The interest in Fair Trade has grown far beyond the
lead products of coffee, chocolate and tea during the
past several years. Consumers are advocating for a just economic
system in which farmers and artisans, the producers of the goods
we purchase, are paid a living wage.
Fair Trade is a system in which a fair price is paid at each link in
the distribution chain. This Directory has been developed so that
you will have less difficulty in finding businesses which carry Fair
Trade products."
You will note that there are many cafes and restaurants in
South-eastern Wisconsin which serve Fair Trade coffee. But there are
also many other shops featuring Fair Trade foods, gifts and even
sweatshop free clothing."
