Our goal is to facilitate a happy and meaningful life, regardless of age, mental or physical limitations. We are committed to helping our residents live the fullest life possible, with daily opportunities for recreation, learning, culture and fun. At the Lighthouse, your loved one will be treated to a stimulating environment designed to give meaning and purpose, while promoting the optimal cognitive and emotional health. We continually strive to engage residents in meaningful, therapeutic activities, focusing on their strengths and capabilities. Featuring the Habilitation model pioneered by the Massachusetts chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, we create opportunities for residents to experience success throughout the day.

When it comes to care, we offer a full range of services to support your loved one regardless of the stage of their individual circumstances. Our professional staff is augmented by a full complement of specialists, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, dentists, podiatrists, physical therapists, and others who come to The Lighthouse to provide direct care to each resident.

Dining: A Delicious Difference!

Whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner, there’s always something good to eat at The Lighthouse. And with our restaurant-style dining, there’s the daily opportunity for sharing meals with good friends.

Residents and their guests have the pleasure of sitting down every day in a beautiful dining room, treated to delicious meals prepared with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Our professional chefs create menus to reflect the individual tastes of our residents, and they update them seasonally to take advantage of local favorites.

We are happy to accommodate residents who have particular dietary needs, such as low-sodium or sugar-free. In addition to friendly table service, our staff shows off its talents with elegant buffets, outdoor barbecues, themed meals, chef’s tables and other special presentations.

The Lighthouse’s culinary staff is focused on keeping residents’ tastes in mind. Input is important, and caregivers are

encouraged to give recommendations on meal planning. Have a favorite recipe you’d like to share? We feature menu items based on our residents’ favorites, right along with the chef’s specialties.

Daily Life

On-site Healthcare Health care professionals visit on-site, including a primary care physician, podiatrist, audiologist, dentist, physical/occupational therapist, chiropractor and more.

Activities Enrichment Program A variety of activities are available throughout each day at The Lighthouse. Our specially-trained staff plans activities that stimulate a resident’s physical and psychological capacities, and helps them maintain an overall state of wellbeing.

Safe Environment Our open, yet secure environment offers safety without restriction. The Lighthouse’s state-of-the-art security system exceeds all government requirements, and keeps our staff quietly informed about residents’ whereabouts at all times.

Family Family, friends and neighbors are encouraged to join our caregivers in creating a community that celebrates each day. We invite loved ones to visit often, participate in planned activities, and use our private dining room on special occasions.

Memory Boxes Memory boxes are located throughout the community to help stimulate memories by offering visual accessibility to real-life experiences from the past.

Respite Program Caring for someone with memory loss or Alzheimer’s can be both physically and emotionally draining. The Lighthouse offers respite care to give

caregivers a rest from the demands of their responsibilities. Respite residents enjoy all of the care and amenities at The Lighthouse, including dining, activities programs, rehabilitation therapies and outings in a safe, secure environment.

Laundry Services The Lighthouse at Lincoln provides daily laundry service for each resident at no additional charge.

Housekeeping Services The professional housekeeping staff performs daily light cleaning, which includes changing and laundering bed linens.

Transportation We offer complimentary scheduled transportation to our residents for outings, shopping and entertainment excursions.

Council on Aging Residents have direct access to the local Council on Aging, for valuable resources and recreational opportunities.

Barber/Beauty Shop Barber and beauty salon services are offered right within the residence; appointments are easily made through the staff.

The Neighborhoods at The Lighthouse

One One of the most unique features of The Lighthouse is its neighborhood configuration—a series of four interconnected areas serving residents with differing needs. From Maple, to Oak, to Birch and Cedar, each neighborhood allows residents to thrive in a community setting that is specifically geared towards the services that they require at that time.

Each neighborhood offers a dining room/café, common areas for relaxation and entertainment, resident rooms, access to a secure outdoor courtyard, and immediate proximity to a nurses’ station. Our staff are always up and involved with residents offering personal attention.
