What is dBRAIN?
Protection your information
Protecting a business’s vital information that is distributed across LANs in
offices across the country or around the world is a formidable challenge.
The same is true for laptop users who may be carrying important data
around on their mobile hard drives, without taking the necessary backup
measures to ensure data integrity and accessibility in the case of data loss.
Safeguarding your remote data
Safeguarding
remote
data
is
a
hit-or-miss
proposition
for
most
organizations. Backup quality depends on local staff and equipment. As a
result, information that is crucial for day-to-day operations and falls under
compliance regulations may go unprotected.
The solution to recover and protect your information
dBRAIN provides the ideal solution for organizations concerned with data
loss and regulatory requirements. It allows them to quickly recover lost files,
documents and critical data, protecting them from potential business
disruption and from the long-term damage that lost data can cause.

Why use dBRAIN?
Curaçao, located in the Dutch Caribbean, is the best location for supporting the
Caribbean area with our DR and Data Protection Solution. The island’s location
outside the hurricane belt means the chances of a direct hit are close to none.
This gives Curaçao an edge in the Caribbean with its obvious threat of storms
which, according to predictions of climate change, will only increase in times to
come. Also, Curaçao boasts a stable political and legal climate, outside of US
regulations.
Most companies still trust the backup of their most vital resource - data - to a
fragmented and often ineffective policy of distributed tape devices, manual
routines and offsite tape storage.
dBRAIN addresses the drawbacks of this
common approach to backup with a unique service proposition giving you:

How dBRAIN works
The dBRAIN offering has two main components:
1. The dBRAIN DS-System is located in dBRAIN’s data center and stores data
received from various DS-Clients. Data within DS-System is always encrypted.
2. The dBRAIN DS-Client is located at customers’ sites and remote locations. It
collects data from the customers’ physical and virtual machines and transmits it
to the DS-System, over the WAN. The DS-Client performs deduplication,
compression and encryption before transmitting the data to the DS-System.
The DS-Client license is free of charge and customers may install as many as
required. It may run on a physical or virtual machine.
