The Allen F.H.A. chapter started in 1950. F.H.A. stands for Future Home ~Yokers of America. ln

1963 they went on a trip to Colorado. They stayed at Rocky Mountain Park at the Camping area. They also visited many different and exciting places. Two of these places were Estes Park and Denver. They

also saw the huge mint while in Denver. After a few days of site seeing and a lot of fun they decided

there's no place like home.

The F.H.A. every year v1s1ts the old folks home 1n Ponca. They sing and play during the evening.

They also visit with various individuals.

They have a Round-the-World dinner specifically for U.N. Day. This brings families of F.H.A. girls together. They have foods prepared that represent the food from around the world.

The F .H.A. sponsors Butter-Nut strips collections at Christmas time to buy presents for the Orphans. In February the F.H.A. and F.F.A. sponsors a Sweet Heart Dance. At this time the King and Queen are crowned.

In IYorch they have a fun filled time getting ready for their Polio benefit basketball game.

This history of the class of '64 is to aid in remembrance of the hard work and experiences that the senior class has participated in during the post four years of their high school life.

In September of 1952 the following enrollment mode up the 1st grade to later become the graduating c loss of 1964:

Terry Gries, Eva Ellis, Irma Osbohr, Richard Osbohr, Dixie Pederson, Robert Frerichs, Koren Prouse, David Roberts, Billy Ell is, Mary Lou Horn, Jacquelyn K jer, Marilyn Kor !berg, Peggy Word, Koth lene Mitchell, Judy Horn, Esther Combs, Pamela Christensen, Albert Horn, Dennis Rasmussen, Ronald Schubert, Tommy Ellis, Dean Lisle, Dwight Gotch, and David Ellis.

Of these students, the following ore members of the graduating class of 1964: Irma Osbohr, Richard Osbohr, Ronald Schubert, and Dwight Gotch.

We began as freshmen in 1960. We elected officers as follows: President, Dwight Gotch; Vice Presi-dent, Richard Osbohr; Secretory, Sondra McCaw; and Treasurer, Dean Lisle. At this time there were six-teen members in the class and Mr. Mozer was acting as sponsor. Fo; recreation we had a supper party which was combined with the sophomore class.

As we started our sophomore year we were minus a few of our regular freshmen members. Dianna Big-gerstaff was married, Charles Self and Ellen Sherman hod moved away, and Bill Ellis dropped school and began work on a form, however, our membership received on increase of one when Edward Von Cleave of Waterbury began his school attendance here. This left us with a total of thirteen members. The class

officers for our Sophomore year were as follows: President, Dean Lisle; Vice President, John Brawner;

Secretory, David Hickmon; and Treasurer, Richard Osbohr. For our class party that year we sponsored a

sock-hop as a going away party for Dianna Schroeder and of course the usual lost day of schoolcelebrotion

at the Ponca pork. Our sponsor was Mr. Lindsay who, we ore sure, hod fun trying to hold us down in our class meetings.

Following the predictable down hill course, our class of '62-'63 hod dwindled down to a total count of 9 members. Two of our classmates moved away with Dianna Schroeder attending the Wakefield School and Dean Lisle moving to Springfield, Missouri, where is he attending school. In our Junior year we hod two more members get the school sickness and drop school. These members were George Sullivan and Edward Von Cleave. In the second semester Lorry Smith moved to Allen from Hinton, Iowa, and was a great boost to our work for the Junior-Senior banquet. M-s. Oleson was our sponsor and was very helpful in the prepa-ration for the banquet. Mrs. Bovill, Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Oleson also helped for which we were grateful. For our years entertainment we hod supper at the Biltmore Dining Room in Sioux City, Iowa, and each class member invited one or two guests. We also had a chicken supper September 19. The class officers for our

Junior year were: President, David Hickmon; Vice President, Richard Osbohr; Secretory, Sondra McCaw;

and Treasurer, John Browner.

We began our final year of school at Allen High with Mr. Mitchell as our class sponsor and electing for officers David Hickmon as President, Richard Osbohr as Vice President, Irma Osbohr as Secretory and John Browner as Treasurer. On September 16 we hod a chicken supper with a profit of $72.00 which seems to have disappeared in the expanse of time since then. Just after the end of the first semester Sondra McCaw was married to R ichord Heaton March 1, 1964 at the Springbonk Friends Church and thereby de-creasing our graduating class to the number of nine once more. In the process of beginning to prepare for graduation the class chose a white carnation for their flower, pink and white as class colors and motto, "The Harvest of Success Is From the Seed of Desire."

On the whole we consider our four years of high school a very exciting time full of rich experiences in thought which will help us through the rest of our lives.
