and Cloud Computing

Introducing SyncMaster Cloud

the evolution of the Monitor is Complete

SyncMaster Cloud is a whole new class of professional-grade monitors specially designed for

desktop virtualization and cloud computing. The SyncMaster Cloud connects directly to the network

so there is no need for a separate PC or thin-client at the employee’s desk – just the Cloud display.

With Cloud displays, employees can access their computing resources from a slim, clutter-free and

energy-efficient monitor. Organizations can centralize sensitive data into the data center or cloud

where it can be protected. Cloud displays also improve productivity by centralizing IT support and

minimizing employee downtime.

(3)

Key Benefits

Strengthen Data Security

Centralize sensitive data to a secure,

managed environment where it can be

protected and backed up. The SyncMaster

Cloud does not have a disk drive to store

data, so confidential data is protected from

hackers and unauthorized users.

Lower Support Costs

With Cloud displays, most maintenance and

support tasks can be performed centrally

– no need to visit the employee’s desk.

Software patches and upgrades can be made

simultaneously to all Cloud displays.

Cloud displays require very little on-site support

so most issues can be fixed remotely to minimize

employee disruption. Improve employee work

areas by eliminating the bulky PCs which take up

precious space and clutter the work area with a

tangle of cables.

Reduce Electricity Use by 60%

Reduce electricity use by eliminating the need for

a separate PC. The SyncMaster Cloud connects

directly to the network so there is no need for a

power-hungry PC. Electricity can be cut by at

least 60% when compared to a traditional PC

and monitor setup.

Rely on Legendary

Samsung Quality

SyncMaster Cloud displays are engineered

with the latest display technologies and

built with high quality components by the

world leader in displays.

Migrate Seamlessly to Desktop Virtualization

Samsung has partnered with leading desktop virtualization companies

including VMware

®

, Citrix

, Cisco

, Microsoft

®

and Teradici

to

provide the widest choice in desktop virtualization platforms. Cloud

displays can be deployed quickly and are available in a variety of

sizes and form factors for maximum flexibility.

(4)

All-in-One Design

Create more workspace

by

eliminating the need for

a separate PC or thin-client.

Only the monitor, keyboard and

mouse are on th

e desk.

Enhanced Connectivity

Connect peripherals right from

the display. Cloud displays have

multiple ports to connect to most

peripherals.

Superior Ergonomics

A Height-Adjustable Stand (HAS)

that also tilts and swivels ensures

adjusability that accomodates

any user

.

Integrated Speakers

(optional)

Create a sleek, compact design and

reduce cable clutter even further with

integrated speakers.

MagicRMS

Pro Software

Manage the thin-client Cloud displays

from a central location with Samsung’s

MagicRMS Pro software. Zero-client

Cloud displays can be managed with

Teradici management console.

MagicRMS Pro Remote Control Status Monitoring Reporting S/W Installation Easy To Use Asset Mgmt.

Key Features

Universal Power

Over Ethernet

Power the display directly from the

Ethernet cable with Samsung’s

Cloud display model NC220P, which

works with Cisco’s Universal Power

Over Ethernet (UPOE

) technology.

This requires connection to Cisco

Catalyst 4500E switch.

(5)

Cloud displays are ideal for organizations that want to improve productivity, lower support costs and protect sensitive data.
