into the BFFL annals. Aug 27th we will begin the task of finding out if it was just a fluke or if the Criminoles have finally risen to prominence in the BFFL.
Aug 27th is the cur-rent tentative date of the B FFL’s 1 2 E dition Live D raft. The location of this event is still to be determined. Please follow the instructions for entry fee submission to indicate your desire to be a part of BFFL XII.
Please note the other important dates on the left side. Let the Criminoles title defense begin!
Six Months! It has been six months since the celebration in San Quentin settled down to a low roar following the Criminoles first ever Superbowl victory. If you watched CNN last week, Larry King has been at San Quentin, but for some reason there has been no mention of the Cham-pionship, just a lot of meaning-less babble about criminals and reformation. Oh well such is the life as the current BFFL Champions, how soon you are forgotten! But the BFFL pub-lishing department is here this week to remind you that a Title Defense begins this week!
The Criminoles will kick off BFFL XII as the defend-ing Super bowl Champions
after so many campaigns that ended in Toilet Bowl runs (no pun intended). As you recall the Criminoles rode the
scor-ing champion Shaun Alexander to a tight 3 point victory over the perennial Super Bowl con-tending Branch Davidians for their first ever Super bowl Title and permanent enshrinement
There are three. Do you know th eir nam es? I’ll l give you a hint, its not Larry, Curly and Moe, or any number of other famous trios; Peter, P au l an d M ary, C h arlie’s An -gels, or the Father, Son and Holy Ghost! These three do have something in common
though, no hardware. They are the three remaining teams in the BFFL who have yet to taste BFFL football glory , yet to add that trophy to the case, yet to h ave the title‖D efen din g S u-perbow l C h am pion s‖. They have all tasted some BFFL success. They all have Toilet

Thursday, June 08, 2006 Volume 1, Issue 1BFFL 11 began with the now annual lottery lunch that produced the most unlikely of draft results. The only two lottery lunch participants drew their names 1st and 2nd, and created a firestorm of controversy that lives on to this day. The first round of the 2005 draft which was held at Gatti town in Oak Hill looked like this:
1. L Tom lin son (R G ’s)
2. S Alexander (Crims) 3. E. James (Fighting Elvi) 4. Corey Dillon (Losers) 5. D. Mcallister (Trojans) 6. P. Holmes (Brown P) 7. C. Portis (Chupies) 8. W . M cgahee (B D ’s) 9. P. Manning (Terds) 10. Jamal Lewis (HCP) Week one began with a whimper with 5 of the 10
teams scoring 65 or less! The Crims began week one with a defeat at the hands of The Losers. That would be their only loss until week 7(hump week) . On the flip side the B D ’s did not see the w in col-umn until week 5 with a mis-erable 0-4 start! For the Branch Davidians week 5 was a turning point that saved their season.

The Fighting Elvi finished tied with Rogs at 8-5 and the Chupacabras and Trojans rounded out the Elev-enth Edition playoff field. The Green Terds, Brown Power, HCP and the Losers played for the chance to take home the porcelain trophy in the Toilet – BCS.
After a 5-1 start the Crimi-noles continued to play well and finished the second half with a winning record of 4-3 to close the regular season at 9-4 and the West Title. Mean-while in the East the Branch Davidians overcame an 0-4 start to finish with 8 wins in the final 9 games and the Eastern Division Crown. The Rogainers finished another

The Losers are an easy pick as they boast 3 trophies in the case, more than any other team in the BFFL. They have also never gone and lost. They also have

That is a tough question. Every year some team comes out of nowhere and shocks the BFFL world. Last year it was the Branch Davidians with their amazing run after an 0-4 start. Or the Criminoles finally tasting victory after years of defeat.
BFFL III saw a team The Pack Attack dominate like no team had before. A 12-1 record and the only loss was by 2 points. A shoe in for an easy Super bowl victory were it not for the highest scoring game of the year
by their opponent on Championship Sunday. In the era of TD only this team outscored the rest of the league by 130 points.
My vote though for greatest single season team would have to be the 03 Trojans. That team had a magi-cal season with only the icing of a Super bowl Victory missing. 1371 points (a record that still stands) and at the time, set a single game record of 160 pts on their way to a 12-1 re-cord in BFFL VI. 03 Trojans, Best Ever!

poll is out and there are few surprises in this years poll. The Super bowl champion Criminoles take the top spot in this years poll garnering all of the first place place votes by the sports writers of America. Last years runner up, the Branch Davidians are in the 2 hole following their stellar

the Hustlers. Interestingly enough, of the 30 teams that have played in the BFFL, all of the rings have been won by the current 10 franchised ex-cept the initial ring which the Wait N See organization picked up in year 1. Of the other 20 only 5 finished their BFFL stint with a winning re-cord. Among those, the Com-m ish’s ow n brother w ith his
franch ise ―The Air U p There‖ was the most successful with a 23-13-2 record and a 1-2 post season record. The most suc-cessful current franchise is the Losers who boast an 11 sea-son 83-59 record with an 8-5 post season record that in-cludes three rings. The Rogain-ers have the best post season record, posting 16 wins and 9 losses all time.
The BFFL is beginning its 12th season. In Fantasy Football years that is old. The BFFL has seen many Franchises come in and out. Especially in years 2 and 3 when there were 20 teams. The BFFL had a num-ber of new teams each of those years. There were a number of teams that played for only a year. Teams like The Posse, Los Mighty Patos and

The BFFL is a Fantasy Football league that is
now in its 12th year of existence. For the
last seven years the same owners and their
franchises have been gathering in August for
the yearly ritual known as the BFFL draft.
This is the time of the year that optimism is
at its peak as the teams are reset and every
franchise has an opportunity to begin anew in
that quest for Fantasy immortality and the
right to call themselves BFFL Superbowl
Champions.
