This book contains blessings and amulets which bring you luck wherever you may be.

Please note that the information and advice presented in this book fall solely within the scope of personal knowledge and advice, based on the wide and long-standing experience I have gained over many years. This advice is not a substitute for medical treatment or mental care, or any other treatment. I do not take any responsibility whatsoever for the results of carrying out my advice and ideas.

Be careful with the use of the advice, behave wisely and remember, the responsibility is yours alone.

This book is dedicated to my father and my mother, of blessed memory, who in their great wisdom knew how to pass on to me the knowledge and wisdom of the Kabbalah, the importance of giving and accepting one’s fellowman with love. I heard the sentence “Love thy Neighbor as Thyself” many times. It was always important for them to teach me that human beings are not identical and therefore one must accept each person for himself. We are all creations of the Creator and thus we are all committed, each one to the other.

In addition, I thank my wife Yael and my daughters Gabriela, Liat and Noam, who in their great wisdom know how to accept with understanding my demanding work which does not always leave me much time for them.

About the Author

Already from an early age, Itzhak Mizrahi underwent mystical experiences that manifested themselves in channeling (communication with spirits), while the Kabbalah and the Zohar accompanied him, lighting his way. The occupation with mysticism and Kabbalah is like a trail of knowledge and practice extending down the generations of his family, whose roots are planted firmly in these fields and whose name goes before them, heralding their help and great and tremendous contribution to others. This assistance, extending over far reaching areas, grants many people positive and wonderful changes in an illuminating way, all this with close and strict guidance according to ancient teachings and long hidden knowledge that was passed on as an inheritance from father to son and from generation to generation. Throughout the ages, there were always Sages in the royal courts and in central places - soothsayers and prophets who bestowed their advice on the basis of their familiarization with the stars and with hidden sources like the Kabbalah, the Holy Zohar, the Bible, and more. The roots of the Kabbalah emanate from geniuses (Geonim) and the very understanding and implementing of the knowledge, enables opening what is concealed in man, so as to recognize his limits and use his skills to full personal attainment and even to control his fate in the best way and with the aid of guiding people, like Itzhak.

(9)

Itzhak Mizrahi is fourth generation in the traditions of an ancient family engaged in the sacred work which with its help, support, intention and guidance lights the ways and lives of many who “got lost”. All this, with the enlightening tools of the Book of the Holy Zohar, the Kabbalah, the Rambam (Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon, known also as Maimonedes) and more.

His experience spans 35 years of helping fellowmen in every kind of complex personal problems, big and small, including: release from depression and stagnation, domestic peace, bringing together, matchmaking, removing the evil eye, protection and safeguarding, writing of amulets, help in finding love, mediation, relations and social ties, release from traumas, improvement of relations between parents and children, fate opening, return a lost love, health-related subjects, and more.

Itzhak Mizrahi is an expert and artist in the writing of strictly kosher, original, amulets and seals, including King Solomon’s Seals, written personally in accordance with special tradition, according to the secrets of the times and dates of writing, which gives them their great power in the changing of energies and lives of people and their families.

The amulets are written for many goals, for instance: helping students who find difficulties in their studies, matchmaking, health, livelihood and success in business, and their power and the results in the field have, for many years, proved them to be greatly effective.

Itzhak Mizrahi assists in release, cleansing and disconnection from sorcery and bad karma from the past. He lectures on all aspects of mysticism and spiritualism and is an author who writes on all the said subjects. Among his best-sellers, you can find: “May We Not Know Misfortune” and more.

Introduction

This book is a collection of virtues (segulot), spells, amulets and other good advice from the words of the Sages. For the first time, virtues and amulets are published, after they were kept in my family for generations and passed in secret down the ancestral line, among the other practical Kabbalah advice.

The information introduced in this book is about the purity of the Kabbalah and it bears no connection with impurity or sorcery.

You will not find here advice like:”Take out the wolf’s eye, dry it and carry it in your purse to ward off the evil eye…” or “Cook a live frog in order to remove this pain or the other”. This book on the Kabbalah is clean from any action that is likely to cause any kind of suffering to animals. Nowadays, one can skip all those actions that cause animal abuse.

All the advice in the book are easy to perform and accessible to everyone.

In addition, for the first time, advice is introduced here about how to recognize invalid virtues, how to know that what is given to us is kosher and not faulty, how to recognize defective holy works that cause impedance and failures in life.

Part of the information in this book was compiled from Kabbalistic sources like the Book of the Zohar, the Book of Secrets (Raziel the Angel), prayer books and books of Jewish traditions from diverse denominations.

This book will serve one and all in everyday life in solving different problems that arise at any given moment:

Problems of health, marital relationships, livelihood, love, betrayal, the evil eye and sorcery, lack of success and absence of luck, etc.

Practical Kabbalah

What is Practical Kabbalah?

There are two strata of Kabbalah:

Theoretical Kabbalah - This is the deep instruction revealed by the Kabbalah at the Creation - the internal light of the Lord at the Creation and the infinite, everlasting and encompassing light of God.

Practical Kabbalah - Practical Kabbalah makes use of the wisdom of the Kabbalah to influence events occurring in the world and in man’s life. Sometimes, practical Kabbalah invites spiritual forces like angels and other beings that exist in the universe and commands them – or swears them in, to carry out an act or to fulfill a certain position in tangible reality.

400 years ago, the Holy Ari, (Rabbi Isaac Ben Solomon Luria) of blessed memory, ruled that in our generation, we are forbidden to involve ourselves in practical Kabbalah, since we do not have the possibility to purify our bodies. Occupation with practical Kabbalah by anyone without the proper knowledge is very harmful.

When the founder of Hassidism, the Baal Shem Tov, was still a young righteous man, he encountered a dangerous situation. In order to flee, he had to cross a river. Since he was familiar with the mysteries of practical Kabbalah, he knew how to pronounce the secret names of God. By doing so, he received strength to cross the river and was spared. It is said that, all his life, the Baal Shem Tov regretted having been forced to use practical Kabbalah which had been forbidden for use by the Holy Ari, of blessed memory.

