Can you make a rain stick?
Rainsticks are ancient musical instruments used by Aboriginal Australians (as well as others around the world) that were thought to bring rain to droughted land.
Examples of rainsticks below. It would be great to see your rainsticks decorated with dot painting like you did yesterday! You will need:
A cardboard tube. Elastic bands. Rice.
2 x pieces of paper for each end.
1. Decorate the tube, then leave to dry.
2. Cover one end with paper and put an elastic band round to seal. 3. Fill the inside with rice.
4. Cover the other end with paper and an elastic band. 5. Now you can use your rain stick!

Australia
The Great Barrier Reef in Australia has so many sea creatures that live or visit. But unfortunately because of plastic pollution, our sea life is suffering.
This episode of Go Jetters is an informative but child friendly way of informing children about the problem of plastic pollution.
