful enrollments divided by total

enrollments. Successful Enrollment Count / Enrollment Count Enrollment Wait Time (Days) Length of time from initial enrollment initiated to start of

learning activity. If learner has to make multiple attempts to enroll in the course, the calculation from the first enrollment initiated date. This is valid only on the enrollments with "Enrolled" Status or the current enrollment for the same learner/course.

Average Enrollment Wait

Time (Day) The average enrollments wait time in days. Enrollment Wait Time (Days) / Enrollment Wait Time Count

Successful Completion Count Number of course activities that are completed successfully by learner. It includes the following status: Completed and Waived.

Completed Status Count + Waived Status Count Successful Completion Rate Number of completions with Completed or Waived status

divided by number of completions with Completed, Waived,

or Not Completed. Successful Completion Count / (Successful Completion Count + Not Completed Status Count)

Score Score received by learner. Average Score Average score.

Internal Learner Count Number of internal learners (employees). Total Count of Learners where Internal Learner Flag = ‘Y’

Unique Employee Count Distinct employee count for the enrollments. Count of Employee ID Course Passed Count Number of courses that are passed by learner. Total Count of Courses

where Pass Flag =’Y’ Course Required Count Number of enrollments with courses that are required

courses. Total Count of Courses where Required Flag =’Y’ Delivered Training Hours Number of training hours delivered. It includes the hours for

the following completion statuses: Completed and Not Completed.