(14)

According to the Kabbalah, involvement with it is permissible for a married man over 45, the father of at least three children, who was in the past a learned scholar (Talmid Huchum). Women are forbidden to deal in the Kabbalah and, in particular, to read other people’s fortunes in the Book of the Zohar and to be involved in practical Kabbalah. The reason for this is that a woman is in different periods of impurity during her life and occupation with the Kabbalah at a time of impurity is likely to bring disaster on her and on her family or those around her. It is known that the Kabbalah is a secret that could cause a man to lose his mind and, therefore, many restrictions are placed in the way of whoever wishes to be involved in the secret.

Today, there are women and very young people who learn Kabbalah in courses and workshops. These studies are superficial only and do not deal with the secrets of practical Kabbalah that emanate from the Kabbalah and the Zohar.

Is it appropriate to receive advice from Kabbalists?

Inviting spiritual powers to perform man’s will is strictly forbidden. Nevertheless, there are other actions that although not forbidden constitute only a superficial part of the Kabbalah. Sometimes people go to a “Kabbalist” and request that he determines if their partner is suitable for them, according to the names of the potential couple and according to calculations of the Kabbalah. Kabbalists make these calculations in many ways. However, it is important to understand that this is very superficial and insignificant. It is not recommended at all to ask for such advice. This type of calculation is not considered to be forbidden practical Kabbalah, but does not provide answers in depth. A true Kabbalist is a man who developed from the spiritual aspect as a result of his innocent efforts to help his fellowman. From this, he achieves real spiritual senses and does not use technical or superficial devices. A real rabbi, for instance a Hassidic rabbi, is therefore the

(15)

right address to contact for all questions about life. This truly righteous person involves himself in the internal study of the Kabbalah to such a tremendous extent, that he achieves a feeling of reality deep in his soul and he knows what to recommend every person who approaches him for help.

(16)

Are Amulets Considered as Practical Kabbalah? Are they beneficial?

Amulets are at the border of practical Kabbalah. There is a reference to amulets in the Torah. When a great, wise scholar writes holy names (without saying them out loud) on a card and places the card into a receptacle worn by the recipient, or makes use of it according to the advice of a Kabbalist, there are likely to be very great medical and spiritual powers to this action. During his early life, the Baal Shem Tov, since he was a healer, would make use of amulets. At the end of his life, the Baal Shem Tov no longer used to write the names of the Almighty on amulets, but his first name only: either “Israel, son of Sarah” or “Israel, son of Eliezer”. So was the perfect amulet that was given by the Baal Shem Tov.

It is known to us that the Rabbi from Lubavitch gave dollars to people so that they would donate the money to charity. He gave an actual material gift, but this gift was tied to the spiritual commandment (mitzvah) of charity. Due to the existence of the commandment of charity by man, the person who performed the charity could be blessed. The Sages of Blessed Memory (Chazal) say that whoever receives a coin from Job (who was a righteous man), receives a blessing. There is a source in the Torah that indicates that receiving a coin from a great, righteous man brings a blessing.

That being the case, we see that there are permitted amulets. The determining factor in their effectiveness is the righteousness and the intention of the person who provides them.

(17)

The Book of the Zohar as the Principal Source of Practical Kabbalah

Starting from 1280, the first sheets of the central composition of Kabbalistic literature, the Book of the Zohar, began to appear. Academic research relates its composition to Rabbi Moshe De Leon and the date of its writing from 1280 to the death of the author in 1305. The book, related by Kabbalists to Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his group of disciples, did not receive fame or publicity and was known only to the Kabbalists.

During the 15th century, innovations in the doctrine of the Kabbalah diminished, but in 1492, there was a deep revival of the Kabbalistic doctrine as a result of the expulsion from Spain, and the center of gravity moved to the town of Zefat. The sanctification of the Book of the Zohar and its wide-reaching influence grew as a result of the trauma of the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492. The doctrines of the Kabbalah gave extensive coverage to the yearning for redemption of the grieving people suffering from the crisis of exile. The Kabbalah and the Book of the Zohar emerged from the domain of the closed sect of the members of the Kabbalah and spread to the masses of the House of Israel

An additional thrust to the circulation and sanctifying of the Book of the Zohar came in the 16th century, with its publication (for the first time in Mantua). Its influence reached its peak amongst the Kabbalists of Zefat, in particular the Kabbalah of the Ari, many of the innovative mystical ideas of which emanated from the interpretation of the Book of the Zohar. The Zohar turned to be the main source of occult teachings, and earned itself a canonical place next to the Bible and the Talmud. Nevertheless, throughout the generations, from the beginning of the appearance of the book and up to the Age of Enlightenment, there were those who opposed it for various reasons, and the debate

(18)

Structure of the Ten Spheres (Sephirot)

The model of the Ten Spheres of Kabbalah represents the process of consolidation of the divine energy frequencies that gradually descend from the highest and most spiritual stratum (Crown -Keter) to the most corporeal (Kingship– Malkuth).

The structure and order of the Spheres is very important. The position of each Sphere gives us information about its qualities and also about its reciprocal relationship with the other Spheres. The position comprises two parameters:

Height of the Sphere: The higher the Sphere, the more spiritual and metaphysical it is, and thus, it is supposedly, closer to God. The Spheres that are situated one above the other have similar characteristics and they reinforce each other.

Side of the Sphere: There are three sides, “pillars” or “lines” in the language of the Kabbalah - right, center and left. Spheres that are situated one next to the other are Spheres that contradict each other and carry out between them a dialectical relationship of antagonism and completion. Each side has its own special characteristics:

Right – the “male” side: This side is characterized by active forces, with a tendency to expand and spread without complexity and detail. Left – the “female” side: This side is characterized by passive forces with a tendency to be reduced and enter into definitions and details. The Center Line – The “mating” side. This line is characterized by balanced forces, seeking to unite the opposites, the male and the female, and to reach perfection.

The Spheres are structured in the shape of the human body and are divided into two groups:

(19)

The three upper Spheres are called in short “First Three” (Gimmel

Rishonnot)” These Spheres are generally known as “the brain”

(Mochin) and they represent the human head and the forces of reason and thought.

The seven lower Spheres are called in short “Lower Seven” (Zayin

Tachtonot). These Spheres are generally named “the building

Spheres” and represent the human body, from the chest downwards, and the emotional and practical forces. Sometimes, the First Three are described as the soul, in relation to the Lower Seven, which are the body. There is a wealth of allegorical analogies to the Lower Seven Spheres. One of them is their analogy to seven historical role models, called the seven Shepherds. These seven figures are also the guests who visit the Sukkah.

(20)
(21)

The Ten Spheres

Following are the Details of the Ten Spheres: Crown (Keter)

The "Crown" is the highest Sphere of all. The name of the Sphere indicates that it is not an integral part of the system of Spheres, but is found above them, just as the crown is not a part of the body but is rather placed above it. Usually, the Crown Sphere is known as "Nothingness", since it represents the empty space that preceded Creation.

The quality ascribed to "Crown" is the willpower that sets everything in motion. The Sphere of the "Crown" represents the stage at which a vague desire is awakened for something, while what it is and how it will be achieved is still not known, but only the need exists for the "something" unknown.

For many reasons - including the fact that this Sphere is not altogether considered as being a part of the other Spheres, as well as the question of whether the "Crown" has its own power or is only a "pipeline" and vessel, just like all the other Spheres – the "Crown" is not always counted as part of the array of Spheres. Consequently, it was necessary to add another Sphere, "Knowledge" (Da'at). This is the Kabbalistic system of the Hassidic Chabad movement.

Wisdom (Chokhmah)

"You will find Wisdom in nothingness". The Sphere of Wisdom emanates from within the Sphere of "nothingness" that is the Crown. This Sphere is the beginning of the divine conception and design of the Creation. In this Sphere, the will of the Crown is revealed and the

(22)

first impression appears that is a general answer to the question "what do I want?" As hinted in its Hebrew name: Wisdom (Chokhmah) is equal to "what power?".

Understanding (Binah)

Understanding is the receptacle of Wisdom. It takes the idea that is created by Wisdom and interprets it, trying to ascertain how it will be possible to actually realize it. Now the initial idea starts to become more understandable and it receives shape and details. Understanding is to be compared with the womb, receiving the male seed – Wisdom, and giving it a body, which is the Sphere of the Building. The Sphere of Understanding is also related to the ability to contain antagonisms and to integrate opposites. The Sphere of Understanding is also called "Alma Edhiro" (Aramaic), meaning "the world of freedom" – the source of free choice. It is also the source of repentance (teshuva) - the ability to turn evil into good.

Kindness (Chesed)

This is the Sphere that brings divine good and infinite abundance into the world, without any account and reduction. Just like the soul of man, it symbolizes the power of love and the desire to improve the other. This is a benefit that has no bounds, neither from the point of view of quality, nor from the point of view of quantity and does not take into any consideration whatsoever the ability of the receiver to contain it. Abundance like this is likely to be problematic for a number of reasons: It does not allow the receiver any independence, like a parent who does not leave his child for a moment and does not let him cope with challenges by himself. In addition, such power does not consider the needs of the receiver at all and, instead of benefiting him, can harm him, like a fatal "bear hug".

(23)

Severity (Gevurah)

Severity is the Sphere that reduces the bestowing of Kindness on whoever is worthy of it. While Kindness is a Sphere of benefit, in Severity there is a dimension of law and justice. The existence of Severity provides a certain explanation to the problems of evil in the world, although the main source of evil is not to be found in the divine Sphere, but in the acts of mankind themselves that prevent good from reaching them, because of their acts of evil behavior. This Sphere is also known as "Judgment" (Din).

Beauty (Tiferet)

Beauty is the Sphere that mediates between Kindness and Severity and constitutes a compromise between the abundance and the limitation of Judgment. The harmony that it brings is what turns it into "Beauty".

Another name given as a result of this is “Truth” (Emet), in its capacity of reconciling Kindness and Judgment. An additional name given to this Sphere is “Mercy” (Rahamim).

Eternity (Netzach)

Eternity is a sister Sphere to Splendor (Hod). It is linked to the figure of Moses and represents a constant flow of continuous, endless giving.

Splendor (Hod)

Together with the Sphere Eternity, Splendor is considered to be the “legs”, the strength that holds and supports the rest of the upper Spheres.

(24)

Foundation (Yesod)

The Foundation Sphere is attributed to masculinity. It receives abundance from the Spheres above it and transfers it to the “Kingship” Sphere. Foundation is the force which connects high divine ideals to “low” reality and makes the transition from the heavenly to the earthly world.

Kingship (Malkuth)

Kingship, also called “Divine Spirit” (Shechina), is attributed to femininity. It absorbs the abundant energies from “Foundation” and passes them to the material world. It is not active on its own but passive and it has no power itself, but serves solely as a receptacle. This is characteristic of the female image attributed to it. The Divine Spirit is the Assembly of Israel. The term “Divine Grief” symbolizes the sorrow of Divinity, which is the world’s divine inspiration, when it is most distant from the divine Spheres that are a source of vitality.

(25)

The bold sexual metaphors that have grown up around the last two Spheres, that deal with the way “Foundation” joins with “Kingship” and transmits abundance to it, are one of the reasons why young people are forbidden to be involved with Kabbalah.

(26)

Luck

What causes a blockage of luck?

Blockages can be caused due to a number of reasons. The most common is the evil eye:

The evil eye can be cast by a family member, or close friend, who is not intentionally malicious, and the person with the evil eye on him is likely to be totally unaware of it.

Numerous cases of the evil eye are caused by relatives, even when there is no apparent reason for jealousy or hatred that can bring it about.

One way of causing the evil eye is excessive arrogance.

Another reason for a blockage in luck is likely to occur as a result of a vow that was made but not kept. Mostly, we tend to make vows in situations of deep sadness or great happiness, without giving them the appropriate seriousness. Our unique, emotional state at the time of the vow is likely to cause us to forget the vow from then on. On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), there is a special prayer for the annulment of vows, but the Day of Atonement comes only once a year and throughout the year a vow could have negative ramifications on our lives.

A miscarriage or relations with a married man can cause depression or negative energies, which are reasons for blockage of luck.

(27)

Another quite common reason is sorcery. Nowadays, many people tend to use sorcery or are assisted by sorcerers in order to achieve different goals, for example: restoring lost love, making someone love us, locking (to cause blind love), binding (not to allow and, of course, to keep away an enemy or competitor in love or business).

One can diagnose whether a certain person has the evil eye on him by wearing a very thin silver necklace around his neck. If the necklace tears during a period of 30 days, for any reason, one can conclude that that person has the evil eye on him.

This is just one of many ways of diagnosing the evil eye. Additional ways are also known to be customary amongst different ethnic groups, each group having its own special ways.

The next stage is to prepare an amulet or virtue for release from the evil eye.

Few people know the true work of sorcery. All those who do not know, bring on themselves or on those on whom they perform the ceremonies of sorcery for them various blockages in all walks of life, causing damage to luck and success, etc.

(28)

The Beautiful Child

(A true case treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

Hezi (fictitious name) aged about 39, came to me for consultation as a last resort after he visited numerous mystics who tried to find the root of his problems.

Nothing worked out for him in his life and everything appeared blocked: He was unable to keep a job for long periods, was unsuccessful in his relationships with women, had hardly any friends, and at his advanced age was still living with his mother. In the opening of fate that I performed, the most simple and basic reasons for his condition were revealed.

Hezi was a handsome child (he also confirmed this himself), and it was more than likely that he had been given the evil eye by a person or people who envied him, causing him blockages and impedance throughout his life. The opening of the Book of the Zohar revealed the term “Evil Eye” (Eina Beesha) twice – meaning that the evil eye that was cast on him was still at full strength.

According to Hezi, due to his serious condition, all the mystics he approached sought the effects of the true sorcery that was allegedly performed on him. Nobody imagined that a simple and basic factor like the evil eye could be the reason for his problems.

I wrote for Hezi a personal amulet to protect him from the evil eye. After about two months, Hezi told me that significant changes had taken place in his life: He found a new job that he liked; He met a nice girl who became his girlfriend; He is accepted and liked by those around him; and He has met new people and widened his circle of friends. Most important of all, Hezi at last left his mother’s home and now lives with his girlfriend.

(29)

A Blessing for Success and Protection in Every

Way and Deed

This blessing may be copied (photocopied), folded and kept in your pocket or purse or carried on your body. You should write your name and the name of your mother on the back of the amulet. (For example, if your name is Michal and your mother’s name is Rachel, write: Michal, (daughter of Rachel).

The blessing, written in gothic, Angel script (the Theban alphabet), will bring success and safety to whoever carries it.

(30)

Good Advice for Blessing Ourselves:

Usually we light a candle in remembrance of others or for a good virtue for someone else to have good things happen, blessing, livelihood and health for them. Now we will light a candle for ourselves. Few people know this, but this is not only good but necessary. Moreover, thinking for ourselves is a blessing and virtue. This blessing is very powerful and will grant us success and make our wishes come true.

Light a white candle on Sunday and say: “Answer me, my Lord, Answer me. I put my trust in you that you will bring upon me only good things and you will make my wishes come true and you will answer me. Give me, God ….” (here just talk to God and let him know what you want for yourself - good health, good relationship, livelihood and abundance for you and your family - each one from his own feelings and self expression). Trust me, it works. The power of the prayer is highly known.

Virtues (Segulot) from the Kabbalah

What is a virtue (segula)? A virtue is something that you believe will bring you luck, protect you from harm, open the ways to wealth and fortune.

More than once, at least, each and every one of us found a coin or some item that we attributed as bringing us luck and success.

The virtue, in contrast to the amulet, is not written according to the name of the person or his date of birth and his mother's name. It is an object that we believe in and it is our faith that gives it its power. For example: A businessman who signs all his contracts with one pen in

(31)

particular and no other does so because he believes that this brings gives him luck in his business.

An additional example is people who close deals and contracts only on a specific date or day because they believe that it will bring them luck. People attribute numbers to their luck and assume that if they do anything that includes the lucky numbers - it will bring them luck. On many occasions, people find their own virtue that they believe will bring them luck, or they approach a Kabbalist and ask him for a virtue. This will empower their faith in the object they received because it was given to them by someone with "authority".

There are virtues that have been passed on from generation to generation, have been proved to work and are considered successful and effective.

Some actions are considered virtues, like scattering salt against the evil eye or hanging garlic at the entrance to the house against ghosts and bad spirits or any other misfortune, or knocking on wood to cancel any negative utterance that was said by a person near you, or the belief that carrying a Book of Psalms will give you protection from any harm and ward off the evil eye.

(32)

Lost and Found

A Virtue to Find Something Lost

Turn your nightshirt inside out before sleeping and then say: “Answer me God, Answer me. Reveal to me where I can find what I lost”. You need to repeat this action on three consecutive nights and the lost object will be found.

A Virtue to Find the Location of the Lost Object

Before going to sleep, you need to write in Angel script on parchment (or white paper) the following names:

Fold it into five and tie it to your right arm. The location of the lost object will be revealed to you in a dream.

To receive an answer about something you lost in a dream you need to write on a white sheet of paper:

(33)

“You will come tonight and show me the location of the lost object”. They will come to you at night and tell you where to find what you lost.

Health

Kabbalistic medicine, in contrast to conventional western medicine, sees a person as a whole. The model that guides the perception is that whenever there is optimal equilibrium in all levels of a person’s existence - spiritual, mental, emotional, energetic and physical – there will also be a condition of good health. Sickness is a sign of energy blockage, or low energy, caused from various reasons related to each one of these levels and also to the person’s lifestyle and his patterns of thought. The role of Kabbalistic medicine is to trace the source of the illness and to remedy the real cause that lies behind the screen of symptoms.

Since the basis of existence for everything in the universe is the genetic code concealed in Hebrew letters and their combinations, Kabbalistic medicine utilizes the different combinations of letters, comprised in amulets and virtues, for healing purposes. In addition, it has been found that Kabbalistic medicine makes use of the special herbs and natural remedies customarily used in folk medicine for generations.

(34)

Tip – for Refreshing Energy:

Washing your face and hands in flowing spring water will cause an immediate regeneration of energies and will greatly re-charge you with a lot of energy.

Virtues for Proper and Healthy Eating:

These are the ten, most important Kabbalistic rules of eating, for good health and protection against illnesses that emanate from bad eating habits and an unbalanced diet.

Food should be chewed very, very thoroughly before swallowing. Eating should not take place in times of anger or troubled thoughts. The best time for eating meat is between sundown and when the stars are visible.

The night meal should be light and not include high-fat food. Eat food that is easily digested before anything difficult to digest. Do not eat pastries that are not well baked.

It is better to eat hard boiled eggs, rather than soft boiled. Beware of eating fish that is not fresh or not cooked enough. All fruit and vegetables must be washed before eating. Eat plenty of garlic and onion and drink less alcohol.

Lastly – eat slowly and enjoy the meal as much as possible. In this manner, you will look after your health.

The Sickly Child:

(A true case treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

Itai’s mother approached me for consultancy via the Internet after she almost lost all hope: Itai had been sick for two and a half years without any clear reason. He jumped from one sickness to another without time to get better and strengthen up and his medical condition had declined even more.

I examined the situation with the aid of a calculation of Itai’s name, his mother’s name and his date of birth, and I discovered a problem, as a result of which I asked the mother to come to me with Itai to open his fate. When the mother came to me with her son, I checked in the Book of the Zohar and found that the boy had the evil eye on him in a particularly severe way, and this is what caused his bad state of health. Apparently, the evil eye had been cast on him, without any evil intention, by a barren woman whom the mother knew. The woman’s jealousy (natural and understandable) of Itai’s mother in her happiness in her young son was enough to cause him such serious damage. I made the mother a personal amulet to protect the boy and she placed it next to his bed.

Ten days later, I was told that little Itai had completely recovered from his illnesses and his energies were going from strength to strength.

Virtue for Recovery and Protection from Illness:

Take the shell of half a pomegranate, empty it from pips and dry it in the sun for a week. After one week, you will have a kind of dry cup from pomegranate peel. Add to this cup a little frankincense, 7 myrtle leaves, salt, 7 garlic cloves and a parchment with the person’s name, Hebrew date of birth and name of the mother. Wrap it all in red cloth

(36)

and tie it with a red string. Place the virtue underneath the bed of the sick person for one year.

Amulet for a Sick person:

Make a mixture of a garlic clove, cut in half, a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of coarse salt. Put all the mixture into some tin foil, close tightly and warm on the stove a little. After heating, wrap in white cloth, tie with a red string and put under the mattress of the sick person’s bed. Upon recovery, bury the amulet in the ground, far away from home.

Virtue for a Sick Person in a Serious Condition:

This virtue is intended for a sick person in a serious condition, whose chances of recovery are slim.

Take a white chicken egg. Write on the egg the name of the sick person, his Hebrew date of birth and his mother’s name. Wrap the egg in tin foil and place it under the bed of the sick person for three days. After this time, bury the egg in the grounds of a Jewish cemetery, preferably near a fresh grave.

Virtue for Good Health – Speedy Recovery from Sickness:

Take a snake skin. Write on it the name of the sick person and his mother’s name and leave in hot water for 24 hours. After this time, take out the snake skin and bury it in the ground far away from the home of the sick person. Pour the water that is left over the legs of the sick person and, God willing, he will recover from his sickness in a very short space of time.

Amulet for Good Health and Recovery:

Take 3 date pips and three garlic cloves and sprinkle a little salt over them. On a piece of leather or parchment, write the name of the sick person, his mother’s name and his grandmother’s name on his mother’s side. Wrap all this in tin foil and hide in the bed of the sick

(37)

person. This virtue will help speedy recovery and will bring the sick person back to you speedily.

Amulet for Good Health:

Draw and write this table of letters on kosher parchment, place it under the pillow of the sick person for three days.

After this period, burn the amulet in the sick person’s room and, God willing, he will make a speedy recovery.

For Healing Kidney Stones:

In order to relieve the problem of kidney stones, there are a number of virtues likely to cure and ease the sick person’s suffering.

A – The most common virtue is to take a goat that was not milked for three days and three nights, and after that to milk it and give the sick person the hot milk to drink - and the stones will break and pass out of his body.

B – Soak three cloves of garlic in a cup of red, sweet wine (some add a tablespoon of honey). Leave to soak for a night and a day and give it to the sick person to drink. Repeat this action throughout one week –

(38)

C – Cook celery, one onion, 5 cloves of garlic and some oatmeal in 3 liters of water for 6 hours on a low heat. Give the sick person one cup of the soup to drink in the evening and one cup in the morning, and he will not feel the pain of the stones in his kidneys.

Ear Problems:

The Kabbalah has many remedies and advice for treating earache or inflammation:

For earache, trickle a little lukewarm olive oil into the ear – and the pain will pass.

For earache in children, trickle mother’s milk straight into the ear and the pain will pass immediately.

In the case of an insect entering the ear, warm a little butter with a little salt, rub it into the ear – and the insect will come out.

For continuous earache, fry a large onion, cool the oil and trickle 5 drops on the painful ear. The pain will pass in one hour, at the most.

Anxiety:

(A true case that was treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

Ariel (fictitious name), aged around 16 never left his house. He did not take part in school trips, did not go to youth camps and never slept at friends’ houses, since every time he was supposed to spend the night away from home, he was seized by a terrible anxiety attack that made his parents come and take him back home in the middle of the night.

(39)

Ariel’s mother called me to arrange a consultation meeting since she felt that her son was not capable of leading a normal life like other youths of his age.

When the two came to my office, I performed an opening of fate and the results I received determined that I needed to perform on Ariel a restoration of his incarnations.

During the restoration, it became clear that in his past incarnation Ariel was a boy who was abandoned in the Holocaust. He lost his parents and looked for his way, walked and walked, until he fell and died abandoned without a living soul nearby and without anyone being able to know his fate. This trauma passed with Ariel to his present existence and was the reason for his great anxiety at being abandoned and left without his parents.

I prepared for Ariel Kabbalistic material for removing anxiety and explained to him at length how to use it. From now on, every time he gets into an anxiety attack, he can overcome it easily by himself.

I heard lately from Ariel’s mother that the lad goes out and enjoys himself, goes on trips with his friends, was recruited to the army and completes all the experiences that he missed in his former childhood. Amulet for Removing Anxiety:

Write the following amulet on white paper or kosher parchment. Place in the hand of the anxiety sufferer for every anxiety attack and, God willing, his condition will be greatly relieved. Tried and tested.

(40)

Improving Memory:

Write on kosher parchment the inscription appearing in the following amulet. Roll it up and attach it to your body. In any exam or any activity that requires memory, you will pass with great success.

Withdrawal from Addiction:

Apart from the writing of amulets with angels swearing for withdrawal from addiction, there is an additional possibility for quitting smoking, alcohol, drugs and more.

You must keep permanently the Rue plant in your pocket and smell it at least 3 times an hour. Each time you smell, say:

“Answer me my Lord. Answer me. Give me the strength to overcome my negative desires. Don’t let my strength weaken along this way”.

Enemies

There are a number of virtues and amulets against enemies, in order to subdue and even neutralize their influence. You need to close the enemy’s mouth and cause him to be your friend instead of your foe. Following are few advice against enemies.

(41)

To Subdue an Enemy or Bad Neighbor:

Urinate into any kind of metal container. Add a pinch of salt and cover. Wait 3 days and on the third day, pour the urine over the entrance to the enemy’s or neighbor’s house. This action will subdue your enemy and stop him from bothering or harming you any more and he will not speak of you badly again.

To Subdue Those who Hate You:

On a holiday or after the Sabbath goes out, read Chapters 35 and 55 from the book of Psalms opposite the house of the person who hates you and at the end of the prayer spit at his house or at him 3 times – and he will become your friend and will not harm you again. Repeat this action three times.

To Silence the One who Hates You:

Take a new rope the length of your body. Tie 10 knots in it and with each one say:

“I tie the mouth of (say the person’s name and the name of his mother) so that he will not speak of me badly and will not slander me”. Afterwards, bury the rope in the cemetery or in the enemy’s garden.

To Subdue every Enemy and Trouble Maker: Write the following on parchment:

(42)

Roll up the parchment and hang it round your neck – and no enemy will harm you and nothing bad will happen to you.

A Saying:

True faith from the heart and soul, will cause everything in the world to exist.

Advice:

A way to solve a problem: Lie on your left side and go to sleep. The answer to the question you asked out loud before you fell asleep will come to you.

(43)

The Home

There are numerous virtues and amulets concerning the home and its inhabitants. There are things that you need to do before building a house and there are those that you need to do on entering the house. It is preferable, of course, to keep your house purified in order to prevent arguments and disputes amongst the members of the household, and other hitches.

In the writings of the Kabbalists it is found that anyone who builds a new house in a place where there was never one before, takes the place of pests who will consider this house as their own. Thus, anyone who builds a new house, needs to ask a writer of amulets or any scribe to write on kosher parchment an amulet to remove the pests. The amulet should be fixed above the threshold of the house and is also advisable to be placed under the windows.

Here is an example of an amulet for the entrance to the home:

(44)

Entering a New Home:

Upon entering a new home, a big virtue is to make a charity dinner, or to give a donation to feed the poor.

Negative Energies in the Home and their Influence:

The wisdom of the Kabbalah teaches us that our home absorbs, receives and transmits energy.

In every action we take, for instance: becoming angry; fighting; arguing; etc., our mood influences the feelings of energy in the home. Every negative remark that comes out of our mouths, like: cursing, shouting, emotions and wasted thoughts or any kind of negative outburst - all these stay between the walls of the home.

The words we use create positive or negative “angels”. The expression “walls have ears” is not a myth: The walls of the house absorb and remember the energy that is transmitted between them.

While we are in the house, the things that are said there and the things that are done there reflect on us and influence us. It does not matter whether actions or words that have already been forgiven or forgotten by us are concerned. Their influence still exists.

Furthermore, if people with negative energies used to live in our house in the past, or there were negative actions, and the house is not purified, just by living in the house we are exposed to the accompanying influences, even if we are not aware of it.

The phenomenon of “sleeping disorders” can derive from a low energy situation in the house. A sick person staying in the house inadvertently attracts to himself negative energies, which cause depression and negative feelings – and these “are absorbed” into

(45)

the walls of the house. In this manner, the house is characterized by a feeling of “sickness and lack of vitality”.

The sick person has diminishing positive energies and, therefore, his presence in a low energy environment slows down the healing process. His presence in a positive energy environment can help him to recover. There are quite a few houses with souls that did not continue on their way any stayed locked within the walls.

Purifying the Home:

There are many ways of purifying the home. Following are a few examples:

Purifying with Candles:

As is known, fire is the best form of purification. Thus, you need to wash the house and light 7 candles (preferably on an aluminum tray) and place the candles in every room of the house for 10-15 minutes. Finally, leave the candles to go out in the living room.

Once the candles have gone out, squash the aluminum tray with the candle remnants and bury it in the ground. Do not throw out the remnants of the candles in the garbage.

Repeat the action 3 times a year. This will ensure a home clean from negative energies and purified all the year round.

Purifying with Water and Fire:

For a period of 28 days, light a white candle next to the kitchen sink and while the candle is alight, turn on the tap in the sink so that there

(46)

action every day regularly for an hour more or less. On Fridays, you must light the candle before the Sabbath comes in.

Purifying with Frankincense and Myrrh:

Frankincense and myrrh are known to be Kabbalistic materials which were used to purify the Temple. These materials are mentioned several times in the Torah and the Books of the Kabbalah.

Some use these materials by burning them and scattering the ashes in every corner of the house and others use them as essence and sprinkle 3 drops in every corner of the house. Either way – the house will be purified by using frankincense and myrrh.

Purifying with Rain Water:

This virtue is aimed at purifying the home and its surroundings. In order to perform the purification, you need to collect rain water in a glass container only and keep it in glass bottles with a cork or plastic stopper. The water must not be in contact with metal. Rain water is considered pure and clear.

Fill a plastic spray bottle (like a glass cleaning spray) and spray the inside of the house once a week, or after the visit of an unwelcome guest or someone who causes a feeling of negative energies in the house. It is recommended to spray the inside of the house whenever there is a feeling of tension or argument between the members of the house. Do not mix the rain water with other materials (smelling substances). It is recommended to keep rain water all the year only in glass containers. This action will keep the house purified and clean energetically, which will contribute to the peace and tranquility of the home and its occupants.

(47)

Converting negative energies to positive ones:

To change and convert negative energies and feelings of discomfort with positive ones, take a common "Rue plant" and strike it on your hands, the right and left one alternately.

Afterwards, smell your hands for a few minutes (I smelt better things in my life but it does work!). Very soon, you will have a positive sensation in your body and you will feel how all the negativity is converting into good and calming energies.

Safeguarding the Home:

Write on a wooden board (cedar) the following signs:

Hang the board over the entrance to your house, and evil and sickness and pests will not come to your home. This is a well-known and powerful amulet for protecting your home against any evil spirit. Amulet for Safeguarding the Home:

This amulet is tested and known as an especially strong safeguard, protecting the home from all pests, devils, spirits and night ghosts. Write on four kosher parchments:

(48)

Purifying the home:

Put clear spring water or melted snow in a glass bowl in the house. This will cleanse the house for at least 28 days. Afterwards, change the water.

Watering a plant with this water after 28 days will speed up its growth.

A Good Tip:

When a big problem hangs over you and there is no solution in sight, write the following on kosher parchment:

Place the parchment under your head, and a solution will come to you in a dream.

(49)

Thief – Theft

There are many ways of identifying a thief. There are virtues and even amulets against thieves and for eliminating them from our vicinity. To Identify the Thief:

A – Take kosher parchment and write on it the names of the people you suspect of stealing – each name on a separate parchment. The size of the parchment should not be more than 1 cm x 4 cm. Fill a clay bowl with water and pour in one drop of Kiddush wine. Place all the parchments with the names on the water and say out loud: “Answer me, Lord. Answer me. Obliterate the name of the thief that appears on the water”. If one of the parchments sinks in the water and the name is erased, then this is the thief. If not – then the thief is not one of the people you checked.

B – An additional way: Take a loaf of bread that was baked the same day. Take a knife with a black handle, and write with the blade of the knife the following names:

Adriel, Samael, Viiroel, Zidekiya. Cut the bread while saying: “I swear on you bread by the power of these names that are written on you that you will not reach the belly of the thief”. Give all those present a piece of the bread to eat, and the one who is not able to swallow the bread is the thief.

The Real Estate Deal:

(A true case treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

Marina (fictitious name), an elderly woman who contacted me, told me that she had been surfing “The Israeli Practical Kabbalah Center” website for a long time and that she wished to make an appointment for a personal consultation with me. When Marina came to my office, she told me that she has been investing in real estate for many years, and that she recently received a tempting offer: An empty plot of land in a town in the center of the country was ready for building with all the approvals and the required infrastructures, and the owners of the land were looking for an additional investor in the construction project, who for a modest sum (US$ 100,000) could receive two apartments in the new building. Marina, who was enthusiastic about the opportunity after her lawyer had also invested in the project, came to ask my advice as to whether or not she should join the deal.

In opening her fate, I found that it was very unadvisable for her to join in the deal. Marina did not seem to agree with what I said, paid and left.

A month and a half later, Marina came to me a second time – with a bouquet of flowers and chocolates. Her story was as follows: On the night after her first meeting with me, she could not fall asleep, but tossed and turned, debating about whether to join the venture. On the one hand, the deal seemed to her to be really attractive and everything seemed to be kosher and promising. On the other hand, an inner voice told her to listen to my advice and not enter as an investor.

Two weeks after she visited me, a report was published in the press about a group of five people who sold plots in a building project to investors, took money from them and then disappeared. Marina would have been one of those who were swindled….If she had not taken my advice, she would be poorer today by US$100,000!

(52)

To Discover a Theft in a Dream:

Place the wax plaque next to your head at night, and it is tried and tested that the thief will expose himself in your dream.

To Cause a Thief to Return the Stolen Object:

Take a copper nail and a copper hammer. Draw an eye on the wall and drive the nail into it. While you are doing this, say out loud: "Adriel and Zagnekol and Adadiel and Azriel and Dahnahel, take this nail and drive it into the eye of the thief (say his name and his mother’s name, if known). Just as I lash it into his eye, so you will lash into his eye until he returns the stolen object.

Protection for Travelers

Virtues, Amulets and Advice for the Way:

A virtue for anyone going on a long journey is to give charity to the poor. You will arrive at your destination in peace and no harm will come to you.

(53)

Before every journey it is advisable to say: “Answer me, Lord, answer me. Make my way successful, wherever I go, and may your angels protect me in every deed”.

When a child goes on his way, you need to say after he leaves: “Return in peace and may the Almighty look after you everywhere you go”. After saying this sentence, throw a little salt from the door entrance, outwards.

“Go in peace and return in peace and may no harm befall you. May you not be tempted unnecessarily, and may your love for me stay kindled and strengthen with every passing day until you return to me, in the name of Barkiel, Petesron, Bit and Teftefia”.

When a woman leaves the house, her husband needs to say: “Who will find such a woman of valor? Godspeed! May the Almighty look after you and no harm befall you. May you not attract any other man with your beauty, in the name of Ozer, Azaria, Hazan, the Lord be it”.

Anyone going away for an extended period should lay a small stone at the entrance to his house before he leaves and say:

“In the name of the Almighty, who listens and does, may I leave in peace and return in peace. May no harm befall me along the way and may the Lord command his angels to look after me on my journey, and I offer this milestone for my safe journey. Amen, Amen, Amen”. For Traveling by Car:

In order to safeguard against accidents, theft or damage, write the following on kosher parchment with kosher ink, fold and tie it with red string, then hide it in the car so that it cannot be seen by the public eye.

The Shop Next Door:

(A true case treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

A few years ago, Tova (fictitious name), the owner of a children’s clothes shop, came to my office. Tova had been running the shop for a few years and was in serious financial difficulties. The business seemed like a total failure. Nothing she did to improve the situation had helped. Her money had all gone and Tova was facing the shop’s closure. As a last resort before abandoning the business, after I was recommended to her, Tova came to me for consultation - simply because she felt she had nothing more to lose.

In the opening of her fate, I discovered that her luck was closed. All ways to success were blocked for her. Perhaps someone had cast the evil eye on her, or something else was blocking her way to success. I recommended to Tova that I would write for her the King Solomon’s seal for fortune, capital, livelihood and abundance. She needed to put this on the wall of the shop, behind the cash register in a place where it could be seen by all the customers of the shop. I wished her good luck and left the seal to do its work.

Five months later, Tova came to me for an additional meeting – and this time – for consultation on “happy” subjects: As a result of the immediate success of the “treatment” she received, the shop opened and began to bring in a lot of money. Tova decided that from now on, I would be her advisor in everything concerning livelihood and finance. She came to consult with me now as to whether to rent the shop next door, that had recently become vacant, or whether to rent another much larger place somewhere else for the business which had grown tremendously. I advised her to rent the shop next door, to renovate it, and to adjoin it to the existing shop.

(57)

Today, Tova employs two full-time workers in the shop and has also added toys and shoes to her stock of children’s clothes. It seems that her flourishing business will keep her very busy for years to come! A Virtue for Livelihood and Success:

Put a little salt in tin foil and place it in one of your pockets. In order to guarantee livelihood and success, change the salt every day.

A Virtue for Safeguarding the Business and Preventing Theft: Put into a snakeskin (a piece of skin shed by a snake), kosher parchment on which is written the first name, mother’s name, father’s name and Hebrew date of birth of the owner of the business. On the other side of the parchment, write: “In the name of Hatamiel, Uriel, Keshriel”. Add a little coarse salt and wrap it all in tin foil.

Hide the wrapped snakeskin in the business, so that it cannot be seen by the public eye.

A Virtue for Success in the Following Day’s Business or Studies: This virtue is intended for those who wish for special success on the following day, in business, an examination, work interview, or important meeting. Pour a little warm olive oil into a small bowl. Stand, barefoot, in the doorway of your home and say:

“May success await me When I leave my home And until I return

From all my ways and deeds. And I will return in good spirits. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Pour the oil over your toes (not in a sitting position) and then enter your house and do not go out until the following day. (It is advisable to perform this action late at night). You may wash your feet and go to sleep. All the next day will be in the sign of blessing and success.

The Small Contractor from Herzlia: (A true case treated by Itzhak Mizrahi)

Shlomo (fictitious name) was a contractor from Herzlia I had known for many years. One day, he came to my office for consultation. He was about to submit a proposal for a large building project in Germany and to compete in a tender with large, well-established companies around the world. The partner who was supposed to submit the proposal together with him had gone bankrupt, and Shlomo did not have anyone to share the expected funding with him. Needless to say, Shlomo considered the matter as lost from the start, mainly because of the serious competition he was up against in order to win the project.

On opening the Book of the Zohar, I received a particularly encouraging answer. I recommended him to go to the bank and request a loan to cover the part of the expenses that the partner who had quit was supposed to pay. I asked Shlomo to bring me the project proposal brochure and I gave him some Kabbalistic substances to scatter among the pages.

Against all odds and to his great amazement, Shlomo won the huge building project. In the meantime, he completed the building venture with great success - a venture that brought him millions of dollars and turned him into a real-estate icon of international class!

Relationships and Love

According to the Kabbalah, the purpose of coupling is to create a powerful, energetic connection between two people, male and female, that will help each one of them perform his spiritual work and so attain a connection with the higher worlds above. Therefore, the relationship must be based on spirituality.

In order to have a relationship, the man and woman need to strive to find their complementary side, so that together they can perform the work that is designated for them at the spiritual level and accomplish the rectification (tikkun) of their souls while they are still alive.

Sometimes, it seems to us that married couples in our vicinity, experience difficult and complicated marital relations and that their decision to get married was a mistake. If we remember that there is nothing in the universe that is by chance and there is a guiding hand that coordinates everything, we will be able to understand that even a problematic marriage plays a very important role in the spiritual rectification of the couple: Precisely, by way of the difficulties and challenges which their relationship brings them, the spiritual work will be performed in full.

Therefore, according to the Kabbalah, the relationship will not be built necessarily out of finding "the twin soul" but from the magnetic attraction of a complementary soul to the life of the person, that is necessary to perform the spiritual work imposed on him.

At the level of the material world, we are not clearly aware of the essence of the soul, the goal of the present existence and the identity of the complementary soul that will help it in its rectification (tikkun). Thus, practical Kabbalah recommends different ways to connect us to the spiritual level, at which we are able to check whether our partners can indeed perform the joint spiritual work.
